Fingerprint not working after back to custom rom - Moto G5S Plus Questions & Answers

Hi!
I was on official soak test android 8.1 oreo... and i came back to AospExtended-v5.6. Now my fingerprint no working at all...
The system does not detect it.
Any ideas?
P.S. Sorry for my bad english

1>Take EFS backup from oreo soak test {with 4G and VOLTE working}
2>Flash Stock NPSS26.116-61-8 in full
3>Install TWRP and custom ROM
4>Restore EFS from oreo backup
This is working perfectly for me; fingerprint (incl gestures), VOLTE both work; I'm using AOSP Extended ROM

Are there any non-stock ROMs that support VoLTE? (MM OK)

I live in a market where Band12 and VoLTE are required to be able to reliably call\text. All the Nougat ROMs don't support VoLTE and I can't find any information on MM based custom roms.
Does Lineage 13 MM support VoLTE? Are there modified stock roms that support it? The LG Crapware is starting to annoy me.

I flashed the universal patch zip file and no modem at all. Not even bluetooth or wifi.
It's going to need some tweaking to get it on the G4 but it could be done.

I'm about to throw this at my phone to try it out. We'll see what happens. Going to test using SlimRoms 7.x for 811.
Edit: broke LTE. 3G, Bluetooth, Wifi, etc work still. This is an improvement. Unfortunately since this is my daily use device I cant do any more testing. Maybe I'll buy a 2nd H811 in the future.

Any 64 bit Rom (VOLTE Enabled) stable for this phone

I am thinking to change my existing rom and move to more stable 64 bit rom. Any help devs?
almost all the roms have working VoLTE, I would suggest you to try pixel experience first.
And make sure while rolling back to stock rom you need to deprecate modem1 and modem2 files. Otherwise you'll lose imei as well VoLTE forever
Actually I'm non US variant and Volte stopped working on most of the latest Roms ( BL, RR, Xtended) but DU works fine. I also recently re-flashed back to stock firmware and Volte is fine....something is off with these latest ROM builds ( atleast for me).

Any experts here .help pls

I Am Facing Volte issue on every custom rom.
.In detail.
Nowadays i have tried a lot pie roms, some custom recoveries and also flashed latest firmware file from xiaomifirmwareupdater.com .
But after flashing a latest pie rom volte on my santoni is not working.
It is not even working on those roms
On which it works befores like lineage os 15.1 or aosp extended pie.

99% function but 1% not. Stock is best but if you're bored, back up with TWRP and try GSI
descendant rom works great... No issues on my side... all the gestures that comes with the rom made me forget about Moto actions..not to long i Installed "Dolby" it made me forget about going back to stock... Battery wise is almost like stock, the first day flashing the rom was ok, after a week of using it's pretty good...

Unofficial TWRP works for Gapps. Official TWRP doesn't. It's been broken for 6 months
Currently on Moto g6 stock Android 9.0. Is it not possible to flash after rooting on pie ? Also is the ROM daily driver material ? Does VOLTE work also ?

Most GSI requires Oreo base. Since u have PIE, you're limited to phh AOSP v108, Octopus latest, AEX official, Descendant 1.5 or 2.1 made by the Real John Galt avail. on Telegram for G6 (2.0 needs Oreo). VOLTE generally doesn't work on GSI--just 4G. If u need VOLTE, stay on stock Oreo or PIE. RR7 disallows SD card (int/ext) access but works on PIE base

HueyT. Have tried just about every possible way of installing RR on Moto G6. The last attempt was to completely wipe phone(format, and all directories deleted.). Flashed AOSP 9 PHH treble. It booted properly. Completed "basic setup" then after brought to home screen, powered down. Rebooted into FastBoot. Dirty flashed RR 9 from official download site, and it never passes boot screen. Have left the device for over 30 minutes. Any help would be appreciated!

RR7 has broken SD card (int/ext) access so can't download anything or any apps or take any photos. Thus, get Oreo vendors and flash RR6.1 and be done with it

There are several GSI's flashable off of PIE vendors: pHH AOSP v111, Descendant AOSP v2.1 (John Galt has customized it to G6 on our Telegram group with Gapps built-in, but GSI vanilla version listed here will work also), AEX official 6.1, Octopus 11/18, PixelExperience 8/2018 version, LOS16, DotOS and Syberia by Nfound on Android File Host) are those that I can cofirm work on PIE vendors.
The other GSI's are best installed on top of stock Oreo vendors.
Most GSIs, VOLTE does NOT work (just 4G data) and PLAY Store is NOT certified (except John Galt's version as it's customized for our G6). Most Play Store needs Device ID apk to get GSF value to manually register your phone before Play store will work.

[Guide]Enable VoLTE for EU carriers on any MIUI ROM

As you know XIAOMI doesn't support VoLTE for EU carriers since MIUI 8.2.10 GS rom. So now we will solve this problem. Things do you need:
-unlocked bootloader, root, TWRP
- Flash the .zip in TWRP.
- Reboot.
Now you have working VoLTE.
Please if you try this mod let us know what is your country/carrier, and does VoLTE working or not for that carrier, thanks!
