Hi. I need help please. After reading some topic about flash stock Roms I have ventured to change the firmware to my note 8, because I got xsg / xsg / xsg, from emirates arab states or something like that. It came with version 8.0.0 but I prefer to have Spanish or at least European. I have flashed with odin I think 6 or 7 times already. with sim inside, without sim, with active em, deactivated .. with hard reset after installation .. I have even dared to put the pit that, as a partner said that it had gone well. And always finishes flashing well, in pass, and restarting the terminal after installing the firmware. BUT I DO NOT HAVE TO CHANGE THE REGION, AND ALWAYS GOES OUT XSG, XSG, XSG .. I'm already desperate, and that's why now I have to ask for help. I do not know what else to do. I have flaseahdo another version, Spanish oreo, but not the last, and the same. Any charitable soul? Thank you

Some of these official firmwares contain multiple CSCs. If you don't have a local sim card for one of the other regions in there, then it will always default to XSG. Unless you are rooted of course, in which case you can flash a csc-changer zip or a custom rom that includes one. Otherwise you need a local sim, or you can flash a different firmware that isn't multi-csc (which will change your CSC to ???/???/XSG, where "???" is the region csc for that specific firmware you just flashed).

@sefrcoko has the answer you want.
There are various firmware sites available. In this instance, I am going to recommend Updato.
Follow this link and download the firmware for your Region/Carrier:
https://updato.com/firmware-archive...r=AMO,PHE,XEC,ATL&order=date&dir=desc&exact=1
Perform a factory reset on your device. Flash your preferred firmware using Odin.
XSG will still remain and the only way to change the CSC will be to root your device and change it yourself.

Thanks for answering. I have an orange spanish Sim. What I need is that all the functionalities that should have the note 8 work in Spain, like samsung Pay. And for that I need to have a Spanish csc, right? What should I do? I do not want to lose the samsung guarantee? Thank you

Thank you for answering. I do not care if I put xsg, but I need to have samsung pay working here, and at the moment I have not got it. I have already flashed several official roms from that download page. Spanish free, German, French, UK .. none has changed anything in my note 8 and I still do not have samsung pay. What I can do?

The CSC for Spain Orange is AMO, which I believe is not included in the multi-csc firmware for XSG. So using your orange sim wouldn't trigger that particular csc, because it's not there to begin with.
If it were me, I would download the latest Note 8 N950F firmware for Spain Orange (AMO) from updato.com, sammobile, or the SamFirm tool and flash in download mode using latest Odin. Use all four firmware files in Odin (with the 'csc' file, not 'home_csc'). Be warned, this will WIPE your data. Make backups and read-up first if not familiar with anything. Your CSC would likely become AMO/AMO/XSG. I don't use Samsung Pay so not sure what's needed or if this will work for that, but it should at least give you that Spanish Orange CSC, and this is stock firmware anyway so it will not trip Knox, etc. You could always flash XSG firmware back again if something doesn't work out.

As you said, I downloaded the latest AMO firmware from samfirm and installed it with ODIN. I no longer have the Emirates XSG, but I do not have the Orange Spain AMO either. I do not know why the FTM version of Orange France has been installed. I have seen that the CSC and PDA files are identical to those of AMO, but I do not have Spanish Orange firmware. What can be the reason? Is the file of the samfirm servers wrong? I do not know how to prove it. Thank you

Hmm not sure, in that case maybe the Spain Orange firmware is also multi-csc then, but with different countries that the UAE firmware and it defaults to FTM? Strange though, as it should still switch to AMO with your sim card... maybe try one of the csc-change dialer codes? Not sure it will work but worth a try. Otherwise maybe remove sim, factory reset, then insert Spain orange sim? Just grasping at straws here now...
He descargado la Rom AMO directamente de Sammobile y veo que es diferente de la que descargue de Samfirm. Estoy flasheando, a ver si ahora se instala la AMO de verdad

Hi guys,
I'm thinking about change my Note 9 (Brazilian version) firmware for a non carrier branded firmware in order to get rid of the carrier's bloatwares and also to get more often and recent updates.
Currently my device is running the following configuration: Current Version (when I try OTA update) N9600ZHS1ASB2/N9600OWA1ARK1/N9600ZCU1ARK1, Baseband N9600ZCU1ARK1, Build Number M1AJQ.N9600ZHS1ASB2, Service Provider Sw ver SAOMC_SM-N9600_OWA_ZTA_00_0025 ZTA/ZTA, ZTA/ZTA.
I've noticed at Sammobile that the Brazilian not carrier branded version of Android 9 Pie was just released two days ago.
As I run every one of my devices in English, the language of the firmware doesn't matter to much.
I would like to know what firmware versions I can put on my device without messing with the Knox "fuse". Can the ZTO version available in Sammobile be flashed on my device without any problems with Knox?
There are any other country firmware that I can flash on my device without messing with Knox and that could bring me OTA updates more often and in a more timely manner?
If any of the above mentioned options is viable, can someone help me with flashing in order to me get it done right? I already used Odin in the past, so, I think that just a brief explanation of what files are needed and if exists some kind of think that I need to pay special attention on the process (for example, found somewhere on internet someone that says that there are differences is the device is wiped or factory reseted after the update or not).
I really appreciate if someone could help me.

Pode fazer que não dá problema nenhum em trocar pra ZTO.. lá no sammobile do lado direito da pagina de download da firmware, tem os passo a passo do Odin.

I´m Brazilian too...
You can install Pie rom ZTO from sammobile using HOME_CSC if you dont want to loose your files, but I never use HOME_CSC when I change to another Android version...
You will not to loose nothing.
Hi, I want to change my CSC to AUT/AUT/AUT/ZTO (I've read that you can't change the last code...) to get faster updates.
I live in Brazil (ZTO) so I'm doing this just to get updates faster. If I flash via ODIN the newest firmware using CSC instead of HOME_CSC will I be able to achieve AUT/AUT/AUT/ZTO and get OTA updates?
Will it trip Knox?
Will I ever be able to return to ZTO/ZTO/ZTO/ZTO? Thanks!

Normally no need to worry about the last part(ZTO). The main thing for you to get AUT. So if you flash regular CSC file it will wipe your data, but HOME CSC should not. I always used CSC file when flashing firmware. Try to see if you can get results you want from the first flash. In my case, I re-flashing 2 or 3 times to get what I wanted and used 3 different Odin versions. Normally after flashing, when you put your sim card in(on the welcome screen), the phone should see the sim and tell you if you want to apply carrier settings(do it) and phone will restart.
If you use official Samsung firmware, it should not trip Knox(never had issue with this)
You can flash your phone back to original ZTO firmware, when you need to.
In my case, I have S10e(single sim) unlocked(XAA) - US version. When I first put my sim card in, the phone applied carrier settings(T-Mobile) and became TMB/TMB/XAA, but the firmware was still from unlocked model. After that, I flashed T-Mobile firmware onto my phone and got features that T-Mobile branded S10e has.

I think you may have a Chinese version of S10+. I think they have 2 CSC versions: TGY which is Hong Kong and CHC which is Open China. Find out which one you have, TGY or CHC. I don't know for sure, but when I searched online, it shows that Samsung Pay is supported in Hong Kong.
HI everyone,
I have a G970F/DS that has come with XSG firmware and I am trying to change the firmware to XSA
According to the image here https://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-s10/how-to/g973f-g973n-multi-csc-firmware-t3903050
For OXM multi CSC
SM-G970FXXU1ASAT-G970FOXM1ASAT
SM-G970FXXU1ASBA-G970FOXM1ASBA
The XSG is in the OXM multi CSC and XSA is in the single - I do not know what this means exactly.
I have tried
Using the *#272*IMEI# code with both IMEI codes, but i do not get a menu after typing it in
Flashing with new firmware from http://updato.com/ with Odin with the sim card in and out
Formatting the device using recovery mode with the sim in and also out+putting it in after
Using Odin to flash VD2 firmware and then back to the OXM firmware
When I flashed VD2 I got VD2/VD2,VD2/XSG in the software information but this went back to XSG/XSG ,XSG /XSG after flashing the OXM firmware
The sim card I am using is an Australian one from Optus and Odin is 3.13.1
Nothing seems to change to XSA.
Am I doing something wrong or is there something else I need to do?
Thanks

I don't have a Singapore Sim but I will see if I can get one to try with.
Do I need to reset the phone with the sim in or will the phone ask me when I put the sim in if I want to reset it?
Which IMEI is best to use with 272, does it make a difference?
Thanks for the suggestion

WORKED PERFECTLY on my S10!!!
Changed CSC code from ZTO (Brazil retail) to ZVV (Vivo) after flash CHT firmware (from Chile).
I don't know why, but 4g+ from my operator (Oi - Brazil) doesn't work on ZTO -- br retail (it gets only 4g), but in CHT/ZVV it works 4g+ flawlessly!!! Despite Vivo's logo, I'm so happy!

Once you flash a Multi-CSC and your active SIM is within the said list then it would restart and make the changes.
So if you want to move to a different CSC then just use a different SIM that has the specific you need.
Hi
I bought my note 8 SM-N950F years ago at Singapore with Singtel. My current CSC is SIN and now i wish to flash a new firmware (Malaysia XME). I followed all the procedure online, i downloaded XME frimware from SAMFIRM and flashed with odin. But in the end, im just like factory reset my phone and the firmware still is SIN instead of XME. I had been using SIN firmware for years with no problem, the only problem is my samsung pay was locked in Singapore. Yes i can install and open it, but the UI and function was designed to use in Singapore but not Malaysia.
Please Help.

Sorry you can't anymore because the bootloader version (bl ver.) "7" in N950FXXS"7"DSG1 won't allow you to downgrade to a lower bl ver 6 or lower.
You now have to wait for firmware N950FTIM6DSF3 to get patched with July security patch from Samsung. Also since Germany DBT is the first firmware and Italy the 2nd july patch firmware you'll have to wait for others to catch up.
If you have any issues BACKUP your phone and do a factory reset!.

If you are on N950FTIM6DSF3 TIM (Italy) and want to keep data intact you'll have to wait for TIM to get updated, but if you want to be on the latest firmware from Germany DBT N950FOXM7DSG1 then you'll have to convert your N950FTIM6DSF3 csc to a multi-CSC OXM N950FOXM7DSG1 firmware which may or may not will erase your data.
You'll might have to flash the combination firmware to change the csc from TIM/TIM/TIM to DBT/DBT/(DBT or TIM not sure if this can be changed.) (BACKUP first this will delete data!)
The multi-CSC OXM doesn't support the TIM csc but it does support ITV csc (Italy). Before changing make sure you will not lose any Carrier specific features (etc. VoLTE, VoWIFI, .....) that you use.
Search for "how to change csc with a combination file" in google for more information.
