At the club, at the bar, or just in your mom's basement, nighttime is when you come out to play. Rate this thread to express how the Xiaomi Mi Max 3's camera performs when no or low light is present. A higher rating indicates that the camera sensor "sees" lots of light in dim conditions, and that the resulting photos have minimal noise. A higher rating also indicates that when the flash fires, the resulting photo is evenly-lit without any bright spots.
Then, drop a comment if you have anything to add!
I want to know this too

Tried it just now.
The app. I really have nothing to say about it..Google cam mod is way better.
First off all the app is completely bland. There is no controls of whatsoever other than the limited options you have in settings, like six options.
And the app is abandoned, last update on Android was on May 8, 2016. Last update on ios is Dec 9, 2016.
I downloaded it from the internet, search for: com.cortexcamera.cortexcamera_production
Opened lucky patcher and created modified apk with disable license verification..probably the easiest crack ever.
Save your money and go here instead https://forum.xda-developers.com/mi-max-3/themes/google-camera-mod-t3827356
Maybe the app performs better on ios I dunno. But on Android it looks like a fake toy app with cheap graphics decoyed as a rat/keylogger..

Yeah I was hoping it uses Ai similar to the one in p20 pro. But since it's abandoned it obviously won't get any better
Google camera is definitely better, but I don't wanna root my mi max 3 because of the ota updates. That's why I was searching for an alternative
Thank you for testing it

BBQDSLR
Remotely control your Nikon DSLR from your Android device!
BBQDSLR lets you control your Nikon DSLR right from your tablet or phone. It provides advanced features, such as RGB Parade or manual focus driver, on top of all the classic features (all settings of your camera such as ISO, shutter speed, aperture, flash mode, HDR, etc.), and of course a capture and video recording button. All of this is offered to you through a simple and neat interface compatible with both phones and tablets.
If you’re not alone, or would like to control your DSLR wirelessly, you can connect multiple device to your “host” device through Bluetooth and access all app features remotely, including LiveView.
For more details, a complete list of features, compatible devices, and FAQs, reach our website at http://dslr.bbqdroid.org.
This is a BETA version, so there might be some bugs depending on the camera or device you have. Feel free to contact me so we can fix it
You can check compatibility using BBQDSLR Checker app.
Feel free to discuss if you have any question!
Awesome! Just ordered a OTG-cable so I can test this on my D90. Will of course report back when the cable arrives.

Nice looking release and app.
Does this app support BULB mode? (d5100)
Thanks

You just need a simple USB-OTG adapter or cable, like this:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/micro-USB-O...ablet-pc-MID-Keyboard-3g-dongle-/261031219115
It's a simple microUSB to USB female cord/adapter, to let you plug your usb cable bundled with the camera.
Update has been pushed on the Play Store and will appear in a few hours. Here is a list of the changes :

Save & Restore all camera settings

Nikon only added the ability to trigger Bulb shots with D5200 it seems. I can't find it in the D5100/D7000 SDK docs.

the same lines are observed on photos also.
the service centre people have replaced my mother board, but still same problem :crying:

Depends on the lighting so not much can be done.
I've had the problem with my X once. It was in Hershey Park Arena (the old one) in one of the halls, taking a picture of a logo on a wall.
I've never seen it since. So it may be related to specific lighting conditions.
What happens at home, under low non-florescent lights?

Under non fluorscent lights, it is fine.
why i am worried is, i am using this phone from 5 months, and recently this change is observed and
at the same place , with the same model (moto x) doesnt show this lines/this behaviour.
so i thought this is problem my handset itslef.

from what you are describing it sounds like the issue only arises in just the right conditions. that means your camera hardware is probably fine and the problem can be seen as software related. Moto X camera software doesn't give you much in the way of settings to mess around with, so you should try third party apps that do have more settings. Maybe a more photography enthusiastic user can chime in here, but I'd think trying an app that has settings for different lighting conditions, stuff like white balance, etc might help.
I use stock camera myself, and not that much at that, but I do notice you can get completely different exposure of the same scene in the same lighting if you change something like the manual focus or the angle of your shot.
I have a Moto X and was facing a similar problem. Using a third-party camera app named CameraMx solved it for me! I dont know why or how but it worked for me! That app seems to correct those black and white lines in some way! Hope it works for u too!
Say "cheese", then rate this thread to express how photos taken with the Lenovo P2 come out. A higher rating indicates that photos offer rich color (without over-saturating), sharp detail (with all subjects in-focus), and appropriate exposure (with even lighting).
Then, drop a comment if you have anything to add!
I wonder what sensor the phone is using. The EU version P2A42 is using the Sony IMX258. But the P2C72 (Chinese global version seems to be using the Sony Exmor RS)?

Do you have any reference for that info? I didn't see any hardware specs that confirm it.
https://www3.lenovo.com/in/en/smartphones/p-series/Vibe-Lenovo-P2/p/PPIPPIP2C72
it says only Sony camera, but not which one :-/
here http://www.livemint.com/Leisure/JGS...amera-proves-just-megapixels-dont-matter.html it says that it is Sony IMX258
Photos taken by P2 are awful. They have lots of noises even on the lowest ISO and they lack details. Camera is the biggest disadvantage of this smartfone. But I love it anyway because of battery and performance.

Strange on kimovil there was other info. The chinese version had a Sony Exmor.
https://www.kimovil.com/en/compare/lenovo-vibe-p2,lenovo-vibe-p2-32gb
Now both are 1:1 the same.. Hmm. But yeah anyways my old phone had a better camera. I was kinda disappointed, and also the software is terrible. It's full of bugs, I will root this sucker soon.
The rear camera is imx258 and the front camera is a ov5695.

P2's low light camera performance can be noticeably improved!
If your P2 is rooted and you have enabled Camera2 Api, please try yourself a Snap Camera HDR app ( It's avaiable in a Play Store in both Trial and Pro version, you can also find pro version cracked, erm...let's say, in the Internet. )
I've found this guy's guide in the Redmi Note 4 thread: https://forum.xda-developers.com/redmi-note-4/themes/google-camerawith-hdr-mido-t3656196/post74676264#post74676264. My phone is running the unofficial LOS 14.1 and...it really makes a diffrence.
Photos are being made for over a second and then about 10 seconds takes processing them (you can made another photo in the meantime).
All of these photos were made without any tripod, sometimes I sat down or leaned against the lamppost/wall but nothing really crazy(maybe 30 photos). Some photos are maybe a bit out of focus after close-up (EDIT: After seeing photos in the laptop I think that photos without "tap to focus" tend to be a bit sharper) and some of them are a little overexpossed after touch-to-focus (They don't after pressing the camera button without tapping to focus before), anyway you can play with a metering area setting(I wasn't), but...see it for yourself.
https://www.flickr.com/photos/[email protected]/sets/72157690966808425/
The P2 didn't magically became the S8 or the flagship camera but in my opinion photos are acceptable now.
What do you think?

Yes about color OS, i personally feel it is not that much of pleasure using it. Realme announced their own OS Realme OS for their new phones. Hope we will get the update soon, which will be more closer to AOSP with dark mode in it like oxygen OS.

As per i heard RealME OS will be coming next year. And the Dark Mode is coming in Color OS 7.
And I don't think we will get AOSP , just speculation not sure though!
Personally , i feel color os is kinda immature . custom rom though will be a great experience on this great hardware
Color os is not that refined. Hope that Realme OS comes soon, otherwise custom roms zindabaad!
I will be honest. It was much better than I had anticipated.
I used few Oppo devices with Color OS some months back for some time and had an headache.
The current 6.0.1 is lot lot cleaner and less cartoonish. Still, lot of issues though. Especially because I use Nova launcher, there seems to be quite a bit of lag and hang. After searching online, it seems Nova doesn't work as swiftly in ColorOS as it normally does.

What a massive camera-focused update even if the size of the build isn't that big - just installed it from a UK device.
I'm going on holiday tomorrow (to the coast up North) so I'll be sure to take a few zoom pics again and will upload some photos in the other thread.
The refocus portrait photo in Album now works for me.
There is a now an ultra stabilization in video for the ultra wide angle lens, you select ultra stabization as normal which uses the normal wide lens and then there is a new icon on screen called Super Anti Shake Pro (icon P) this gives you better stabilization than normal for the ultra wide lens.

Odd why some of us are left out. Trials are not made available on my phone.
Any idea why this is happening?
It would be hard to compare differences without a side by side comparison, before and after the upgrade.
Video stabilization seems improved, for the rest I don t see differences...

You need to catch the time window when update is available in trial. It might be a day, it might be an evening. After that you won't get it anymore, wait for main update channel.
And then, if you are absolutely sure trial is on right now, you sometimes need to check it repeatedly few times, 'cause server connection is usually poor when trial starts and everyone is downloading it. This time it took me like 10 minutes to get the update downloading.
