i need firmware for nokia 2.1 (model= ta-1080)
can anybodyhelp me with that please.
I just found out that the Nokia 2.1 supports project Treble Partition type A so I was wondering if I could use Pie treble arm64 GSI to upgrade it to android 9. I'm guessing the vendor partition already contains the drivers and device specific changes so in theory I could flash the GSI to system and have it booting to 9 but everything in theory doesn't work in practice so the kernel might pose some issues.
Thoughts?
P.S very much new to Project treble so everything I said might be entirely wrong and borderline laughable. If anyone replies please quote this post or mention me.

How do i root nokia 2.1 pls, I've searched google but to reasonable results.
i need some help getting txt message/call data off my old nokia 2.1 with a broken screen
i have all passcodes (currently lock screen is a pattern, just incase someone thinks im looking for a crack, im not)
touchscreen is split down the middle. half is unresponsive, the other half erratically registeres touches
usb debugging is ENABLED
default usb behaiviour i believe is CHARGE ONLY (although i cannot check that)
adb devices only shows the device when booted to recovery. however adb shell, and nearly every other adb command shows device unauthorized. (this means i cannot use the solutions i have found to unlock and remove usb debug, and my phone wont connect when booted to android to use other control methods). booted into android adb devices shows nothing
so basically im banging my head against a wall atm. i need some of the info in the messages, and i cannot get it another way. does anyone have any possible solutions i can try?
(im good with adb, and intermediately familiar with android and scripts)
Have you tried using TWRP to flash the Magisk zip file to root your phone?

Have you tried installing TWRP and flashing a Magisk zip file? That should root your phone.

I can't even unlock my phone bootloader, the option is greyed out in the developer setting.
Steps for anyone who have updated to Android 10 your E2M devices and are facing freeze issues.
1.Reboot to recovery mode (either by adb command or classic key combination).
2. Wipe Cache
3. Thats all
After this you should experience a little boost in performance.
I tried many other methods but this seems to be only method working.

Got this nokia 2.1 and the screen is smashed barly responsive and i want to recover the data on it (can barely enter pin) and when i put the usb cable in it the screen turns white so i cant tap data transfer.
Is there a program or somthing that i can use to remotly (force) it into data transfer??

Build 8.9 won't import contacts from SIM
As title says. It boots and works great, but I can't import my contacts from my SIM card. I put the card back in my old phone, and it reads it just fine. Not sure if the stock ROM for the HD was able to do it since I flashed the phone as soon as I got it going.
It's a great ROM otherwise, though. Love the simplicity.

Not the most smooth, but so far is working good. I was having serious delays when trying to turn de screen on, or on incoming calls. I don't know if there is a cause-effect, but after i installed greenify, the delay is shorter.
It is a great ROM. I still can't post in the main thread because I'm a newb, but I wanted to post a screenshot of what a combo of SlimKat and Werewolf kernel can do.
This is SlimKat 8.9 and Werewolf 009.

As a comparison, with the stock 4.1.3 ROM from LG and stock kernel, it was getting 14000-15000, so that's quite a difference. Battery life is also loads better especially when asleep.
Still would like to know why it can't read my SIM contacts. I hope it sees the SIM card. I haven't tried any calls or data on the phone since flashing it. Have to wait and see.
I'm having issues with the camera too. It's not just the still camera either. The video camera lags sometimes too. Just stops updating the screen and then picks up again later. Also the display breaks up when changing orientation in camera mode.
Just tried 8.8 and 8.6.1, and both have the issues. Not sure how to proceed. Is there a version that doesn't have camera issues? Not sure how this went several versions without getting noticed. It's painfully obvious that there's a problem. Just snapping a photo lags like crazy, and the video camera issue punches you in the face.

I am a new user here, I have been using xda websites since sometime and finally registered it. I find it more useful and helpful as there is a lot of learning and cost saving here .. Anyway coming to the question..
I tried to update my device as its mentioned in this thread

But I don't know why my phone bricked while I was doing it.
1. I had my phone rooted
2. Boot loader Unlocked
3. custom rom/gapps downloaded and pasted on the device
4. cwm updated using rom manager
But when I went to boot recovery I got some .image error message... Thanks to kdz flashing and LG flashtool that I got my phone back and some how upgraded to 4.1.2 as it was 4.0.3 before ..
So my request is can someone please post the exact procedure detailed in step by step so that a beginner like me can understands well. Or if you can provide a kdz file that is having OS version 4.4.X..

First of all its not called root, we call it full capability unlock. ya of course we can get our device cap_unlocked by following simple steps given over this forum.

Yes its possible to root ur phone with WP internal tools
The recent update from Ms doesn't allow us to use the well known extra+info patching method. So we can't use that one any more.
however I recently followed these steps given here -> http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=64350590&postcount=318
you need to first uninstall mix radio app by changing the date and time setting to 2110. and then reinstall the same on SdCard.
Patch it using CustomPFD given by Xboxmod.

Its 100% working as i can confirm.
Also keep in mind not to update your extra+info on your device as it will block all your caps. If you already updated it then flash your ROM for your device using image designer tool.

No dear the brilliant Windows Phone Internals works only for X20 or XX20 series ie 520,620.....1520etc
am still waiting for the developer to build it for other devices.
do you know how to take backup of data + apps any other way. When i try backup in settings via wifi it takes some time and 100% complete but it shows error about cannot backup

It isn't happening with me. I used Jio number for a while. I received all phone calls on that.
I need the Stock ROM to download, I installed custom recovery TWRP and deleted OS. Custom ROM is not available yet so please share any ROM for it.

I think this is the reason!
It shows that when I went out to the motorola web site, I get the message, Your device does not qualify for bootloader unlocking.
I can't seem to figure out how to install Malaysk ROM on my Eonon GA8198 head unit.
I have seen a video where step 1 is to activate System Update via Settings -> About this unit -> System Update. But System update is dead... nothing happens when I press it.
The rom fits the system specs.
Any ideas on how I do it?

you would need root unless it is rooted from factory. boot into recovery, or install a custom recovery, then flash your rom per the thread. I would make sure u have a factory rom available if it doesn't work to flash back. I would not attempt a flash without at least root

I would also like to know how it is possible that the option in the hiya phone app for phone spam comes out. Those two things I think are missing, can you help me? Thank you.

Hiya is not present on korean firmware probably i will upload a module to integrate it,to remove on/off sounds simply delete PowerOFF and PowerON media files (see attachment)
Thank you for the answer. I imagine that to eliminate that I must root the device, its rom I think it is not. Regarding the module you are commenting on for hiya, it would be very useful since it avoids many awkward calls by recognizing them as spam and personally I do not take them. Thanks for everything. I'll be attentive to the module. As for rooting it, I'll look at how to do it, I think it was magisk, right?

Root it's not needed: you can boot on twrp recovery and use the integrated file explorer to delete/rename the files :good:

In cscfeature.xml (of your operator/country) find and delete those lines:
<CscFeature_SystemUI_ConfigOverrideDataIcon>LTE</CscFeature_SystemUI_ConfigOverrideDataIcon>
<CscFeature_SystemUI_ConfigMaxRssiLevel>5<CscFeature_SystemUI_ConfigMaxRssiLevel>

the rom is ultra fast and battery friendly but i have problem with translations ( a lot of apps doesnt translate to greek even if i install the language).Also i have problem with volte and wificalling (the omc is correct but both of them are grey)

..i know it...sadly korean firmwares doesn't are fully translated for some languages,but i'm working for a workaround..
Regarding Volte&WiFiCall both are provider's dependent..

The rom is great, I love it in stability, but the battery drains a lot. It lasts approximately 15h for a full charge and just 2h of screen and the rest of the standby, without watching videos or anything. Previously I had rom 10 with the same kernel in theory, [ROM] [10.0] [OneUI 2.0] [G930X / G935X] [BETA / W.I.P] FloydQ V1.0 and it lasted almost the whole day. I do not understand what can be. Have you observed anything? Thank yo
