I am on oxygen oreo and now i want to go back to nougut. So i flashed the special build open beta 15 for my op3t and i was back to 7.1.1. The problem i am having is that after that whenever i am trying to flash a nougut kernel e.g. franco or derp which supports nougut my phone does not boot and all i can see a white notification light. Any idea what should i do?

Yes i am using a nougut kernel
Be sure to always use stock kernel, before flashing a custom kernel.
Even when you want to go from custom to custom.

I am a big fan of lineage os. So i would love to see an official lineage os ROM for redmi 4 and 4x. Lineage os, please make it possible.

I used to use redmi 2, we don't have official kernel, we have a ported kernel and still managed to get official lineageos

What is this?
This is a Semi Generic System Image. That means it's a generic system image that's been optimised as much as possible for our Samsung Devices. This is what differentiates this rom from the one you can find in the Project Treble Forum. I also plan to provide regular updates and improvements very frequently. I'm aiming for weekly if not more.
Why not Rainbow_Dash?
We're a part of the same team and he's taking a break from developing for the moment, so I'm going to do my best to support you with regular updates and support where possible. So his previous version should be considered redundant.
How the heck do I flash this?
It's slightly different than flashing a zip, so here's what you need to do.
Download the image file
Flash BRJ6 Vendor (If you're not on it already)
Flash a compatible kernel (I believe Endurance Kernel AOSP Works fine)
Flash the System Image to your System Partition
Optional if you want root (but reccomended): Reboot to recovery again then flash your choice of Magisk. I use 17.1 as I can get galaxy wear to work with that version.
Reboot your device and you should be good to go! No need to flash gapps as they're included.
To boot recent GSI Builds, on S9/+ be sure to have:
•BRJ6 Vendor
•Eamons latest Endurance Kernel based on 8.1 (AOSP)
•Soldiers latest ELS
*On some ROMs you will find Fingerprint doesn't work, so flash Soliders latest ELS, try and let your phone boot and then flash Endurance again after. You will notice your Fingerprint process isn't in a loop anymore*
What's different to the PE in project treble forum?
Thanks to GRaf for this guidance ^^

Awesome thank you very much ?
thank you, could please post some screenshot.
Does not progress from white pixel boot screen for me s9+.
I'm a little confused by the instructions. I am on the BRJ8 vendor currently. Do i flash it in this order?
Wipe system, data, cache, dalvik cache
Install the rom img into the system partition
Reboot into recovery
Install the endurance kernel aosp 9.0
Correct?

tried, doesn't go further than boot logo after flashing all that on BRJ8 So you need BRJ6

I've updated the OP with further guidance regarding getting it to boot. I don't have the S9/S9+ so I had to to go to a buddy and ask him. Hopefully this will help you get it booting now.
Wait what...... You're telling us to flash an android 8.1 kernel to an android 9 rom?

Well we don't have a pie kernel sources yet, so yes. Plus it's a Generic System Image. The 8.1 kernel works fine.
New build posted. see OP for details.
One more question, I am already on BRJ8 firmware, and I heard somewhere that samsung doesn't allow you to downgrade to an older firmware. Is this true? Do i just flash the BRJ6 firmware on my already current rom?

You need the vendor, nit the firmware. And yes, you can flash vendor and firmware.zips how you like. Versions up and down. I am speaking about the flashable version for TWRP.

It will indeed work for SnapDragon variants friend. It's Samsung specific but still a generic image.
I'm stuck on Google logo
Came from ZRKZ
Factory reset - flashed vendor BRE6, flashed img, rebooted twice into Samsung, booted into google, progress bar keeps going and going... 20 minutes.

Strangely enough Pixel Experience will only boot with Jesec's 8.1 ramdisk that my 8.1 kernel utilises. I'll update my OP to address this.

I will need a custom recovery though right? US Snapdragons are bootloader locked so I don't have any way of doing that

descendant rom works great... No issues on my side... all the gestures that comes with the rom made me forget about Moto actions..not to long i Installed "Dolby" it made me forget about going back to stock... Battery wise is almost like stock, the first day flashing the rom was ok, after a week of using it's pretty good...

Currently on Moto g6 stock Android 9.0. Is it not possible to flash after rooting on pie ? Also is the ROM daily driver material ? Does VOLTE work also ?

Most GSI requires Oreo base. Since u have PIE, you're limited to phh AOSP v108, Octopus latest, AEX official, Descendant 1.5 or 2.1 made by the Real John Galt avail. on Telegram for G6 (2.0 needs Oreo). VOLTE generally doesn't work on GSI--just 4G. If u need VOLTE, stay on stock Oreo or PIE. RR7 disallows SD card (int/ext) access but works on PIE base

HueyT. Have tried just about every possible way of installing RR on Moto G6. The last attempt was to completely wipe phone(format, and all directories deleted.). Flashed AOSP 9 PHH treble. It booted properly. Completed "basic setup" then after brought to home screen, powered down. Rebooted into FastBoot. Dirty flashed RR 9 from official download site, and it never passes boot screen. Have left the device for over 30 minutes. Any help would be appreciated!

RR7 has broken SD card (int/ext) access so can't download anything or any apps or take any photos. Thus, get Oreo vendors and flash RR6.1 and be done with it

There are several GSI's flashable off of PIE vendors: pHH AOSP v111, Descendant AOSP v2.1 (John Galt has customized it to G6 on our Telegram group with Gapps built-in, but GSI vanilla version listed here will work also), AEX official 6.1, Octopus 11/18, PixelExperience 8/2018 version, LOS16, DotOS and Syberia by Nfound on Android File Host) are those that I can cofirm work on PIE vendors.
The other GSI's are best installed on top of stock Oreo vendors.
Most GSIs, VOLTE does NOT work (just 4G data) and PLAY Store is NOT certified (except John Galt's version as it's customized for our G6). Most Play Store needs Device ID apk to get GSF value to manually register your phone before Play store will work.

Download gapps from this link: https://www.cyanogenmods.org/downloads/pico-opengapps-for-android-10-arm64/
Instructions to install gapps:
1-Flash rom zip and magisk (optional)
2-Boot the device once (yes don't flash gapps on first boot because of a bug with android setup)
3-After you boot the device once go back to the recovery. If you didn't flash magisk in last step your recovery will be overwriten by aosp recovery. If that happens just reflash twrp using fastboot.
4-Flash gapps
5-Boot the device now you will get error like "Android setup has stopped working". Just click more info and disable android setup from settings.
6-Login to your google account by running play store and follow the simple steps.
Android setup bug may get fixed in stable versions of gapps but for now install it like this.
I tried to follow the procedure updating my OmniRom 9.0 but the phone goes into bootloop.
i've also tried everything several times different species and versions, without gapps it works! (intigriter update button missing?)
Thanks a lotʕっ•ᴥ•ʔっ
