Hey!
I have found a way to activate VoLTE and VoWiFi for OnePlus 3/3T, 5/5T, 6 and 6T!
Please follow this Guide to Activate it to your Phone!

Greetings,

I'd like to let you know that this method also worked for me in Czech Republic for Vodafone. This guide probably works for most of the carriers in EU. Thanks!
Diese Methode hat auch in Tschechien funktioniert, ich kann nicht VoWiFi benutzen aber VoLTE funktioniert super. Wahrscheinlich funktioniert dieses Guide für alle Netzbetreiber in EU.
gonna try at ukrainian Vodafone.... when they will launch Volte
Worked. Germany and o2.
Why not sharing here, too?
Read something about EFS? Will it survuve, are there some modifications?
Thanks in advance.

It survives modem flashes and all. I'd write the whole procedure here but I'd need @jamal2367 permission to do so.
It worked! It woooorked
Many many endless thanks, Jamal!
Hello,
tried here in belgium, when i click on "activate" it does nothing and when i click on start, nothing too.. Is there a validation message at the end of the procedure or not? thx
Working with Vodafone Portugal! Can't test a call just yet, I don't know anyone with a VoLTE device, but the icon appears.
From what I read on the forum, it's just the Magisk module for root users or the toolkit procedure for the ones without.
It does help with some carriers, but not everywhere =(
Thanks anyway!

Danke! I couldn't find it because Google Translate breaks everything.
Btw, could you modify your phone? I'm on step 7, but when I select my device, it gives me an error: "Failed to select interface with provided ID, please make sure interface still exist".
I did install the drivers and the QPST 2.7.420, did the *#801# and "Serial" + "Full-port switch" and I also tried removing and adding the port inside QPST Configuration and running QPST Software Download as Administrator.
The device is also shown under Ports in Device Manager (Windows 10).
Nothing worked...
Thanks!

Had the same issue, I rebooted my PC and that worked
/* Disclaimer */
This is at your own risk.
I am not responsible for broken phones, lost IMEI numbers, damaged EFS partition, whatever.
First make a backup of the EFS partition via TWRP or ADB, and back it up to a safe place on your computer!
WARNING: The EFS partition contains unique data for your device that is necessary for the phone function of your device. If you lose them, no one can help you out. So make a backup. If something goes wrong, you can restore the backup and you will be back to its original state.
2. you go to your computer and install both.
Qualcomm QPST Diag x64 driver
QPST_2.7.420
Now connect your mobile phone to your computer via a "USB cable".
4. opens the phone app and enter this code *#801#.
Now a new menu appears and switches "Serial" and "Full-port switch" on.
Now you start the program: "QPST Software Download" and connect it to your device.
Go to the "MCFG_PDC" tab at the top and select your device under "Device:".
Right-click on "Oversea-Commercial_DS" and select "Sub0" and "Sub1" under "Deactivate".
Now click on "Oversea-Commercial_DS" again and click on "Remove" on the right.
Now restart the program and go to the tab "MCFG_PDC" and under "Device:" select your device again.
Now select "Telefonica_UK_Commercial", right click and select "SetSelectedConfig" "Sub0" and "Sub1".
12. click on "Telefonica_UK_Commercial" then right click on "Activate" and then on "Start" below
13. after you have done everything, restart the device!
After a successful restart, the "VoLTE or VoWiFi logo" should appear in the expanded status bar.
No wonder why you dial "Telefonica_UK_Commercial", works great in Germany with all providers!
Translated with www.DeepL.com/Translator
I wonder if this has the potential to fix the 3G issues as well, as we're effectively changing the modem's default profile it seems.

It should be a long string of characters, IIRC. The name is unique to every device afaik.
Did someone tried this with French network ?
Is there any way to enable this on aosp rom?

I don't think so. Most AOSP rom's are missing some APN's. Ask the Dev if he implements all Google AOSP APN's.

Hi all
I did not receive the OTA so I decided to manually update my nexus s (I9020XXK1)
Unfortunately the navigation works only on wi-fi. Although the data navigation is turned on the mobile does not download email etc.
I thought it was a problem with widgetsoid and I disinstalled it but the problem is still there.
I also tried to update the APN via "APN Italiani" but the programs shows the generic message that "he encountered an error"
My question: do you have any idea how to work it out? and also: is there a program similar to widgetsoid for a dummy (me)?
thanks a lot

just flash a customer rom like aosp + (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1397358) -> all works
it would be even worst! I already tried but I'm a dummy and couldn't do it
at home I have a mac and could not get a propor procedure. now (at work) I have a pc but no administrator rights.
if there is an easy way to do it then I will give it a try but I would need a "guide for dummies"

I'm receiving the below error when connecting my Mini 2 to my PC:
'This device is not supported by Kies 2.0.'
This is obviously not the case. I have tried to re-install Kies many times. Not a driver error as I can use it like an external drive in Windows Explorer.
mobile: Galaxy Mini 2 (S6500D), stock rom, usb debugging enabled (tried with disabled as well)
pc: Windows 8 Enterprise (does not need Media Feature Pack)
Kies: v2.5.2.13021_10
I have already checked tonns of forums but no solution found so far.
Thank you in advance for your ideas.

Tried. Same issue.
it's because CSC. i don't know a english post of how to solve this, but here i put a spanish tutorial translated:
Megatutorial: Change CSC (Country Specific Code)
Hello friends, I bring you good news, is on the CSC. It is very important because Megatutorial.
The first thing I have to say is, when the Stock Rom flashearon and went to Kies, noted that they came this message: "The device does not support software upgrade of Kies travez" I asked Samsung about it and they said it is a program error, but they were wrong.
Navigating today, I discovered that when you leave that message, you can never upgrade by Kies, but today, I found the solution. The just try, and I have regained the ability to upgrade by Kies.
What is CSC?
The CSC, for its acronym in English (Country Specific Code) refers to code each terminal, belongs to this region, to have one that does not correspond to our phone, it automatically stops inactualizable.
Navigating discovered how to change it, I'll put it in red to make it attractive.
procedure:
1. - First dial * # 272 * (not dial anything else, not pressed the call button)
2. - Following this put your IMEI (You can see it by dialing * # 06 #) and finally I put #
3. - I stay like this: * # 272 * 53259623505748 #
4. - Once done will get a menu with several CSC choosing whichever of Spain or location. You can search the Internet for the CSC. (Mine was PHE), this can also be seen when viewing the Stock ROM file includes code.
5. - They give the Install button, and the phone will restart, but when that happens, it automatically makes a Wipe will erase all applications.
NOTE: We agree that to flash the Stock Rom, starts in another language, then change it in-law, beginning in SPANISH. So if it works and check Kies, and I no longer went out that Messaging
1. - First dial * # 272 * (not dial anything else, not pressed the call button)

Q&A for [ROM] HUAWEI Ascend W1-U00 | v1.00
Some developers prefer that questions remain separate from their main development thread to help keep things organized. Placing your question within this thread will increase its chances of being answered by a member of the community or by the developer. Thanks for understanding and for helping to keep XDA neat and tidy!

It seems that in this video it's described, how the sdcard-problem can be permanently solved, so that we don't have to put the card out and in after a shutdown. Is this right?
Can this be implemented in the rom?
I don't understand the steps to do in the video. I can only recognize that i has something to do with visual studio. Can someone describe it more detailed?

It will be possible to install the rom from Osx or linux?
Registry tweaks from russian forum (4pda)
Here, guys, tweaks for our HUAWEI W1.
Go to \Windows\Packages\RegistryFiles and place OEMSettings.reg here.
First bootup will be ~2 minites.
Tweak list:
-Camera sound on/off in sound settings;
-Wi-Fi connection sound on/off;
-3g/Wi-Fi arrows in status bar switched on;
-Activated PfD (don't install program);
-Jailbreak(interop unlock,capabilities unlock)
-Can be installed hacked appx's from wp-seven
-SDK registered
-Search button opens google
-Any app can be placed to camera's button (e.g. OneShot)
-Now you have Nokia Lumia 920 (doesn't really work).
To make your phone 'NL920', you must mount in regedit 'SYSTEM' and install 2nd (zip). After that, you can easily install all Nokia Exclusives via SysApp Pusher (also, more apps in store!).
I think you've got a typo in the OEMSettings.reg file (inside the same-named archive), on one of the tweaks that's supposed to give file system via USB:
Code:
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\controlset001\services\MtpSvn]
should be
Code:
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\controlset001\services\MtpSvc]
unless it's supposed to control the Media Transfer Protocol Subversion
Will this work with Huawei Ascend W1-U00 from Globe PH plan?
Hi.
My phone was given to me by my mother who received it with her Globe (a Philippine mobile network service provider) postpaid plan (which unusually uses prepaid services). I've been frustrated with this phone's storage becoming full very easily even though I only have very few apps (except for Spider-Man Unlimited which downloaded a 200-MB DLC) installed and I don't put any files in the phone storage. Since Huawei seemingly abandoned their Windows phones, there's no hope of us getting any update so we're stuck with the stock WP8 update 1. Will this custom ROM work with this particular W1-U00? Does anyone know where I can get a stock ROM for this particular phone?

Problems with Flashing
Hello!
At First thanks for the good work. I will donate it, if i getting it work for me.
I got some Problems with flashing.
1) With Flash Tool:
Diag Setting is on, Phone is resetted and with the Flashtool i get the "Firmware Handshake Fail"-Error.
2) With QPST i can get into Download Mode (Qualcomm ... 9008) but then it shows me a "Cookie not received"-Error.
I tried the Flashtool in Downloadmode but that doesnt recognize my device.
My PC-Config:
Windows 7 Ultimate 64-Bit
Intel i5 Notebook
My Handy-FW:
Huawei W1-U00 Simlock Free
OS Version: 8.10.14203.306 Developer Preview
Thank you very much!
Edit:
I got the Problem. It only works for me without Diag Settings and only with QPST.
The folder from the Repair Bootloader was: W1-U00 Repair bootloader/flashing/
and i only copied the "flashing" folder. Now no "Cookie"-Error.
Hope this helps someone....
Step 2 error
I finish step 1. Flash custom ROM with QPST (Windows 8.1 x64).
Phone in mass-storage mode (all disk available).
Qualcomm MMC Storage USB Device present in Device manager.

Error 109 on WP8CRUU.exe
Does v1.10 require v1.00 flashed first? I'm getting an error 109 (Cannot open device Qualcomm MMC Storage USB Device) when I run WP8CRUU.exe. My phone's (W1-U00) already in mass storage mode.
Now, I'm getting an error 5 (Cannot open device Qualcomm MMC Storage USB Device).
Can anyone please help me with this? I was able to flash the ROM with mass storage mode capability and set my phone to mass storage mode. Now, I can't flash the custom ROM because of this error. I don't think I missed anything. I'm running this on a Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit. I didn't install MS Visual Studio 2013 since it requires Windows 8.1. I did install the Qualcomm USB drivers, simpleio, and QPST. I have MS Visual C++ 2005, 2008, and 2012 (all 32-bit) installed.
Arhy's workaround didn't work for me, by the way.

As far as is can see you just can backup fotos, messages, and IE-settings.

Is there another way to get at least my contacts from WP8 to WP8.1?
An additional question:
Is it possible to get back to WP8 after flashing the WP8.1 rom?

[GUIDE] Enable VoLTE + VoWiFi for German and other EU carriers on the Oneplus 6T running LineageOS 17.1
Requirements:
- Phone must be rooted
- A computer running Windows to connect your phone with (Also tested Windows 7 running in Virtualbox)
- Qualcomm USB Driver (Downloadlink)
- Qualcomm PST Tool (Downloadlink)
- ADB
IMPORTANT: This can break your phone! Make a backup of your EFS Partition! This can be done with TRWP.
1)
Download and install Qualcomm USB Driver and PST Tool on your computer. Make sure, you have the adb tool as well.
2)
On your phone activate the hidden developer settings:
Settings -> About -> Build-Number (press it multiple times)
then
Settings -> System -> Devloperoptions
Activate:
Android-Debugging
Local Shell
Connect your phone to your computer.
3)
Open a shell on your computer and type:
Code:
adb shell
Watch your phone to accept the incoming connection from your computer.
Type:
Code:
su
and watch your phone again to accept root access.
Activate the Diagnostic Mode by typing:
Code:
setprop sys.usb.config diag,serial_cdev,serial_tty,rmnet_ipa,mass_storage,adb
Your phone will disconnect from adb, but thats ok.
4)
On your computer open "PDC" from the installed QPST application as admin.
In the device list, select your phone.
In the upcoming list look for "Oversea-Commercial_DS", right click it and deactivate Sub0 and Sub1
Click "Oversea-Commercial_DS" again and press the Remove button.
Close the PDC Tool and open it again.
Select your phone again
Look for Telefonica_UK_Commercial, right click and SetSelectedConfig for both Sub0 and Sub1
Click on Telefonica_UK_Commercial again and click the Activate button
Close the application
5)
Unplug your phone and reboot it.
Make sure you have activated VoLTE/VoWiFI in your settings.
6)
No VoLTE/VoWIFI icon is shown in the status bar. You can check the IMS status as followed:
Open the dialer and enter the code: *#*#4636#*#*
This will open the Testing menu. Select the first entry "Phone information".
In the option "Select phone index" you can choose your sim card you want to get information about.
Then, press the three dotted menu in the upper right and select "IMS Service Status"
If it says "IMS Registration: Registered" everything is working fine. Depending on whether you are on WiFi or LTE, "Voice over LTE" or "Voice over WiFi" will be shown as "Available as well.
Enjoy!
Great work. I'm on Linux. What is this qpst and psd tools for exactly and is there a way to do the changes from Linux?

I'm on Linux too. Qpst is a USB Modem driver and PSD is a Tool to access and alter the modem firmware on the phone.
Unfortunately these will only run on Windows. I used VirtualBox and run Windows 7 (I bought a cheap license key some time ago) on it.
So none of these tools could be helpful?

Interesting, I didn't know these tools. Maybe it could work.
Thank you for the guide. Still, I think you have a typo:

There's a space preceding ',adb', and with blindly using this command something went wrong on my Windows PC. Had to restart. 'setprop' also supports only 2 arguments.
Another thing:

Remark:
I did not test it, yet. But you may have to repeat the procedure after every LineageOS update.

You should put that on top, maybe make it bold and set a bigger font. It looked like a tested and working method, I just blindly followed the instructions without questioning (also a mistake on my part).
Anyway, I followed the steps successfully but cannot see if VoLTE/VoWifi is functional as there is not indicator in LineageOS 17.1. If anyone knows a way, feel free to tell.
Thanks again.
Thank you for your reply.

The whole procedure was tested on my own phone. There was just one unclear thing, whether these changes survive an update of the LineageOS system. It does! So I removed this obsolet remark.

Yes, it's a pitty there's no indicator in the status bar. I've found another way to check functionality and added it to the guide.
Hope this make things more clearly.
Thx
Tried it on stock oos 10.3.6, and windows 10. Have swedish carrier Tre (Hallon).
Works great! Thanks for your guide! ?
Procedure fails on OP6 with LineageOS20, phone is not visible in PDC.
Hi all
Similarly to the Oneplus 8 series, Pixel 5 does not support 5G in countries that it is not sold in. For Oneplus, configurations could be changed using the Qualcomm QPST file manager.
https://mt-tech.fi/en/modify-oneplus-7-pro-5g-8-and-8-pro-nr-lte-a-band-combos/
However, using those instructions doen't work as I cant trigger engeneeringmode/factorymode.
Any idea how this could be triggered on Pixel 5 devices?
I'm also looking for advice on this, especially about adding VoLTE support aswell. Hopefully someone with more knowledge could provide some more information!
I'm even willing to contribute to a bounty
Is there anyone that understands how to get into engineering mode?

AFAIK there is no engineering mode on Pixels. Apparently there is a Qualcomm tool that allows you to modify your EFS partitions to change your bands.
https://forum.xda-developers.com/pixel-5/help/t-mobile-5g-compatibility-t4171145/post83841425
There must be an engineering or factory mode - its a qualcomm chip isn't it?
I think I managed to activate engineering mode as QPST now regognizes my phone. I followed the steps by @cstark27 written here: https://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=83499679&postcount=75
However, if I understood correctly, PDC tool is the one used to get VoLTE working on devices which are not certified between Google and a carrier by applying a vertified carrier's policy profily to your phone. Unfortunally, PDC does not regognize my phone for some reason. I really don't know what I should modify in EFS tool to enable 5G, VoLTE and more CA combos.
This has been an interesting but challenging project as I have combined steps from many tutorials designed for pixel and oneplus devices. But now I'm stuck and would love to hear comments from others who have tinkered around with these tools.
Is root a mandatory step? Wasn't for oneplus.

At least in my experience, definatelly yes. I have no idea how the diagnosing mode could be activated without it.

I don't have the Pixel 5 anymore, but looking at the carrier_policy.xml noted in the MT-Tech article (https://mt-tech.fi/en/modify-oneplus-7-pro-5g-8-and-8-pro-nr-lte-a-band-combos/), then there is a section that explicitly enables 5G for the PLMN's given. (<!-- START RULE: Add carriers require to enable 5G -->) So you should try adding your carrier to that area, copying the file back (make a backup!!) and rebooting. You can reference the PLMN name from the list at the beginning of this file...look at the MCC-MNC combos and find yours. The linked article is a little more detailed about how to do this. Proceed at your own risk. Make sure you have backed up the original files, and have the stock images to reflash if necessary.
@Lemon200 if you don't have the GD1YQ Pixel 5, this website (run by Mt-Tech admin) would appreciate the CA combos info. You can get that info using the Qualcomm Diag instructions, then upload the file to his uploader below: https://cacombos.com/contribute
I don't know about PDC. Can't get it to recognize a device.

Pros/cons vs the 4 XL I already have But I'm gonna do the trade-in deal with T-Mobile to get half off a 4a 5G. Will just need to get it sim unlocked so I can root it.

Thanks! I'll try enabling 5G when I have more time to mess around with QPST and upload the CA info aswell.
Could you please give an answer when you try it? I can't use in Spain the 5G network...
Good news everyone! I managed to enable 5G connectivity for my Pixel 5 in Finland. Thanks again to @cstark27 for hinting me to the right direction.
1. First you need to get your phone to show up in QPST. This is done similarly to Pixel 4 XL and you can find the the steps to do so here: https://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=83499679&postcount=75
2. Once you have installed QPST open EFS tool. If you have followed the steps in the previous step and have the right drivers installed your phone shows up here. Now you need to navigate to the carrier policy file. More details here: https://mt-tech.fi/en/modify-oneplus-7-pro-5g-8-and-8-pro-nr-lte-a-band-combos/
3. PLEASE remember to backup the original file! Pixel 5's file is different from the OnePlus example linked above. I simply added 5G to every rat_capability field, saved the file and then replaced the original file with the modified one. As usual, you have all the responsibility of your device and its modifications.
Now that 5G is working, all that's left is to find a way to enable VoLTE. Replacing MBN files has worked in other devices so perhaps it could be the solution here as well.

For some reason it is not working for me , i cant see my device qpst.. idk why i did it over 10 times now and still the same.
Is there anyway this is happening due to me using the method to bypass the safety net ? because for some reason my device shows as pixel 3a or something.
If you have the time can you give us the exact steps ? im pretty sure im missing something i just dont know what am i doing wrong.
Is there a way that i need specific drivers for QPST ?

If you want to mess with QPST:
Code:
adb shell
su
resetprop ro.bootmode usbradio
resetprop ro.build.type userdebug
setprop sys.usb.config diag,diag_mdm,adb
diag_mdlog
cancel (ctrl+c) once it starts to "hang" at failed to open diag socket
change usb config (file transfer, no file transfer)
wait

It actually worked bro ! Im so happy and sad now. I tried replacing the file but 5g still not working.
you mind sharing the carrier file you edited ? if it doesnt include any private info for sure.
when i open 4634
it shows
NR Available: False
NR State: NONE
NR Frequency: UNKNOWN ?
When I try to restrict it to NR ONLY the singal dies and shows no service..
can you confirm if this is normal or it should show available for NR ?

Are you sure you added 5G to every field possible? There are four rat_capability fields in the file so add 5g to every one of them to be sure, although I would guess that the last one is the one which matters. After uploading the modified file to your phone a restart is required. Also I think these configs are reset when sim card is changed.
EDIT: Also NR only won't work, as current 5G NSA networks still rely on 4G in many ways.

If by this you mean how to get your phone to show up in QPST, follow the original instructions here: https://mt-tech.fi/en/modify-oneplus-7-pro-5g-8-and-8-pro-nr-lte-a-band-combos/
You need to install the diag drivers and then use the adb shell commands you mentioned in your earlier post. Please read the articles linked in my original post. The diag mode on Pixel 5 is essentially enabled with the adb shell commands in order to use qpst.
