Hello everyone,
First, I'm lost and I really tried searching for answers alone, without success.
I got a P8 Lite 2017 and I installed Paranoid Android 7.1.2 from haki 86
Today I want to update to Oreo but can't find exactly what I need to do, I tried to follow guides but either I can't find the firmware I needed or a specific file...
I got a PRA-LX1 double sim from Europe hi6250 (that's what I know)
I want to move to Oreo because my bluetooth isn't working on that Rom and older haki Roms are all dead links (like his guide on his blog)... :/
If anyone can explain me what I need to do to success the update I would gladely appreciate !!
Thank you !

You need to have both the Bootloader and FRP Unlocked!
Try Firmware finder for huawei:
- download firmware finder on *another android phone* and search for exact phone model (ex : PRA-LX1C432)
- choose the very first firmware (FullOTA-MF without -PV) down the list
*#*#2846579#*#* then go to 2. Veneer Info 1. Version Info and see the exact Manufacture info ex : PRA-L31
Settings / System / About phone and look at the Build number (ex : C432)
-Download @HassanMirza01 TWRP Image. http://www.hassanmirza01.blogspot.it/p/elite-twrp.html
Go and download the right FullOTA firmware (8.0.0.364 in my case, dual SIM PRA-LX1C432 PRAGUE_L31)
http://pro-teammt.ru/firmware-database/?firmware_model=pra-l31c432&firmware_page=0
Click on filelist
-Download update.zip.
-Download update_data_full_public.zip (rename to ''update_data_public'').
-Download update_full_PRA-L31_hw_eu.zip (rename to ''update_all_hw'').
pra-l11_hw_eu.zip if you are on a single SIM device
-Download HuRUpdater from https://forum.xda-developers.com/honor-9/development/tool-flash-official-firmware-recovery-t3769279.
Put them (all 4 zip files) on a new folder called Oreo in external_sd.
1 : Flash Twrp from bootloader.
2 : Boot into twrp, click install, select HuRUpdater.zip.
3 : Reboot.
4 : Done.

Thanks, you gave me a lot of useful info. However, I got a problem: *#*#2846579#*#* does nothing and in the info in build number I got: "pa_hi6250-userdebug 7.1.2 NZH54D 1f3ea46c19", I think it's due to the fact that I flash that rom from haki 86... What should I do to have the exact model and build number now that other roms are dead links for now?

No, you have unlocked bootloader..
If you can boot in TWRP then you just have to copy these files to external_sd, make new folder "Oreo" and put all 4 zip files inside.
PRA-LX1C432B366 (8.0.0.366)
-Download update.zip.

https://drive.google.com/open?id=1mzTFVqW6lfs-QN4ttYH70rDLdPJfqD6R
run this command to flash TWRP
fastboot flash recovery_ramdisk recovery_1105.img

Good info to know. I was planning to go back to stock EMUI5 from a RR Nougat custom rom.
I've been hesitating which PRA-LX1 EMUI5 to use (PRA-L11 or PRA-L31) and this made it clear for me to decide.
Flashed an oeminfo PRA-LX1 C432 provided by @AltairFR
Now I'll proceed to install a PRA-L31 C432 EMUI5 through dload method.

**UPDATE RESOLVED**
For anyone who searches and has same problems.
I needed an sdcard to get the files onto the phone.
To recap - it was stuck in boot, TWRP would load and stated no OS installed.
1. In rooting guide as per Here download file linked in the guide and unzip.
2. From folder 3 of that zip file there is a folder called data containing stock.img - place this onto sdcard.
3. Then go to this thread and download the files as hosted on mega.nz - over 2 gig.
4. Extract that zip to the sd card so that on the card is a folder called 'dload'
5. To confirm, the dload folder should have update.app and 2 folders called dt and hw
6. Put sdcard into phone.
7 .Boot into TWRP
8. Goto install, select storage, select your sdcard then select stock.img, agree to install, ignore message about no os.
9.Once that has installed my phone just restarted, EMUI came up, read the dload folder automatically and ran.
Then once phone started it found a newer update and installed that.
Phone is now working, unrooted and bootloader is locked again.
All this was found on the XDA site, just across various posts.
Thanks again to all.
********ORIGINAL BELOW********
Hi all.
Please help, I'm a ****!
I unlocked bootloader with Huawi code from thier website.
Then I installed TWRP
Which in turn installed SuperSU
All rooted, jobs a fish. as per - This one and This thread.
Decided I dont need root anymore.
Tried to reset and wipe the phone.
Went into TWRP did a factory reset wipe.
Then went into TWRP again and did advanced wipe, and selected everything.
(yes yes i know, what a tit)
So after that i get the 'this phones is unsecured' message, press up vol 3 seconds, press power button to conti, wait 5 seconds etc.
so I wait, and it sticks on 'Your device is booting'
Restart, can get into stock recovery and hisuit will see the phone and try to restore it but fails and say my device is not supported??
Can get into erecovery and connected to wifi to try and update but does not find anything to download.
can get into twrp.
I have downloaded a stock rom as per -- This ROM
Perhaps this is not the correct ROM, but then how do i find out the correct ROM needed now I can not access phone details?
Forced that onto SD card but TWRP will not run it and says it is corrupt.
I can see it with ADB and device manager so my question really is....HELP??
How can i get just stock rom back onto it and then un-root and re-lock the bootloader?
Cheers in advanced.

you can find the model (for me it's vns-l31) on the back of the phone, just find the corresponding oeminfo file and the update file. flash the oeminfo file, put the update file from the rom zip in the dload folder and reboot using the 3 button combo till it says something about installing update
here's a list of update files: https://forum.xda-developers.com/hu...huawei-p9-lite-firmware-compilations-t3517124
and here you can find the oeminfo files, there's a google drive link under oemfiles, at least for the vns-l21, 22 and 31: https://forum.xda-developers.com/hu...nt/europe-vns-l31-toolkit-bootloader-t3432873

Hi, thanks for the reply.
All of those links refer to the P9 Lite - is this the same internals and software as the normal P9?
On the back of my phone it has - Model- EVA - L09 FCC ID: QISEVA-LO9 - IC: 6369A-EVALO9
I do not see how this relates to specific oeminfo file?
Lasatly, can you provide details on how to flash the oeminfo file to device and do you mean the following for the update:
So in rom sip there is a update.app file - extract this to sdcard in a new folder called dload? then install that via twrp?
Cheers

first of all, no, p9 is a different phone, but you posted on the p9 lite forum. i'd suggest posting this question on the p9 forum.
i don't know exactly how it works for the p9, but it shouldn't be much different.
for the rom zip: inside that zip there's an update.app file, that file should indeed be put in a new folder called dload, but it won't be installed through twrp.
on the p9 lite it works like this: you flash the oemfile through twrp, and after that push and hold both volume buttons and the powerbutton till the phone reboots and shows an update progress screen, then you can release the buttons. now the update file will be installed. but then again, i don't know the procedure for the p9 so be sure to post your question on the correct forum.
edit: i've taken a look on that link to the stock rom you tried installing, it's a zip file that contains the dload folder, just put that folder on the root of your sdcard. do make sure it's the correct version.
you will have to flash the stock recovery for your phone however, and if the p9 works the same way as the p9 lite you should find an oeminfo file and flash that with twrp.
So sorry, I didn't realise I was in the lite forum!
I'll ask a mod to move, sorry and thanks for you help.

here's a link to the oeminfo for eva -l9: https://forum.xda-developers.com/p9/development/c432-oeminfo-flash-twrp-t3384903 i think that one should be flashed in twrp, and after that you can use the 3 button combo

Yureka 2 :NO OS installed .Do you want to reboot ? Clicked reboot.Mobile hangs
Hi,
I tried to install Lineage OS 15.1 custom ROM using TWRP recovery in my Yureka 2 YU5551. I wiped out the data before flashing. During flashing I faced Error 7 and unable to install custom ROM.Twrp asked this- NO OS installed. Do you want to reboot? I Clicked reboot and my mobile not even booted properly. Still hangs. I tried to open recovery mode using the power button and volume up and volume down button. I am unable to go to recovery mode. When I connect my mobile to my laptop its not recognizing as the phone is not restarting.
Can someone plz help me how to install an OS and start my phone. Thanks in advance.

Hi!
I see the large number of requests concerning the roolback of a custom rom to a official and untouched EMUI 4, i decide to create this thread.
After follow that methode, you able to rest on official EMUI and get the new update automatically on OTA (directly on your phone) OR try to install custom rom with a clear and good base version.
1. You ave access on TWRP?
-If not, pleas unlock your bootloader (again) and flash TWRP recovery for you actual version (marshmallow or nougat).
-perform a full wipe and restore your partitions on "ext4" format, shutdown phone.
2. Get a "oem_info.zip" for your model phone (dont extract the .zip) and push it on your internal or external sd.
-This archive contain cust and oem info for patched your phone at the correct manufacture information.
-I have a link for VNS-L31 (c432, but is not very important) HERE LINK
-If you have other model (VNS-L31) pleas find a correct patch for you (VNS-L21, ...).
3. Find and download a EMUI marshmallow official full-ota update.
-for a VNS-L31 i advice choice a VNS-L31C432B160 full-ota update.
4. Unpack your update archive.
5. Create "dload" folder on your internal or external sd and put it UPDATE.APP
6. Reboot phone on TWRP recovery and flash "oem_info.zip"
7. Use dload methode for update (hold 3 buttons phone and dont release before "dload screen" appears)
8. Unlock your bootloader again (important!) And make a factory reset
9. Your phone reboot (please wait ) and done!
Ok now you are on official version, please update on setting menu >> update and choice, rest on official or flash a custom rom..
P9 lite brick precision:
In my personal experience the "p9 lite" is very easy to flash, mod or other tips and the risk of HARD brick is very very tiny.
If you see this page and your phone bootloop, relax, keep calm at 99,999% you have a little and ridiculous brick
Good luck and flash happy!

You succeeded to enter on fastboot mode? Flash recovery?
If you follow the steps 1-5 is impossible to fail the 6 point..
You have acces on fastboot mode or not?..

I did update the post... 3 hours ago I wasn't able to enter TWRP, some way I did managed, now I can enter fastboot, I did flash custOEM (sorry I don't remember exactly the name but it's the one of your post) .zip file. Now I can't do dload method, stuck on huawei logo. If I try to go to recovery, I got red message "phone fail validation"...
I know, I post on both but I was trying to do everything...
just tried... validation red error message won't let me go to TWRP now...
You have a VNS-L31C432?
Your phone does not enter at dload mode?
Wipe all partitions an retry flash a oeminfo for your model phone (if not C432 you need right oeminfo).

How can I wipe all partitions if stuck in Huawei logo? Is there a way to do everything from adb command line? (I'm using Mac and cannot use all the tools I've found here XDA neither hiSuite which is basically a backup photo/video only the Mac version).
Thank for helping, really appreciate
To answer your question in the other thread, yes bootloader is unlocked and I am on C432.
What's your rom have before the bootloop?
You have the right version of TWRP for your rom?
If you have a MM version Don't flash a TWRP for N.
Send me a link to TWRP version used (thread forum)

Before the bootloop I was on L31C900 (on the phone) but I did actually flashed C432B160 because I did rollback. TWRP used I've found in the other post where there's a OEMfile to flash (but for this I need to double check because I did look so many pages which I am not 100% sure.
I not have experience on other model that C435.
But i suggest to find a oeminfo for your variant (C900?)
For TWRP you need flash a version for MarshMallow HERE
Flash it and pas return here (fastboot flash return and first enter to new recovery)
Hi, found Windows emulator for MacOs so I extract from update.app boot.img and flash.
I did format all partitions as told using a proper twrp this time.
What's next step, system says NO OS INSTALLED?

Flash partitions on .img files is not needed.
Just find a corect oeminfo for your model phone.
Flash it on TWRP recovery.
Use dload methode to update on basical version (MarshMallow b160).
After that, unlock bootloader again and make a factory reset.
Switch on your phone (the first boot make long time).
Update on last emui on OTA.
Done!
After that you able to install a custom rom.

IT won't turn off so been always on it won't keep the charge... Writing so because apparently it won't go to download mode (dload) if plugged in. On the other way if I unplugged from power it won't even start. Shall I force to download mode using console ADB or FASTBOOT? I had looked but can't find anything...

Correct. Because I'm not able to switch it off it won't keep the charge. When discharged, the minute I do plug on charge it wakes up... That's the loop...
My main question is: does a command exist to enter download mode using terminal?

No abd command to enter dload mode..
Try flash a update.zip with twrp (not guaranted)
After that unlock bootloader again and make factory reset.

Hi all
requirement : honor 9 lite with LLD-L31 8.0.0.x(C432), bootloader unlocked.
everyone how flash : you ar developer & tester on your phone ! you carry the responsibility !
i am use pur custom-rom, no xposed framwork ...
can you go with phone in bootloader-mode ?
by me : phone off / usb-wire out of phone / press and hold "vol-down" and put usb-wire in phone. start phone in bootloader : bingo!
you see on bootloader-screen "unlock" & "unlock" in red (by me) the phone is ready to flash
then extract from update.app "recovery_ramdis.img & header" and "system.img & header"
put this 4 files in adb-folder / Windows: open command and cd.. to this folder / on linux open terminal and cd.. to the folder
on my linux-pc i am this files in /home/username/adb. if i start terminal i am automatically in my home-folder and write only "cd adb". this is short-way
fastboot devices (check is phone connected)
if phone connected : fastboot flash recovery_ramdisk recovery_ramdisk.img (extracted out update.app)
next fastboot flash system.img (extracted from update.app)
if this ended : you have customOS on phone
next fastboot erase userdata (this doing what you reed : erase! userdata)
next press and hold "vol-up" and power, phone vibrate and you see Huawei-boot: release power, you see pre-boot messages: release "vol-up", phone boot in erecovery
in erecovery wipe cache and factory-reset . this mace low-level format user_data 0...100%. now is userdate clear and fresh formated. reboot
phone boot as a new phone ! now config, install apps ...
if your phone boot to bootloader and bootloader is unlocked: you can do this how match you need
i test developer-rom's from other phones (oreo) and have this 4..5x doing and it's working way. stony way, hard way - but is working. My phone run.
i hope this is helpful
i hope you think on this: by now is no twrp with working backup & recovery available and i found by now not working developer-rom for this phone. i search continue.
you can on this way only restore the customOS - nothing else. no userdata.
AND FLASH NEVER OTHER as "recovery and/or system". ALL OTHER can brick your phone
excuse my writing "i am use pur custom-rom". i mean "stock-rom" : original manufacturer rom
Just for Info
This is Tread for "Here is the Update.App LLD-L31 8.0.0.127(432)FULL"

Please make new thread "how to repair bootloop"

@Pyro.ted
that's a good idea. i not use Xposed. you have custom-recovery and -system and can always reflash - no risk !
i hope for "twrp full function". then we have backup from all and can "test - not working - restore" and "no-risk & full-fun"
... don't work i'v try with arm & arm64 sorry
can i install it in my lld l10?
@leon21062000
lld-l31 = european version.
lld-l10 = ? (country) version.
I do not think so. It can work - but not either, i can not gauge the risk. I mean, let it be better

Hi.Same issue. Does reflash stock recover wipe all my datas ?
How to use HuruUpdater as ther current TWRP does not allow to access on local files (no decryption).
THanks

here's the details
- Unlock bootloader from Huawei : http://emui.huawei.com/en/plugin/unlock/index
- (It's still possible to unlock the bootloader. Just send an email to your local support or tweet them (HuaweiUK). They'll ask you for some info and send you the unlock code. Took me two days to get the code)
- TWRP : https://forum.xda-developers.com/hua...2-1-0-t3779400
- hurupdater_0.3.zip https://forum.xda-developers.com/hon...overy-t3769279 also works perfectly for P20 Pro
Magisk file (if you want to get rooted) https://******************/Magisk/Magisk-v16.0.zip
Now, get patient, an old man did it!
In future direct links for our CLT-L29 european(C432)..
http://pro-teammt.ru/firmware-databa...irmware_page=0
Click on FullOTA-MF (only!) and click on filelist I had to click several times on filelist to get the links to the 3.zip files needed (thinks to Tecalote for his patience!)
So, the difficult part was to rename the.zip files( I went to #32, page 4 and renamed exactly like it was : Download firmware files (for official firmware use Huawei Firmware Finder).
1. Put files you want to flash in a seperate folder on sdcard.
Supported zip files to flash are (name must match):
o update.zip (use FullOTA file)
o update_full_hw.zip
o update_data_full_public.zip
2. Optional: Put recovery.img (rename your TWRP downloaded "recovery_ramdisk twrp_clt_0.1.img") in same folder if you want to keep custom recovery.
3. Put HuRUpdater zip in same folder. Example:
4. Select only HuRUpdater to flash in custom recovery.
5. Follow instructions on screen. Flashing can take multiple minutes.
Then I followed exactly step by step.
It didn’t work and I had error messages flashing with hurupdater_0.3.zip:
No update_data_public.zip found in /sdcard/”name of your folder”
No update_all_hw.zip in /sdcard/”name of your folder”
As you can see the name of the .zip files did’nt match #32.
I renamed exactly as asked to get rid of the error messages, and BINGO!

Update CLT-L29 8.1.0.128(C432) with TWRP already installed
Hello,
Many thanks to all of your for your kind support , so I intend to create a summary of what I did, hoping it could help others !
I had already unlock previsouly my Bootloader (of course, else this topic would not exist) via Unlock bootloader from Huawei :https://emui.huawei.com/en/unlock_detail
I already had TWRP and Magisk installed and wanted to get the latest official firmware for my P20-PRO-CLT-L29(C432) - > CLT-L29 8.1.0.128(C432).
When intending to update (from my phone), it could not work (I allways boot back to TWRP), upgrade failed.

Start with : Do your Backup !
Removed then all security (screen unlock in developper mode =0) , no pin, no pattern, no password, no fingerprint, no faceunlock
Download the following set of files (that I've uploaded and ready to use) : https://mega.nz/#F!pEpRDB7R!pmPDjlqgtdHTs39gyLdJhg
(nota : my upload is quite slow, so please wait some hours before it is available)
It contains : HuRUpdater_0.3.zip, Magisk-v16.4-Beta.zip, twrp_clt_0.1.img, recovery.img
, update.zip, update_all_hw.zip, update_data_public.zip
- On your phone create a folder including all files from the package above.
- Boot in TWRP
- Install : HuRUpdater zip from the folder where you had put all files (no issue with decryption, at least in my case)
Nota : I had almost an heart attack during installation as it did a reference to CLT-09... not CLT-29 but it works and this despite some strange error messages.
When achieved : wipe/cache dalvik.
Phone will reboot and optimize the apps.
In my case, I lost my root access and TWRP, so I've done it again, but normally it was supposed to stay when using HurUpdater
Install TWRP (again if needed) :
- Start your device in fastboot mode
- Install the recovery using the following command : fastboot flash recovery_ramdisk twrp_clt_0.1.img
Restart with this command: fastboot reboot
Important : As soon as you execute the restart command, remove the USB cable and keep pressing Volume UP, so the device will boot to TWRP. This is to avoid that the device boot to OS,overwritting TWRP recovery.
Reboot again in recovery
(re)Install : Magisk-v16.4-Beta.zip
Have fun,
JPh

THANK YOU! THIS WORKED SO PERFECTLY!
Until now, I tried the following:
Back up my data and apps to SD card with EMUI Backup App
Download OTA update (it first downloads the incremental ~100-200MB update) and click install
This doesn't work of course - TWRP tries to execute the update command but dies with error messages
Reboot, try downloading/installing updates again, the downloader then downloads the -FULL update
Extract recovery.img from update.zip>update.app
Flash stock recovery over TWRP
Initiate update again from Update App (System Settings)
Update runs smoothly, but bootloader is locked again afterwards
Restore from backup, flash TWRP again, flash SuperSU again
BUT THIS IS MARVELOUS! I will only lose SuperSU and Xposed, and given that HuRUpdater is provided with the correct filenames including TWRP renamed to recovery.img, I will just have to install SuperSU and Xposed again after updating the firmware.
It worked flawlessly with the stock firmware files from update.hicloud.com, and you'll usually find all the links a few hours after the release somewhere on the internet.

I have a few questions regarding this method to update :
Do I need to make a new backup using twrp after this update since the system files changed due to the update? (correct if i'm wrong i'm a previous iphone owner this my first android device)
Is the any method to force update 8.0 even it will erase every thing and after that just flash twrp and restore backup (i think all the methods mentioned are complicated for me)

Hi, I have the same problem but with my Huawei P10Lite WAS L1XA with firmware oreo installed from the phone and on reboot enters twrp mode.
Can I ask you to look for the files for my model?
(I spent three hours looking for those files but I could not find anything) ...
Hey guys.
I was on EMUI 9.1.0.166(C675) which is the May 2020 security update and I wanted to unlock my bootloader which is only possible if you are on EMUI 8 with a security patch of June 2018 or below. There was no option in HiSuite to downgrade as well. I came across many users not able to find the right firmware to flash for their device. So I made this guide to help them.
These are the details of my device before downgrading
Model Number: LLD-AL10
EMUI Version: 9.1.0.166(C675E6R1P4)
These are the firmware I flashed in order to reach the desired version in order to unlock the bootloader.
1. EMUI 9.1.0.112(C675E4R1P4T8) https://androidhost.ru/1lau
This firmware should be flashed via dload method.
2. After successfully flashing this. You can connect your device to HiSuite and then you'll get an option to switch to EMUI 8.0.
3. Then flash EMUI 8.0.0.194 via dload method again https://androidhost.ru/29Fa
4. Finally flash this firmware version via dload. Click here
P.S You can maybe skip step 3 and directly flash the firmware in Step 4. I don't know if it'll work or not.
After flashing the 4th firmware, your device may bootloop and go to erecovery. This is completely fine. If it goes into erecovery just wipe the data/factory reset and you're good to go!
Hope this will help you guys!

I don't know but you can try! It's perfectly safe because even if the firmware is not compatible it will just say update failed. Nothing will happen to the device.

The dload folder will already be in the zip file downloaded. Just add it to the root of sd card and update. I didn't use the volume button method, I used the manual software update method by dialing *#*#2846579#*#*

Hi, Instructions are not clear. Can you please provide excat directory to save the files on memory card?
I have tried placing the zip file on memory card. It says 'No upgrade file'. I've extracted and placed the dload folder in memory card. Then it says 'update failed'. No matter how hard I try, I'm not able to apply the update on step 1.
Hello. I have been following your guide on unlocking honor 9 lite bootloader. I reached till step 3 successfully. The firmware in step 4 (google drive link) is missing. I want to unlock my honor 9 lite and your guide seems to be quite helpful! Hope you will correct the drive link. Thankyou!
Hey majid, can you tell me which file do i need to copy to the root directory of the sd card as there are many folders in the dload folder in the rom you provided.
I am confused.
1. As i extracted the zip there are 1 folders namely release doc and software
2. In software there is dload folder and in that there are other 2 folders namely LLD L22A and LLD L22C and an update zip...
What is the next step .. kindly reply.
Hello, anyone have the 4. link (google drive link is down) ?
Thanks
