Hi.
it is possible to relock the bootloader in huawei p20 pro??
I'd be interested to find out. Moved from UK to EU firmware for faster updated and could now re-lock bootloader to remover the warning message when phone boots up.

Re-lock is possible ("relocked" will be visible in locked info status).
Lock (factory deafault status) - probably yes.

PS: why do you want lock bootloader?

Thanks to everyone for your replies.
It was unlocked with huawei code, and it was rooted with fastboot. I want to block again to sell my p20 pro because I do not like to emui and has very little support

How does it take to get response from miui team for unlocking request ?
Again, can I request them more than one time ?
Can someone tell me the full procedure of unlocking bootloader ?
I meant the conditions and how I should start ?
Do I need to be in Dev rom ? Or it's okay to be in Global Stable to get approved unlocking request ?
Let, I'm approved to unlock my bootloader. Then what should I do ? Need I to flash Dev Rom first to start unlocking with unlock tool ?
I'm a noob here in Mi devices.
Please someone tell me from the start.
I'd be happy if someone let me knock him via PM.
Thank You all.

Did you relock your bootloader? If you already have your unlock code, it should be always working. Like me, I have my unlock code 3 months ago, but I just do the unlock two days ago.

i re locked it when i use to install new updates and re-brand by funkey huawei
Then funkey changed your booloader code ?
Somewhere on XDA I've read that you can still get the code when you call the hotline.
It would then arrive within a few days via e-mail.
After I received my P20 Pro yesterday and called the German Hotline , it turns out that this option was also completely suppressed by the management.
There is currently no way to get a code from Huawei on an official way.
I sincerely hope that a developer will find a way to root the P20 Pro.
As long as that is not possible, the device for me is almost a kind of iPhone without added value.
Wrong thread. Has to go in Huawei P20 Pro Guides, News, & Discussion
Founded this from P20 lite:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/huawei-p20-lite/development/huawei-p20-lite-root-t3773875
will there be official LineageOS support?
A little bit early to tell i think but since Huawei stopped the bootloader unlock programm in April 2018 it will be at least more difficult and in general i think not as much development as on other phones. Also Kirin phones are harder to mod i think
That stinks why do the lock the bootloader?
There has been very little ROM development for Huawei flagship phones such as P20 Pro / Mate 20 Pro. Doesn't help with locked bootloaders and unlocking services have unstable ability to offer codes, sometimes they can offer codes at other times they can not. Currently FunkyHuawei offering unlocking codes for "$1150 HKD ($146 USD) per code" though some cheaper sites can be found.

IF you still manage to get a device with unlocked bootloader, there's no way to root it or install a working TWRP, because there's ZERO development on Huawei P30 Pro and onward uawei devices...
That's because Huawei stopped giving users unlock bootloader codes and without them we can't have acces to get root, create custom rom's, TWRP and so on....

Hello everybody,
I'm going to try but I have a little question:
I want to root my Huawei P30 PRO.
Do you think I can force downgrade the firmware to one of P20 PRO ?
I want to use a P20 PRO firmware on my P30 PRO : Do you think it's possible ?
I'm going to try with Engineer Settings but I don't think it's going to work !
I will update this Thread with my results !
Thanks you all !

If you want to get a new motherboard or even a new phone, you can try )). Don't use a firmware from another device, m8. Plus that, in order to get root you'll have to get an unlocked bootloader, which is not possible, due to Huawei politics.
So sit back and relax, if you want to root devices, sell your P30 Pro and buy another phone (Samsung, One Plus, Xiaomi) who let u unlock bootloader and root device.
Cheers,
SilviuO

I know how to read bootloader unlock code from the firmware itself with a private Exploit.
But it does work only with the firmware wich has been not patched by the patch in June 2018 !!!
Despite they don't give away unlock codes my exploit work with the firmware vendor.img dump !
So do you think I can downgrade ?
Thanks !
Don't ask for me to release my exploit :
1st - You can buy it
2nd - It's private
Thanks !

NO, buddy, if you use the P20 Pro firmware you'll mess up with your motherboard and have to get it repaired. The P20 Pro processor is different than P30 Pro's, the security and kernel the same... BUT it's your choice, anyway.
I'm not interested in your exploit because i'm sure that it's not usable on Kirin 980 devices
This sounds like a poor attempt to sell an exploit - that probably won't work anyway.
If you are 100% set on rooting your phone then you can pay FunkyHuawei for the bootloader unlock code (assuming it only goes up to Android 9 currently?).
If you are dead set on trying to force P20 Pro firmware on to your P30 Pro then go ahead, but there should be a disclaimer that you will get laughed at if you then post a 'HELP I BRICKED MY P30 PRO!!!!! WHAT DO I DO???' thread.
If you know how to develop an exploit, then you should already know the answer to your own question. ?
Okay thanks you all.
You can close this thread.
Hi Guys,
as we all know to root your Huawei device you need to unlock bootloader...
I am trying since 3 days to find a way to get a bootloader unlock code even wanted to pay but didn't find any one to provide me bootloader unlock code, XDA Forum is my last hope you guys are doing best for your visitors,
if anybody have a solution for it please help me out if not free I will pay for it.

No way to root EMUI 10 and i think we not get that possibility in future no one have bootloader code and its not possible get it for now in anyway. Now its coming EMUI 10.1 and may be EMUI 11 for our P30 Pro but i belive tjere will be very low chance for any root
Downgrade to 10.0, then downgrade to 9.xx, then try to remove the bootloader, then root

SImply. You can't.
THERE'S NO WAY to ROOT ANY HUAWEI DEVICE released after 24.05.2018! Some sites had insiders on Huawei company and could get some unlock codes for a whille and get 100$ for them, but no more since then.
No unlock bootloader code, NO option to get ROOT! Read bellow link for more info!
Huawei will stop providing bootloader unlocking for all new devices

I was able to unlock the bootloader on my P30 lite and install TWRP + Lineage OS 16. It is a paid service but I think worth it to unlock your device.
