Does anyone get messages about apps draining the battery when they are using only 1-2 % in total. When you click the notification it doesn't offer you to force stop either.

Deleting batterystats.bin from /data/system doesn't help
what else can I do?
sort of the same problem
even when the battery is down to like 20% it still shows 90% on status
i just ignore it completely and use a third party battery meter like Gauge Battery Widget
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=8124361&postcount=46
it's simply the best!
@op, do you mean the battery indicator in the notification bar always shows full or when you check the status screen? there were quite a few times when i would delete the battery stats on my nexus one and the battery status would show 100% for 5 hrs or so, but eventually it would start to drop. once i fully charged it again it would work normally. one of the few things i hate about the galaxy s is that the battery meter in the notification bar is so out of whack. i hate having to check the settings page all the time and i stopped using battery apps due to battery drain
use the widget/status bar icon i recommended above
Allgamer:
Thank you but my problem was battery showing 100% all the time, it doesn't metter if I use widget or other method.
hondaguy:
Thank you
evantually it started dropping (after few hours)
now it's o.k.
The Galaxy S will show in the notification bar as '100%' untill the 75% mark is reached.
I installed a scanning app. When I realized this app was using 10% battery, I froze the app using TB. After freezing and re-booting, I still saw a 9% drain. It was not until I removed the app did it disappear from the battery usage page. Does the battery usage page show real time battery usage? Just trying to understand the 9% battery drain from a frozen app.
The 9% you saw might be what the app used before being frozen. The battery usage is reset when you charge your phone fully. After that, the app shouldn't show up in the battery usage.
I'm currently on 5.0.2 and after doing a full refresh and giving the phone a few days post-upgrade to settle down I'm getting absurd battery usage stats. Battery life itself is fine (after taming the runaway Google services), but at 50% battery the stats suggest my screen time is responsible for 3% (despite 4+ hours of SOT), Android system 30% and K9 email for almost 30% (K9 kept the phone awake for less than 2 minutes, and Android System kept it awake for about 35 minutes). Those % figures are absurd and I now use GSam to see what's really happening. Needless to say, it gives far more believable stats.
I have no rogue wake locks, I use Greenify to kill errant apps when not using them, wif-fi turns off when screen is off, and my wireless signal is green 90% of the time. Anyone experiencing the same, or know what's going on? I do have stamina mode enabled, so could that perhaps be interfering in some way?

I have a Galaxy S7 Edge and I am getting 4% drain/hr overnight but no apparent partial wakelocks (see attached pic). I also seem to get higher than normal drain during the day. The odd thing is that this isn't consistent - sometimes I get the normal 1% drain per hour overnight. In the App Power Monitor (stock settings) there are no apps that ever have high usage.
Can anybody help please... thanks!
What about the other stats?

Samsung phones tend to drain faster when you are not in a good signal arena. Do you change your location during the day?

I'm currently experiencing same problem with you. I use SD maid app. It has app control which tells me which app is running in background and which app is stopped.
What I do is let all the apps I suspect on running, but all other apps I leave them stopped. Then I shut the screen for 5 minutes. And see if deep sleep count increase, if not I stop more apps.
Just recently find out that Facebook app and Facebook messenger prevents my device from deep sleep, even though I don't see them in partial wakelock. They maybe using play services to fetch data from device.

Had the Pixel 4 XL for just over a week but noticed some strange app battery usage readings. As you can see from the pictures, I only used Chrome for maybe 30 seconds today but it has the highest battery usage percentage. The detail view of the app shows 0 minutes of background activity and 0 active use minutes. I just set it to restrict background usage just now to see if it would make any difference (edit: % still climbing with restricting background usage and no usage from me). I have also had this type of high battery percentage reading occur with the twitter app and Instagram app on other days. Only used those other apps for a few minutes with no background battery usage time but they also ended up at the top of battery usage list. Anyone else having this happen?
factory reset through recovery and restrict app background usage under app settings, I have sooooo many apps with restricted data and background data usage and I get roughly 6 or 7 hours SOT.
yep. I am. And there was one app, bleacher report, that would even use tons of battery when I barely used it, even after I restricted it. That one I just had to uninstall.

just finished with a factory reset so hopefully that will fix it.
Here is today's battery usage for me, restricted apps, 90hz off, Motion sense on
I've only had this 4 XL for maybe a week now btw and I'm a pretty moderate user you can see lol
