Hello ,
I recently flashed my Redmi 4 device with MOKEE Android 7.1.2 ROM. Everything is working fine but i am unable to restore whatsapp chats. Every time i click on chat restore, after 24% its shows this message : "Unable to restore your chats from this backup. Do you want to restore from an older backup? "
I tried to restore my whatsapp backup on MEMU Emulator and it worked.
So how to restore my chats on this rom. I know this rom is causing issue.

Hey guys,
Thanx for looking in this. So, I have a rooted cappy att on a stock 2.2 ota update version of firmware and yesterday I did a nandroid backup for the first time after reading proper instructions. So, after that when my phone booted up it was somehow missing the contacts icon which was no where to be found. So I started my titanium backup pro and tried restoring the contacts app, but it just froze. So, I finally decided to do a nandroid restore. I went into clockwork and restore and started it. So, after it booted up it would just show me LogsProvider error in a loop. So now somehow I managed to go into titanium and then found the LogsProvider and did a restore of that app+data amd it stopped putting the errors. But now, it will get me errors for whatever app I try to access. Till now it has shown me errors in gmail, browser, tw launcher. But xda runs perfect!
Changes that I did for getting the cwm was it wont take me to that green screen for backup no matter how many times I clicked the reinstall packages. So I went into rom manager and flashed a older version of cwm which was 2.5.1.1 instead of the 2.5.1.2 and now I could go into the green and do a backup and this was all before the restore.
So, this is it. I am now booting in with errors and my contacts are gone, cannot open messages. Basically, SCREWED!
Help me out buddies, it would be really appreciated! Thanx in advance.

If you did a factory reset, there's probably a good chance that all your stuff is gone. I really hate to say it, but all that stuff is stored on the physical memory of the phone, and without an SD Card, it all gets wiped.
Thnxx sir...
Sir yesterday i tried to rrstore my previous backup by using data recovery wizard in windows...but when i tried to restore the backup from recovery it shows "checking md5 sums md5 mismatch"...then after trying a lot it says restoring boot and restoring system...but after it says restoring data failed...then when i rebooted phone the my touch was not working...phone got stucks at lock screen...
So is there any way to restore data from my backup using windows or any other method using recovery....

Hello all, and thank you for looking at my thread.
To start off with I have a rooted Nexus 6 with stock Rom except for TWRP and a minor change to some settings to allow hotspot. I wanted to upgrade to 5.1 from 5.0.1 so I performed a full Nandroid backup and flashed the new ROM using Wugfresh's toolkit. I realized after I did this that I had forgotten to get my text messages and call logs from the old ROM. I then performed another full Nandroid backup of 5.1 and then tried to restore the 5.0.1. During the restore of the data partition it gets stuck and will not go any further. I checked the MD5 hash for the data partition and it matches.
Is there any way to repair the backup?
Figured it out for myself. Realized that there isn't really a way to fix a backup. found a program called nandroid manager and was able to get the sms and call logs without restoring.
Hello,
Yesterday i upgraded from 5.0.2 to 5.1.1. . I installed this version: http://forum.xda-developers.com/z3-...03-lollipop-5-02-odexed-pre-rooted-2-t3090505
But maybe its not a problem with this ROM, because my dirty upgrade vom 5.0.2. to another 5.1.1. ROM has the same result.
I cant restore my apps and i have no idea why I tried to restore several Apps from Titanium Backup with TWRP. The app begins to Restore but stays at 0%. After 5 minutes it finishes "successful" without restoring any App.
Does anybody have the same problems?
Hi,
I have a Galaxy Pop Plus (S5570i - rooted) which I currently renewed by reflashing the stock rom: I’ve done optimization/customization of both system and applications and now I’d wish to do a Nandroid backup of everything, since I plan to install/test some other rom.
In the past months I’ve tried some CWM recovery which installed fine, and all CWM which I tested were able to correctly performs the Nandroid backup on my SD card, but none of these CWM recovery were able to restore the backup; I don’t exactly remember the exact error message, but was something about the mounting of some partition, furthermore this failed restorings caused my phone to become bricked and I was forced to reflash the stock rom.
By searching on this forum I've find this discussion, about another version of CWM for the S5570i, especially on the following post:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=27179828&postcount=119
The user in such post ( draiyan ) said that he was able to backup and restore a Galaxy Mini Plus using the Skin1980-GT-S5360+CWM.zip file. Well: this CWM, as the other which I tried, boots fine on my phone and as the other which I tried, has been able to make a Nandroid backup, but I’d wish to have some other confirmation: is the CWM kin1980-GT-S5360+CWM.zip recovery able to restore the backup? Or maybe someone can suggest me a tested CWM for the Galaxy Mini Plus with the stock rom, which is able to correctly restore a Nandroid backup?
Many thanks.

Well, I reply to myself, also for future references/needs of the people which will read this topic:
Yes: the CWM Skin1980-GT-S5360+CWM.zip recovery is able to properly backup and restore the Nandroid Backup on the Galaxy Mini/Pop Plus (S5570I), yesterday I decided to take the risk to restore the Nandroid backup and everything went fine: the restore was properly done, because using a root file explorer I made a text file under /system and /data: after the Nandroid restore these text file were no longer present, and after the reboot I found my phone in a previous state (before the restore the phone was in plane mode, after the restore the plane mode was disabled).
