I was wondering if anyone has replaced the rear glass lens on their top camera? Mine as cracked and I'm wondering about how hard it is to change? Or if anyone has had a tech do it in the UK then how much they paid.
It's a £75 excess from my insurance.. So not sure its worth paying them.
Thanks

Thank you!
I've ever used such tempered glass offered when I bought the Nillkin cover for my G4.
But after a while, I remove it out as I think it will affect the taken photos, it may take the photo unclear or distort.
Thanks
Today arrived the camera galass and the camera frame(with glass) replacement.
Tempered glass and frame both correct quality.
Now order +1 spare this:http://www.banggood.com/Back-Camera...For-LG-G4-H815-H810-H811-VS986-p-1025446.html
Hallo, I'm looking for GENUINE lens for H815, not OEM etc. parts. I need real glass lens, WITH antireflective coating (on both sides), the same as original one. I was trying to order some (eBay, AE), but all these parts are not genuine ..
Do you have any ideal where to buy genuine one? Thanks! :]

Any difference in picture quality?
Hello everyone I bought this phone for the camera.
I have read a few different reports where people say the camera lens scratches really easily but other reports are saying it has scratch proof glass, which is it?
I want to keep the lens protected if easily scratched but these lens covers/protectors look like they will ruin the quality of photo.
Any answers or advice here please?
Hi, the lens is protected by tempered glass, keys and coins, even razor blade cannot scratch it.
And for a lens cover, I saw some on Amazon.
Recently, somebody here reported breaking the cover and had to buy a new one. The lens are probably more sturdy though.

I have my phone in a good protective case and I have a tempered glass screen protector.
My concern is the camera lens on the rear scratching so really I don't know if I should continue with a lens protector and lose some image quality or leave it off as the lens is pretty durable. I cannot get any factual answer either way.
I am not sure about posting a direct link to Amazon, but currently utilizing the kit available for $7.89 (by UPONEW) and do not notice a change in image quality.

I do have a similar product on my lens, some images look great but sometimes they look a little off in areas and cannot work out if it is this lens protector. If I know the lens has good scratch proofing I would remove it!
I scratched my rear camera lens within weeks of owning. Only a tiny scratch even though I have a decent case and have tried my best to look after it. Pictures are unaffected. You can get a new lens for very cheap online so I'll probably do that if it gets worse.

I worry about the lens protector I have on and picture quality, certain areas of my pictures always look a little blurred or lower quality. Is this a focus thing on camera settings or the screen protector do you think?
The only thing I can suggest is if you still have the second lens protector ( the link says 2 pack...) us to take a bunch of photos In various lighting, then remove the protector and take the same photos again so you can compare. You can always put the spare protector back on afterwards.
I don't know how, but the glass cover for the rear camera on my Play is cracked. It's not disastrous for the images, but it is noticeable.
I just checked with the local repair store and they don't list the Honor Play as repairable :/
Does anyone know if the lens cover is the same as any other Honor/Huawei models, or where I can get a replacement from?
Thanks.
You might want to try Aliexpress.

Hi, I sadly cracked my back camera glass, i dont know how but it just happened, i think i'm able to repair by myself but i don't want to loose my warranty so i'm planning to send back to Xiaomi assistance but i don't really know if they will charge me a lot...you know glass is glass (it costs 2$)...my question is: Should i go throw assistance?why? Or do it by my self and void the warranty?(will be void?)
Looking at the back of my mi9, it seems very similar to what I had on my previously owned redmi note 5 ai: the back lens cover is a simple piece of glass that has a thin black double sided adhesive with holes to accomodate the lenses on the back of it. When my redmi note 5 lens glass cracked, I gently broke and removed the rest of it and was able to remove the broken glass and adhesive remains completely and apply a replacement lens glass that cost me close to nothing on aliexpress. It worked great after the repair. If my mi9 glass would break, I would do the same and would never send it to be repaired as the hassle and cost are unnecessary. Think about this and decide for yourself. Good luck!
Edit: a quick search on aliexpress found it for less than 2 USD and it as I expected. See photo.
Very helpfull answer, so how i can remove the glass without open the phone (how you finish to break the glass)? And how to clean? Alchol? Ill attach a pic..
As we know ultra has big camera island any idea to protect them? I saw some special etui but its looks bad imo. Maybe some tempered glass? Is tempered glass not disturb the operation of the cameras? I don't feel confident to put my phone down, I'm always afraid that I will scratch something
I think if you put extra layer of glass on top of cameras you will get extra light reflection in some situation.
protect it. I got my cover on ebay.
A plastic film/glas protector will alter the light hitting the sensors for sure and make it worse
Also, Mi11 Ultra have Laser autofocus, not sure how that will be working with extra glass or film on top of it.
EDIT: seams like there is no laser autofocus...there is DualPixel Autofocus: https://petapixel.com/2021/02/23/samsung-unveils-new-50mp-sensor-with-next-gen-dual-pixel-autofocus/

maybe someone will release a rear screen protector with holes for the camera, it doesn't seem hard to do
