Custom ROM, Magisk, Xposed, MicroG T813: Nougat or Oreo? - Galaxy Tab S2 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hello all,
I recently got me a Tab S2 9.7, T813.
I want to install a Custom ROM:
At least Nougat, with Magisk, with XPosed, without GAPPS, with MicroG.
This already runs well on my Oneplus One.
I took Nougat because I already know the system from the OPO.
I have trouble finding good Nougat Custom ROMs, Resurrection Remix (also on OPO) would have been my favourite, but it does not boot.
I took OMNI Nougat instead.
Using this combination (Magisk, Xposed, MicroG, not GPAPPS), should I go to Oreo instead, as there are more Custom ROMS?

Xposed in Ressurection Remix

Hi guys!
I flashed Ressurection like 2 days ago and would like install xposed.
What i was wondering is what version of xposed i should use.
Seeing as there is one version of xposed for mi5 miui and then there is the "global" version of xposed.
I am 95% sure that i should use the "global" or normal version on RR since it's not MIUI, but i just wanna make sure.
Thanks!
Resurrection is CM13 based, no?
Then you can flash the standard version of Xposed (ver 86.)
MIUI requires a modded version of Xposed because Xiaomi modify the Android base code so much.
FWIW, I'm on CM13 and flashed this: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=3034811

Hi guys, do you know how to turn the lineage 14.1 official rom on our m7 to a full GP experience?
Try this. Flashable zip. Excellent work on nougat ROMs. I had test on Slim7.

Installing Nougat on a ME176CX?

Can it be done? Is it even possible?
Really? We want a normal bootable custom ROM, but not Nougat. At least we need to first run Cyanogen Mod 12.0
@lambdadroid just made LineageOS 14.1 (android 7.1.2) for our device, it is glitchy tho

How to update lineage os with xposed?

I wanted to know if I have to uninstall xposed before updating the lineage os
I have an xperia z sgp311 lineage os 14.1
Actually, the ROM update might wipe out Xposed depending on how it handles /system. Uninstalling Xposed may not be necessary but it is a good idea to disable all modules though. Just to limit potential problems on new boot.
Check this thread and @MariferC's updated addon.d script. It might actually preserve Xposed so one wouldn't have to uninstall or reinstall it.
EDIT: @novatosuper, I am so sorry. I thought I pasted the thread when I posted.
Once again, my apologies.

I just update my LineageOS 14.1 ROM, then I reflash SuperSU and Xposed Framework zips and after I reboot everything is usually fine.
This method has worked for me for multiple LineageOS ROM updates.

For custom ROMs it's easy peasy. I use and recommend the UNITY package. Handles system or systemless. Has worked without issue on all ROMs I run. See link below. If by chance you do have problems with it just flash the installer again as it also acts as an uninstaller. Or remove it via Magisk Manager (I don't use Magisk so...).
Xposed on stock Oreo, though, may be a no go. Moto users in the Xposed Oreo thread seem to be having no luck it seems.
