I use adhell 3 and I try to find out wich services and receivers are safe to disable.
There is any list for the note 8 or someone can recommend what should we disable?
Thanks.

Install xposed framework and wanam xposed. It will give you so much control over customization and features.

I second this notion, also while you have Xposed grad "App Settings" if you're like me, and wondering why you see just as much content in most apps on this HUGE screen as you do on any 4.5-5in phone.
Root Explorer is a very useful app

What DPI are you using in App Setttings?
Squuiid said:
Thank you both for your replies, appreciate your help!
You're right, all seems fine now that I soft reset via software.
Does anybody know the technicalities of why this happens?
What is the difference between using the pen to reset and using software.
What exactly is different?
(I'm now using XCPUScalar to soft reset BTW)

He didn't ask why he should root. He asked for specific apps & services that are safe to disable.

Ya, i think some people confuse the English language. I'm sure he has or had plenty of reason to root but he's asking a basic question on what apps to freeze, or what bloat can he uninstall. Don't hate on him cause he did not trip his Knox counter and you did! Lol J/k guys! My Knox counter is tripped too! But I prefer an unlocked bootloader myself...
For adaway and greenify. I'm just asking which apps or services are safe to disable.

I Gennify any app that has "Gcm" next to it that I don't want push notifications for. For example, don't hibernate espn if you want espn to push your teams score or something.

For the most part Yes. I just selected the option to disable all bloatware and then customized. For the first yesterday since getting the phone I didn't have to charge it at work.
Is the one-click bloat removal any good? I've been using Titanium Backup and just freezing/removing apps...

Too bad this requires for the device to be rooted
Or you can just download get assistant app from playstore and you get it in one click
None of this is necessary.
Just make sure you have the most up to date Google and Play Services apps, clear data and cache for Google app, reboot. Hold home button to enable.

After updating your apps, go to settings, scroll down to "Personal" section. Select Google at the bottom of that section. Scroll all the way down and select Search. In Search select "Enable Google Assistant." Select "continue" and then "Get Started". After that, you should be able to access Google Assistant. Of note, I am using the latest beta versions of Google Search and Play Services.
Does someone have a list of Sprint's bloat ware, mainly ones that don't use the words Sprint in the app or process that I might have missed from disabling?

anything labeled sprint you can long press on and uninstall, or within apps. if it doesn't have an uninstall option, ignore it.

Hi, thanks. I'd already on the same day of receiving the Sprint bloatware deleted all the apps that I could via uninstall. However, I'd like to know which other apps can be safely disabled, and more importantly are there any services or packages that don't use the words "Sprint" that may not be immediately visible to disable.

look in apps, do you see anything called sprint app pack or appcloud NOT SAMSUNG CLOUD. do you see appstack in apps. rid app pack or appstack. thats a good point to relax after that. do not DISABLE any other sprint app that only has disable or enable. also lookout can be disabled along with fb instagram and messenger. NOT the message app.
These are all packages and process with the word Sprint in them. Anything that doesn't have the word Sprint in them that I should be looking for.? I did see lookout bloat which I've already disabled.
