Flash issue: global miui 10 rom over the chinese miui 10 - Xiaomi Mi 8 Questions & Answers

I´m flashing the global rom over the chinese. Bl unlocked. But the process is taking too long. Now I see 2077s. The progress bar is full green, but the result bar sho flashing. The status bar shows finisehd. total time 627.860s.
The question is: It´s done? What sould I do? Wait? Reset the phone?
Thank you in advance

I finally unplugged the device, rebooted in fastboot, and reflashed. Everything went fine this time, less than 200s.

Bootloop on first ever startup

Hello,
I ordered a brand new redmi 4x from gearbest. When I turned it on for the first time ever it got stuck at the boot animation. Even after 30 minutes nothing happened. I already went to the phone menu to wipe & reset everything, it didn't help though. Any idea what can I do without an unlocked bootloader? Before I send it back to china I want to try to fix it by myself.

I think the best solution is to take it to the service point because almost every single tweak needs an unlocked bootloader.

XiaomiTool v2 problem

Hello guys!
I tried to install Global stable from EEA.
Everything went fine, but after the software downloaded the stable and started to copying the rom to my phone, it just stopped. My phone write 4.99% and the software writing this:
What is the solution?
here is a pic about the software:
https://drive.google.com/file/d/1H6E6GcHbPoLZGie4QyQu2i9oVRbw3V6M/view?usp=sharing
Thank you
SOLVED
How did you solve it? And, was your bootloader unlocked before doing it?
It blocks for a few minutes on 4.99% and app goes way over 100%, but eventually it moves on.
Just have to be patient.
And no, BL stays locked.

Is that over 100% a known problem? The flashing was ok, but I was wondering if some kind of error could be hidden anywhere...

Accidentally Locked the bootloader with the custom rom installed

So I installed a custom rom in my new k20 pro lately, and accidentally locked the device after installed the custom rom inside. Now, my device is refusing to open the new rom and stuck in redmi recovery mode. It said that "this MIUI version cant be installed on this device". I tried to unlock the phone again, but xiaomi said that it takes at least 30 days to unlock a new device. Im kinda sad and confused about this, please help.
How did you lock the bootloader with custom ROM installed?
Sent from my Redmi K20 Pro using Tapatalk
Try this older version, http://www.mediafire.com/file/j2d5f89fgvc3aq9/MiFlashUnlockToolV.2.2.406.5_%281%29.zip/file

Did you try to flash custom rom using miflash?
Hi! I have the same issue on my Xiaomi Mi 11 Pro (It was Chinese) but it came unlocked with xiaomi.eu rom.
After i installed a global rom, and google wallet nfc pay did not work, so i thought okay i will lock it then so maybe wallet would accept it, (with the eu rom it worked before) so i put the device in fastboot and used fastboot oem lock on cmd...
And from then it stucks on miui recovery 5.0 screen, and says, this miui version can't be installed on this device...
I might not enabled oem unlocking before i shut if off, but i added it to my mi account so i dont know if after a week i can maybe unlock it. But i think the other possible solution would be to sideload the original chinese stock rom, which is for M2102K1AC, Mi 11 pro, codename mars, but i couldn't find it anywhere... If someone can upload a link to it, that would be a huge help! Or any idea! thx!

HI! i got a mi 11 pro 1 year ago, and it was offically chinese, but it came unlocked with Xiaomi.eu firmware, but i could't update it via the updater app, so i searched and found the global star version and just flashed it, everything worked, only now google pay nfc didnt work, it said that its probably because of the unlocked bootloader, so i got to fastboot and in cmd i sent fastboot oem lock, and since then my phone is stuck in miui recovery 5.0 screen and says that i cannot run this firmware on the device, i tried to unlock it but failed, maybe after a week, but i think that i didnt turn on oem unlocking on the phone itself before this... So im just hoping that after a week unlocking could be done... Or my other idea is, that i could install the original chinese rom with sideload, because i managed to install another global version on it since, but the result is still the same, the only problem is that i cannot find literally anywhere a mars codenamed firmware...

Anyone who might have the same situation, i found a simple, but effective solution, not sure if it works on every xiaomi device, but i will write down the steps here:
You need to use XiaomiADB, here is the download link and the description for how to use it -> https://xiaomiui.net/how-to-use-xiaomiadb-8044/ (if the page is not available, then feel free to msg me!)
For xiaomi adb, you need to go to 3rd option on the miui recovery screen, NOT THE FASTBOOT
So basically i went through the steps to “xiaomiadb sideload_miui <filename>”
And I tried to install a rom, BUT IT DIDNT ACCEPT IT!
The message was:
ERROR: This rom cannot be installed, server code -> 2001, server message -> Can't install unofficial rom
after trying 4 times all the same and: Installation of this rom via stock recovery is not allowed by Xiaomi
Says Installation failed, and then i just decided to download another rom so i PLUGGED OUT THE PHONE right after this, and went to another room to connect to wired network, to download and try a different rom... when i came back, to all my surprise, the phone was turned on, so i went to the setting dev ops and enabled bootloader unlocking, linked it to my account enabled adb and everything that is needed to flash another rom later, so then i rebooted and again, miui recovery 5.0 screen, but now i enabled unlocking, so i put the phone in fastboot, and tried MI UNLOCKER TOOL again, now it says: Please unlock 168 hours later. And do not add your account in MIUI again, otherwise you will wait from scratch.
So that means, after 7 days i wll be able to unlock it, until then, i can turn it on with the above method, in short try to sideload (copy and install) a rom to it, and then after it failed, plug it out and just wait like 10-20 maybe 30 seconds and bam your device is normally booted... I hope it helps to some of you, (i have been searching for the solution for almost a week, my other option was to pay someone who can MAYBE do it or send the phone back to china and pay the repairs, so im really happy with this method! If it helps to you, please reply so i and the others will know that it worked! Have a nice day!

Question [Redmi Note 10 Pro] TWRP logo bootloop

Hi there,
My Redmi Note 10 Pro had random problems receiving SMS that I didn't know how to fix.
(reset to factory settings... change sim card...)
I tried to install another ROM than the original one.
(this one: https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/android-11-or-12-roms.4459219/#post-87044197 )
I also updated TWRP (https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/orangefox-twrp-cant-mount-system-and-data.4465099/#post-87114951)
Since then, my phone restarts in a loop on the TWRP logo, without going any further and without being able to turn it off, until the battery is empty.
Which solution ?
Thanks !
(sorry for my poor english... google translate from french)

There are 3 models:Chopin,Sweet,Sweetin
have you installed the correct Twrp and rom
https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/flash-tool-guide-use-xiaomi-flash-tool.4262425/
Enter fastboot mode: press button power and volume -
and flash stock rom(dont relock the bootloader).
It's a "sweet" model.
I used the above links to install :
"TWRP-3.6.2_12.1-sweet-20220705.img"
and
"lineage-19.1-20220619-UNOFFICIAL-sweet"
I'll try Flashtool as soon as I have some free time.
For the moment, I took back my old Note 8 !
;-)
Thank you very much for the reply.

After installing TWRP, I think you didn't formated data with yes. But it's necessary and restart after this to TWRP again. Then you can flash lineage, but take the newest for sweet from 7.7.22.
I don't remember...
But, in the future, I will be careful !
Thanks, guys !
You saved me !
My phone came back to life.
I'll see later if the SMS works again.
(it was often a problem for bank security identification : I sometimes received 1, and often... nothing)

After instaling custom rom, does Nokia 8 still scream on reboot that it's unlocked?

Hello,
I remember that when i last time unlocked bootloader on my Nokia 8 phone, on every phone restart there was an obnoxious splashscreen telling that "this device is unlocked, unsafe..." etc. etc. which made every reboot longer and well, it didn't look nice.
Is the same screen also showing up when I install any custom ROM such as Pixel Experience?

yes, this message on the screen always appears with any ROM while the bootloader is unlocked, it is not something that is from the installed ROM but from the bootloader and it seems to be prior to loading the system like the BIOS on a computer. As for the Pixel Experience, this ROM it is very stable and you hardly ever have to restart the phone, so you will see this message very rarely
