As described in this thread, there would be many benefits in building kernels that way, is that possible even on our Shamu?

I'd like to ask the link of the last stock firmware (flashable through cwm) that is supported from an aosp theme, and a link for this one. You're posting in the wrong place. You shouldn't post here, you should post at s3 mini q&a, help and troubleshooting.
Waiting for a moderator I told it before

have you perhaps taken the time to look at the various ROMs available?
there are a few that might have the look and feel you are looking for
Only stock but AOSP themed is Enox, but it has not been updated from may last year. So..... Maclaw's AOKP.
Do you say this? http://maclaw.pl/s3-mini
Last one ?? Cm 11 right?

No. That is CM. AOKP is here.
I think that my nexus 7 became more and more slow when installing new android updates. So I want to give it a try and flash a 4.1 rom, just for curiosity.. I can find older roms but I can't find older version of bootloaders. Is there any dedicated thread with older downloadable version of bootloaders? Can I extract those from factory images?
So far I learned that to downgrade I have only to flash an older bootloader and then the older rom. Is that correct? Thanks for the help.

Bump

Yes, you just need to flash bootloader, system and boot images via fastboot.. To get them just download the full 4.1 factory image from the official website

you can ask one of the team members, as we don't know. i can guess and say its because the n6 isnt available in china, but that would be only a guess..
"MIUI 7 is based on Android 5.1 Lollipop"
actually i stand corrected. this version was only unveiled a few days ago.
hopefully one of the devs take interest

Way it looks device will EOL before it ever sees MUI. Hopefully it can RIP.
i've installed cm13 nightly today and after flash the rom i've flashed gapps but when i reboot the phone he loop it. i've tested without the gapps and the phone start it on boot. what could be the problem? thanks for helps
Try factory reset, clear dalvik and cache.
It's still new, so nobody can guarantee that it will actually work, nobody tests nightlies, but those who download them.
I've tried but is the same. Surely is a ROM problem. I will be wait next month for a stable ROM

There are no official stable versions anymore (called snapshots), not for all versions (for shamu there isn't).
But for sure in a month it will be more stable.

If it boots without the gapps, try different gapps. I use http://opengapps.org/ 6.0 Stock on my personal CM 13 builds without issue.
These was the gapps that i've used. But nothing is changed

Use the same one you use (557MB) and no problem whatsoever.
Which recovery you use?

You might try re-downloading the gapps and the cm rom, one of them might be corrupted somehow.
When i can surely i will try to download the ROM. Now i remain with the cm 12.1.

Could be a file system problem?

You`re welcome

Now that the miui support for mi5 is finished I would like to install a custom rom.
Do you recommend the best rom for consumption and stability?
I use the phone for work and now, with the miui, maps no longer works.
Thanks

Try pixel experience 8.1 and kernelx. Best configuration for me
Thanks
Currently I'm with the pixel Experience 9.
In your opinion is worse than 8?
