hi guys,
my apologies in advance if the below seems like a drag. but, my issue is as follows.
bout two days ago, i flashed my stock 2.2 Galaxy S with a custom ROM from here/rom kitchen. before doing a wipe and flashing the new ROM, i backed up all the apps (apk files) i had installed using Astro file manager.
once i flashed with the new custom ROM, i re-installed all the apps (apk files) using the file browser.
now, the issue is, when i go into the "my apps" tab of the market app, it doesnt list any of my apps as they were not installed thru the market, which means that i won't be receiving updates for the apps i've got installed.
is there any way i can get my apps to appear in the market app or to get updates through the market app?
any help on this would be much appreciated.
thanks in advance,
cheers
actually, this is no longer valid!!
funny thing is, i checke the market app bout a couple of hours ago and it didnt show any of the installed apps....
then, i checked again just a few minutes after submitting this and vola!! the market has synched with my gmail account and now it nicely displays the apps i have installed.... talk about timing!!!
hiya, im not sure im in the right place but i have an issue with the patched playstore. i while ago i installed a custom patch store (the ChelpuS one that you need lucky patcher for) and i was wondering how to uninstall it and return to the original.
Try using titanium backup or root uninstaller if its installed as a system app.
If you just installed an apk, you should just be able to uninstall the usual way: settings- apps- Google playstore- uninstall.
Newest playstore: http://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=22946563261204178

Hey all.
I'm using a Verizon HTC M8 (2014) and running the latest Cyanogenmod nightly (just installed last night). When I install Xposed and restart, all of my apps, exluding the system apps, don't appear. Under app manager they do not show up either. It doesn't seem I can install apps either (Play store is removed as well, but running an .apk failed).
All my data is still there and if I re-flash the ROM (without wiping), everything is back to normal and all the apps return, but of course Xposed is uninstalled.
Any suggestions? Thanks
I've installed lollipop using TWRP and recovering a backup, and everything seems to be fine, except for the fact that now I can't install apps, neither from apks, Google play, can't even update them. When I do from apk it simply says "application not installed" and from Google play it gives an error 504,which you usually fix deleting the apps data and cache, and Google services's too, but that doesn't work.
I was able to do it at first, after I made it 5.0.2,installed all my previous apps, updated the old ones, except Chrome that never allowed me to update it. But now I can't install or update any app. Any idea what could it be?
I thought it may be related to writing permissions but if that was the case I'd have had he problem right from the beginning.
Could it be a problem with the version of Android I installed itself? I mean I could flash apps in, but not install them in the usual ways.
Hi. I have this device since last Saturday. I was trying today to see if I can install Google apps, because I like stock feeling of android. Now I won't keep them, because without root I can't freeze system apps, and so I would have 2 galleries, 2 message apps etc running in background.
I tried many of them, but when I tried Google phone play store says my device is not compatible.
So I tried to download the APK (arm64) but I can't install it.
Is there a way to bypass this limitation and, why the hell I can't install such an important Google app?!
You must root your smartphone with magisk then you must download Google framework install It and then download Google dialer apk not from Google play store. I have not problem and use It by default phone app
