Hi there,
am I right that there is currently no solution for Android 8.1 based Customer Rom for Mi Max 2 where the echoing-issue occurs? Does someone knows a Custom ROM where this Bug defintely not occurs and where fastcharge is working?
Currently Im using Xtended v10 coz it's the only one where fastcharge seems to work pretty well, I tried a few ROMS, but in this Rom I'm facing the echo-bug. :/
Whenever I have a phone call people complain about hearing an echo (their own voice).
Even with headphones plugged in, this occurs.
Any idea?
thanks
Try havoc os dude, fast charging support
But idk, i think its to low microphone for me
This is best room for mi max 2, i guess
But that bug need to resolve

install kernel adiutor app from playstore, go into sound control options there and reduce microphone gain step by step until your calling partners cannot hear any echo anymore

Hi everyone,
I'm experiencing problems with the volume of my microphone when I'm in a call.
The persons at the other end of the call can only hear me very silent.
The problems are only exists with the standart phone app, when I'm using a third party app (like sipdroid) my volume is fine...
I'm using Cyanogen 7.0.3 on my Nexus One
Is there a fix for this Problem?
With the stock ROM I don't have this problems but I need a ROM with trackball wake because my power button fails.
I can't RMA my Phone to HTC right now, because I'll be not at home in the next three weeks. Therefore I need my mobile phone with me.
I'd use an other ROM which has TB wake support and no microphone issues but at a quick glance through the forums I couldn't find a suiting one.
Thanks for your efforts to help me
hey, i have a similar problem but i noticed that using different kernel affect the microphone. I'm a noob to this so im not entirely sure if kernel is related to microphone.
Well basically im running miui rom 1.5.6 right now and i was using redstar kernel 38.4 and then i upgraded it to redstar kernel 38.5. Then i called my girlfriend and she could barely hear me. Then i reverted back to 38.4 and she hears me now much louder but not the clarity isn't as good.
You using DT a2sd by any chance?
Damn, my phone froze today at work and I had to pull the battery.
Now I can't power it on again due to the not working power button...
Battery trick doesn't work either.
So I guess I have to take the bitter pill and RMA it right now.
Holy sucks! What's the battery trick...just incase.
Can anyone suggest any 'good' solution? kernel or otherwise to fix this $#@$# 'bug' of low in-call volume in Nexus One??
Would really appreciate all the help!
If people hear you very quiet - look up the mod to disable noise cancellation. If the problem will disappear with noise cancellation disabled - it means your 2nd mic is faulty and needs replacement.

Nope, people hear me well. Its that I cannot hear well. Specially in traffic, I usually tell them that I shall call them back
Any help?
Look up Gingerbread volume control app in Development forum. It can override the system settings and make the volume much louder than the maximum stock, AFAIK.
Thanks, but this app is not working for everyone AFAIK.
Hi All,
Ive been running Cyanogen Mod for sometime now and its frustrating as the External Speaker volume is low, I go back to stock and its normal.
Ive tried a few apps that ive read in threads, but yet haven't been able to fix this, Does any have any info on how to get this back to normal volume, Music is a little low, but ring tones are very low compared to stock.
Cheers

Latest CM or PA have the low call volume fixed, also using Yank555 kernal with the re-vamped boeffla engine solves any low call issues.
Hi All,
this is my first post on XDA

Volume fix walk-thru
Hi,
I've tried and tried using different custom ROMs on my S 3 GT-I9305, but I still have the same problem.
I'm getting extremely low inbound call volumes - I can't hear the other caller speak. It's especially bad when I try call-recording, which I need for my job. I've tried volume fix apps too, they don't work.
I understand Foxhound has a built-in call recorder for their S4 rom, but that won't install on my phone right?
So I'm left with trying to fix my favourite ROM, LiquidSmooth 2.9.
Can someone please walk me thru getting the right kernal, installing it and any other steps?
Hi,
I'm running the PAC man rom on my I9305 and I had the same issue with sound. I flashed the AGNi kernel (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2339848) and now no more sound issue and some interesting tweaks to improve battery life.
Is there any way to get both the mic working on xiaomi mi3 during a call with loudspeaker on. On every rom for mi3 except miui and ivan aosp build, the other person is not able to hear clearly during a call when loudspeaker is on as only 1 mic which is situated at the top edge of the phone works.. So kindly provide a fix for this issue
MI3 had this issue but was sorted out to certain extend. It is SW glitch rather than Hardware.

When listening to a WhatsApp Voice Message via earpiece (i.e. proximity sensor) and another message arrives or any other notification, the audio is routed to the louder speaker for few seconds (length of notification audio) then routed back earpiece. So everybody around will hear that audio message.
This is extremely annoying is privacy disaster . Is it happening anyone ? Does anyone know how to solve?
Phone: Xiaomi Mi 5
All roms are affected (even AOSP ROMs)

It's a WhatsApp bug as far as I know. They should stop playback when a notification interrupts a voice message. Contact their devs.

Thanks a million. Let me know of u come across any fix/workaround. Not sure why Xiaomi users (maybe Mi 5 only) don't really care about this issue. IT IS REALLY SERIOUS!
I've exactly the same problem now with my Mi5s. But I'm sure it's not a problem only for Xiaomi phones. Before this, I've used a Oneplus 3 and other phones in the last 2/3 years and always with this same problem. I don't understand why it's so undiscussed.

I was 99% convinced it's the phone's kernel or phone related issue .. now that's more confusing
@XiaoMi Mi 5 users, is any of u using any ROM (Stock, AOSP, LinageOS .. etc) not affected by this issue? Pls help us understand!!
I'm using stock Redmi Note 4 (out of box config) with latest whatsapp version. This problem is killing me
Xiaomi mi a2 Lite. Same issue here on WhatsApp.
Also on FB messenger, the audios are only playing via loudspeaker and not earpiece. This is so bad... It's not happening to my brother who is using a pixel XL.
After flashing and trying all the roms for android 10 I've noticed there is a issue with incall volume which is very low . I am unable to here the person on the call .
Anyone else facing the same issue ?
Is there any solution for the issue ?
Note : Facing issue in Android 10 Roms.
I'm also suffering this problem.
Even with max volume set my calls sound very quiet and distant, barely audible.
I've tried PE Rom and currently using Arrow Rom, both have the same problem.
Any fixes out there?
Cheers.
I'm facing the same issue on Arrow OS. Has anyone found a fix for this?
