Hi,
I have a Samsung Galaxy S6 with these characteristics:
- Model G920FXXU6ERC2
- Android 7.0
- Exposed 89
- Build NRD90M.G920FXXU6ERC1
The problem is that since I installed Xposed framework All Bluetooth paired devices automatically disappear after every reboot. So I have to repair everything back again every single day.
This is what I tried already:
1. Fresh clean Odin installed firmware.
2. Root device. Move the custom lib files to their respectable positions (device/system/lib) and (device/system/lib64).
3. Modify build.prop to turn off secure storage (adding “ro.securestorage.support=false” at the end of the file).
4. Install xposed
5. Wipe data
6. Reboot.
However, that did not work. Is there a way to fix this issue?
Thanks.

I don't have this device but, I remembered seeing something on Github regarding this specific device and the same issue...
I found the following (same issue with the same device) reported on Rovo89's XPosed in Github.
https://github.com/rovo89/Xposed/issues/294
There's conversations regarding it there with some fixes provided by Wanam that may/may not work for you but, it's a known issue by Rovo89 that's still open there.
Good Luck!

Thanks for your help but I that's the thread that I have been following to test out possible solutions. However. Nothing mentioned there has worked. I guess if I want to use Xposed modules I will have to get used to pairing my bluetooth devices every day.

Thanks for the link but I already followed all the solutions in that thread and nothing worked. There must be a way around this. I will keep looking.

Ok.. Background.
I have rooted and installed ROMS on several devices over 10 years. I'm no developer, but I'm pretty darn proficient.
I used this last process to root after the update:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/tmo...tmb-g920tuvu4epf1-20160627114318-zip-t3408162
I have read so many threads on this topic, and tried every single process. Here are the two main ones.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/gal...-edge-root-t3072183/post66048178#post66048178 - Original post AND #414 (updated for 6.0.1)
http://forum.xda-developers.com/google-nexus-5/themes-apps/discussion-viper4android-t2543796 - This was the final attempt
I ended up in the final attempt flashing the zip in the last thread, getting everything "working" drivers wise, but NO sound was coming from the device. UGH.
The kicker here I think is the SELinux mode, and although the workaround seems to be the kicker for some, I never got it working.
At this point I am fresh wiping and installing 6.0.1 again until someone with a T-Mobile S6 can give me the steps that worked for them.
Anyone???
Potential Solution
Try flashing the zip from the link provided after you install the viper driver.
It worked for me, but sometimes it won't work when you want it to, but this
is always fixed with a reboot, then it will work until you close the viper app.
Not the best solution but worth it.
(XDA wont let me post links because this is a new account, add ".com" after google and delete all the spaces)

I thought I'd give the Galaxy tab active 2 / T395 a try out as I'm a big fan of the 'S pen' feature.
I have tried all the stand alone apks out there that claim they can root any android device; 'KingRoot, KingoRoot, OneClickRoot, z4mod.z4root, Rootmaster and Framaroot'. I'm sad to report, all of which do absolutely nothing, which is very dissapointing.
The only thing these ROOT apks do, is secretly install random unwanted programs and adverts to install other crap.
The device has been on the market for 7 months now, so can anyone provide any information updates as to when an official ROOT method for the Galaxy Tab Active 2 / T395 may be available by using Odin on the PC with the relevant 'CF-Auto-Root / TWRP' files?
Thanks for reading :good:
After much research and reading. There is a way of rooting the T395. Covered in this section by another member.
Having, myself followed the instructions, I can say my T395 active 2 , is fully rooted using the Magisk Manager method and patching the boot.img taken from the main downloaded firmware from sammobile website.
I guess things have moved on from using CF auto root and TWRP files for earlier android operating systems.
Hope this helps someone else out.
Step by step guide please

For anyone still looking, I found the following most helpful:
1) Get TWRP on your P9
https://forum.xda-developers.com/p9/development/twrp-t3565703
then
2) Get SuperSU on your P9
https://forum.xda-developers.com/p9/development/root-supersu-2-81-emui-5-t3612258
Note: If you use the wrong versions of adb, TWRP or SuperSU, it will fail somewhere along the way. I had encountered not being able to boot into TWRP, or failing to get SuperSU flashed.

Yea i read all that thread previously, what they are saying basically is that System-Mode can't be achieved anymore, i even tried imaging the Boot partition with the SELinux patch after systemless root, reflashing SuperSU with system-mode then rewriting the backed up Boot partition and also had no success, it's really frustrating.

Have you tried asking within one of the Root Guides located on the device dedicated area of the forum for the S8+?
Or even the following Q&A thread that's specific to your device and variants.

With the limited information here, maybe a member with this specific device may be able to provide you with some guidance.

Hey, i found a solution
After days of digging and searching and with no reply on other threads on xda i finally found the solution for anyone wondering how to achieve this,
1- First you have to have any custom rom and the reason for this is to have all stock security patches removed/disabled otherwise your SU binaries will survive root but when executing them after Factory Reset, it will just hang and won't execute
2- Flash your SuperSU with the following option executed in TWRP recovery as pointed out by "ChainFire"
Factory reset protection / survival
With the FRP setting enabled (default on the Pixel, manually enable by doing echo "FRP=true">>/data/.supersu in a root shell for other devices), systemless root will survive a factory reset (/data wipe). Note that any updates to the su binaries installed by Play Store updates to SuperSU will be lost.
3- After that, you can safely wipe your device and the SU binaries will survive without the SuperSU app, thus giving you SU execution without prompt
Thank you @Ibuprophen for the assistance
This is the first time I've needed to do something like this, so I'm a little confused. I've downloaded the latest firmware update for the Tab S8+ and have patched the AP file with Magisk. However, I'm not sure what to do in order to keep all of my data after flashing it. Is there something I need to change to make this happen? We don't have TWRP yet, so I want to be extra careful in doing this, so I won't have to painstakingly reinstall and reconfigure everything all over again.
From my understanding of this post's step 3, sub-step 9:
If your tablet was already rooted, and you're just updating:
Click CSC and select the HOME_CSC_XXX_XXX.tar.md5
Click to collapse
Whereas the first time you root you'd use CSC, which would wipe the device. HOME_CSC doesn't wipe the device. I'd go as far as deleting or moving the normal CSC file so that there's less chance you'll accidentally flash it.
Did you have any luck with it? I had successfully rooted with a magisk patched AP. Then I tried to flash an updated firmware, where I also magisk patched the AP file, and I also flashed the HOME_CSC because I wanted to keep my data. This however has somehow resulted in a soft brick. Reflashing to the previous firmware is also not possible as the bootloader had updated from U1 to U2.
Now it seems like my only way out seems to be to reflash the stock AP. Any idea if this would wipe my internalSD?

Strange. I've updated twice (after already being rooted) with no issue so far (following the steps here closely). Had you disabled (and updated) any Magisk Modules you had installed before updating, in case there were compatibility issues?
As far as I'm aware, flashing any AP file will not wipe your internal storage, and only flashing the (non-home) CSC will wipe your internal storage. The answer to that question might also depend on what is actually the issue that caused your soft brick if it wasn't just some weird fluke.
Edit: @SavXL answered this question better here. (I was mistaken)
Good luck to you, I hope you salvage your information. I still haven't done this, but I plan on using SyncThing to sync my internal storage with my computer once a day when it's on Wi-Fi. I use Google Photos for pictures and video, but just for anything else, I'd like the extra backup. Of course, I use Swift Backup also, although I back up to the cloud only so it doesn't take up any internal storage space, nor abuse my Micro SD card with heavy file writing.

Sorry about that, was just looking for relevant information wherever I could find it.
The only thing I done differently from the guide is that I also flashed the CP file when updating. It displayed PASS. But it just wouldn't boot. I didn't disable any Magisk modules beforehand, didn't occur to me to do that.
I had syncthing setup on my Download folder, and I did make a TitaniumBackup of all of my apps. What I didn't do is backup all of my videos and photos. Had some screen recordings on there that I still needed also.
I was under the impression that flashing a stock rom, or going from root to unrooted would wipe data. It may not, but I'm not willing to test it yet. I also don't really want to wait around for a TWRP release because who knows how long that will take.
The only other thing I've come across that may help is this script that I can flash from recovery. It may need some tweaking to make it compatible with my device and to actually backup the correct partitions. So I'm still trying to figure out if it's a viable option as it's made for a fairly old samsung model originally. This is where I found it.
How to Copy and Delete files in Android Using Recovery Mode?
After rooting my SCH-i589, I did several experiments with my cell phone and several times I faced problems like auto restart due to inadequate or missing

That sucks. When I had SyncThing set up on a different device before, I ended up just syncing the whole root level (and everything below) of internal storage. It was definitely more than I needed to but I knew I didn't only want my Download folder and I didn't have to want to remember to add new folders as my use of the device progressed.

My experience with newer Samsung devices is definitely lacking. This was the first (rootable) Samsung device I've had since my Galaxy S3 although, from memory, a lot has stayed the same, and I've been used to the Google Pixel process for everything for the last 5 1/2 years.
I would definitely go by how @SavXL answered your question regarding what would wipe your device, as they're definitely more experienced with recent Samsung devices than I am.

I suppose I was just going through the firmware and adding every file, didn't realise I could skip that one.
Yeah not a bad idea using SyncThing on the whole root level. I might do that once I eventually regain access to my tablet.
Thanks for your help
