Hello dear android help community,
I noticed on my Z2 Pro that the charge indicator got stuck at 65%, when I noticed that, I checked the Amp Battery App and all values were read in incorrectly. The temperature was at -20 ° C lul and the voltage at 0.02V. I tried to restart it but then the display remained black. No boot selection, nothing! If I hold the switch for about 30 seconds, it vibrates briefly but the display remains black. If it is connected to the PC at the same time, it will be recognized as Unknown Device (The USB device has returned an invalid USB device descriptor). On the ZUK is the current RR-O-v6.1.0-20180710-z2_row with the void5.4 kernel and twrp-3.2.2-0. I'm trying to empty the battery completely, but then I do not know how to continue.
Are there any other ideas how to get it to boot again?

I still didn't get my OTA in Croatia so I decided to try this. I came across an issue which wasn't present in official 4.1.2. and maybe someone had (and still has) it as well. I'm posting this here so that it's easier to find if anyone has this issue and wants to fix it.
I have installed 4.3 on my Xperia T with Locked Bootloader and everything worked fine. However, I have come across a issue and managed to solve it as well. Here's what happened and how I solved it, maybe it helps someone with same problem.
Today my battery drained to 0% and the phone shut down. Now when I plug it in to wall socket to charge, red LED goes on and it turns the phone on. Once Android boots I can see 0% in status bar and it starts shutting down again. Then it boots up again and loops like that. I remember that on 4.1.2. there would be a battery icon when it was completely empty and it wouldn't boot the system. Now it just loops. This didn't happen on official 4.1.2.
I have Googled for solutions and have tried this.
"1. Press and hold down the power key on the right side of the phone. If the battery status LED flashes red, try plugging the charger into the phone at the same time as you are pressing and holding in the power key.
When plugging the charger into the phone there is a risk that nothing happens – no red battery status LED as indication of charging, or nothing appearing on the screen.
If the charging doesn’t start, follow the instructions under To let the charger be plugged in for 24 hours.
2. If the charging starts, keep charging the phone until it’s fully charged. Indication of charging is that the battery status LED lights up in red, or that the SONY symbol appears on the screen and then the LED lights up."
Problem was that when I left it to charge (screen off, LED red) it would start booting again after a few minutes. When it started to boot, I would press volume up + power key to shut it down and keep charging. I had to do this many times (10 to 15) and it was very frustrating but it worked in the end. I decided to let it boot and voilà! it showed 1% battery and didn't start shutting down. Now it's charged to 2% and keeps on charging.
The lesson - don't EVER let your Xperia discharge below 1%, you'll have a world of problems.
I have the exact same problem, except that it doesn't even charge when my screen is off.
Great find! I used a separate way to get it to charge but I can assure you it gave me a world of pain! Thank you for sharing
What about the Xposed module DisableCriticalBatteryShutdown?
If or devices were no longer turning off again after booting when battery is 0%, the problem would be fixed, right?

Hi
Thanks for this great site. My problem is that when my Samsung Galaxy S3 LTE (i9305) when is switched OFF and being charged displays a strange charge indicator which stays on-screen all the time (screen doesn't turn OFF at all) and shows no charge progress what so ever.
When I unplug the charger from the phone it still remains on screen and when I try to power on my device nothing happens. I have to remove the battery and put it back again to turn on my device.
Please assist me, I don't now what's wrong with my phone.
This is what the indicator is in the attachment.
so you are on 4.4.4 like me... that is offline charging....which should charge your phone while it is shut down....it is supposed to charge it faster then when it is on...
i tested it on mine....turned off phone...plugged in wall charger...after 2-3 sec screen light up showing that picture...after i disconnected the charger...after another 2-3 seconds screen turned off, phone turning off....but it started normally after that...long press on the lock button and started up...i'm on 4.4.4 from germany...only official 4.4.4 out.
So one morning I woke up and saw phone keeps rebooting(bootloop).I had breakfast then came back to pick it up,and i connected it to charger and phone was totaly dead.I tryed other cables but still same result.Only way to power it on is when I use original cable and connect it to charger/pc.Then red led turns on and display showing low battery, and led keeps blinking.Sometimes it can boot into system and works for few minutes and shuts off cuz 0%.I changed battery but everything is same,I also can go into TWRP.
**I TRIED EDL MODE/two pins or whatever and my PC is not showing Qualcom driver or anything else in relation with phone
i had same issue before, i simply just buy new cable and it working again!!
PS. Before i buy new cable i already had 3 type-c cable bot non of them working
I had the same issue an hour ago. My MI5 had ~25% charge left when I saw it shutting off, maybe I unknowingly did it. Then I decided to leave the phone in TWRP at night but in the morning it appeared to be dead. The red LED blinked only when I pressed the buttons, no turning on, fastboot or booting into TWRP was possible. When I plugged it into the charger an empty battery icon appeared with the red LED blinking continuously. After some time a new animated battery icon appeared, in the still turned off state, but this time showing the exact charge percentage (2%). It went to 3% and I turned it on with the power button.
Should be a faulty battery which needs to be replaced!

Hello there,
Today just received an moto e4 plus, the mediatek version xt1772.
After some mins I'm experiencing something weird that I haven't seen before with my 5+ devices being an Android user...
The phone "detects" it's charging for less than a second, enough to wake up the screen, turn on the notification led and change (inside the battery hidden menu) from "Unplugged" to "plugged in ac" or something like that, after half a second or less it goes to plugged in: unknown and "not charging" but the battery it's receiving power because really slowly it does charge (maybe 5% in 15min)
Did anyone experienced this or knows a fix? Thanks in advance.
Hi,
So the battery of My moto x 2014 is almost dead. It shuts down every now and then, even when the battery meter says its 100%.
Few hours ago it got shut down. I was busy so I connected it to charger and left it as it is. Now when I picked it up it won't turn on. When I connect the charger it shows battery symbol for 2 seconds, vibrates then shows smaller battery symbol (all black screen with white battery symbol in the center, and the symbol is full white meaning the battery is full), and then complete blank screen.
I tried to boot into system, recovery, fastboot but it won't work.
When I connect it to computer, computer gives off a sound that a new device is connected but adb won't recognize the device.
Help!
Hey mods you can delete this thread.
I was trying to remove the back cover and somehow the power button ribbon came out of its slot. I only saw it once I removed the back cover completely. Putting it back fixed the problem.
Sorry guys! ?
