Thanks...will give it a try...
I have two Oneplus 5 phones(for me and my wife) and three pebbles - the steel, time steel and time round + one pebble time round for my wife (so total 4). I had pebble dialer installed before updating and it works (on the pebble steel). I installed pebble dialer on my wife's pebble round after updating to android pie on her phone. Pebble dialer on my watches and phone work. The only thing I cannot see is the contact picture on the watch. But when I call my wife's phone the pebble dialer doesn't fire up. It just stays on the watch face. I have phone calls disabled in the pebble notification panel and at first glance, the settings are similar on both phones. I have restarted both pebbles and both phones but for some reason, only my setup works.
Is there anything I could try to figure out any solutions for this kind of behaviour on my wife's setup/settings somewhere?
Thanks!
Mikk

I guess I am going to be one of the few people with a pebble watch and htc one, but the pebble app seems to screw up the shortcut icons on the lock screen.
i can no longer drag the icons up, but instead tapping on the shirtcut icons will unlock to the app instead. this may seem more convenient but it also screws up the camera shortcut, which takes me to the screen to enter the password for a couple of seconds before loading the camera app (instead of directly loading it) and also the buttons for snoozing the alarm seems to act as unlocking the phone and also dismisses the alarm instead of snoozing.
i tested this, uninstalling the pebble app and issues go away. reinstalled and paired up my pebble and issues return.
bit bummed at the moment about this.

Have you informed pebble about the problem with the app?
I'd love a Pebble!
I agree, get in touch with Pebble and see what they suggest.
Have you checked your accessibility settings? I know the Pebble app enables the Pebble service as an accessibility service. On the GS III, this leads to the phone reading out the number of the home page you are on - i.e. turns Talkback on in this case even if it is unchecked. This is actually a bug in the implementation of the Accessibility service by Samsung, but shows up because the Pebble enables it.

thanks, no talkback is not turned on. only the pebble app is.
I have just sent them an email, guess will have to wait to see what they say.
thanks for the replies.
I have done further testing and this seems to be an issue with HTC.
rajeshr seems to have been right about the accessibility settings. if i don't have pebble app installed and I just turn on talkback the same issues occur.
not sure if this is a bug or "feature"
I just got my Pebble today and have this same issue occurring on my AT&T One. Looks like it's definitely tied to the Accessibility service portion of the Pebble app. I know there were some weird issues in the past with the Lightflow app and the accessibility service on some Android phones as well. Sigh.
Not sure if this bug is from HTC's side or the Pebble's side. Guess I can try contacting both and see if I get any response.
Desktop notifications has same issue when Accessibility for that app is activated:S More likely to be a HTC bug then?

I'm having the same experience with my GS4. Turning on Pebble setting turns off a bunch of the GS4 new innovative features and also turns on Talkback (even though it's not checked off in settings). This is extremely frustrating especially since it took so long to get the Pebble watch in my hands.
Just bought a Galaxy Gear yesterday...I would be very happy with it except no matter how hard I try, I cannot get the notifications to work on a consistent basis. I am ready to bounce it against the wall. I can turn the notifications off and on again in Gear Manager and it will notify me but then not again. Can any one offer any suggestions? I am up to date; the Gear is v. V700XXUAMK7 and the software on the Galaxy Note 2 is JDQ39.V700XXUAMK7 and has 4.3 Jelly Bean.
My notifications where very inconsistent until I figured out that I needed to use a modified version of the stock messaging app to get it to work correctly.
The modified version has a check box you can set to never turn the screen on when a message comes in and that version works perfectly. As long as my Note 3 screen is off when a message arrives using that version of the stock messaging app I get perfect notifications 100% of the time.
I have never been able to get the notifications to work right with any other messaging app (IE Handcent) so I stick with that setup and all is well.

Thanks but I was already using the stock messaging. I just feel like there is something simple I am missing...this is so sketchy with the notifications. I am not 100% convinced that I did not just get a bad device.

Don't fret. I spent three days trying to figure that out and took two watches back to Bestbuy. Even the Bestbuy people could not figure out what I was not getting my notifications aftwr I spent 2 hours in the store with them trying to figure it out. After my third watch and one day being on the forums someine happened to mention that your watch will not receive messages unless the phone screen is off . . . . LIKE DUHH!!!!
I had to change settings in handcent for my notifications to get sent to gear

Hi
Does anyone else have problems with notifications? For me they work for few hours and then they stop working and only rebooting the phone fixes it.
It happened to me today...
Non of notifications alerted on my gear 2....
Restarting the gear, no change, restarting the phone... the notification is back
I do have notification but I don't get any details about it, no preview of the messages at all, just that I should check details on my phone... ridiculous! they do it on purpose...
I have found that I only get notifications on the Gear when the phone screen is on. If the phone screen is off, no notifications except Gmail.

Yep, having similar issues, however I get the notification on the phone, however it doesn't vibrate for all apps, behaviour is very inconsistent. I have emailed samsung support but am not holding my breath

With the new gear manager update i seem to be getting my notifications more consistantly, but also, like you, have lost all detail to them. Only the fact that I got a notification and what it came from (text, email,...). It no longer gives the text or email body.
I would love to hear if someone has a fix for this.

I'm getting exactly this issue.
Hopefully we'll see a fix for this. I'm sure Samsung is right on top of it.
:/
The issue is you updated galaxy gear manager.
There is a new setting in it to control it the notification has a preview, or just to tell which app gave the notification.
Seems like this setting only works for tizen os.
I updated to tizen using these instructions and all works again.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-gear/help/how-to-properly-flash-tizenmod-t2886991
(kies3 wasnt recognizing my phone) .
Good luck.
I didn't feel the need to update to tizen. I liked android and my watch styler. But preview of messages is a necessity.

Weird. That option has always been available
I dont rememeber which thread i got this File saprovider , all you have to do is Force close GearManager , then uninstall Saprovider "settings > application manager " then install the one from link.
this should fix everything , stop battery drain and make it works as it should be, notification and media control ... etc
Just incase , stop auto update from samsung app market.
Tried the saproviders.apk mod, and it still didnt bring back complete notifications.
All WhatsApp notifications show as "WhatsApp" instead of the senders name, which is kinda useless.
Cant stop Gear Manager from updating, as there is no option.
If you hit cancel, it will exit. If you hit update, it will update even without samsung Apps, as it's updating independently now.
I know this because I don't have Samsung Apps on My phone.
yeah its damn force update again and mess up everything again
I'm getting notifications, but no popup on my gear. They show in the notifications app on the gear, though. Sad days...

Pretty sure you have volume set on priority only
After some searching around, found it.
It's a lollipop feature called "interruptions" which allows you to decide what app notifications can interrupt you. I had apparently set it to custom. I set the default back and the star disappeared.
By the way, when I say I haven't installed any apps, or I'm confident that it's not my apps, it's not an app.
That is the priority notifications only icon. See here. Check which one you have selected.

It's like an alarm feature. Only notifications from the people you've prioritised will show.

How it works......
You set days and times that you don't want something to happen, phone calls, texts, notifications. Example.... I have mine set for 7 days, 930p-630a, to only allow starred contacts to call or message me. If someone not starred messages or calls me, my phone will not ring, allowing me to watch movies, sleep, whatever, uninterrupted.
Sent from my Nexus 6
Do this;
Star the contact for your wife, parents, etc., and NOT your boss. Set downtime for nights and weekends. Now your work can't bother you at night or on weekend.
Admin or OP: Please change the thread subject.
Well, I went back from 2.0 to 1.5 as most of us, it was more like a downgrade than upgrade: many features lost, disappointing battery life in general, assistant not working properly or taking too long, etc
I read the news about 2.6 the other day and say: why not? Let's try it.
Did a full restore, flashed original 1.5 files, and let it update on his own for around 1 or 2 hours. The watch restarted several times during this process.
IS IT BETTER THAN 2.0?
Yes, at least for me.
Everything is the same, same options, same screens. But the performance is quite better:
- With 2.0, assistant did not work for me outside a wifi network. And when it did, the time for response was reaaaaally slow. With 2.6 assistant work without any problem.
- with 2.0 I had 25% battery left at the end of the day (12~14hrs aprox). With 2m6 I have 40% at the end of the day. (with 1.5 like 60% but well, it's a quite know problem the battery drain).
Aside from that, everything is the same.
Hope this post helps anyone out there still using his LG G Watch R
Hi,
Thank you for this feedback.
When you say, "everything is the same", do you mean the same than AW2.0 or AW1.5?
Are we able now to switch off the screen with a double tap on the side button?
Are we able to accept calls and reject calls with a predefined SMS?
Are we able to access to the drawer apps with a simple screen swipe on the left?
Are we able to see missing notifications in the background of the watchface?

Nope, but I use AutoWear: create floating icon, profile for double tap on it: enable tether mode.

Not sure about what do you mean... Hmm... If you have missing notifications, when you turn screen on, there a kind of 'popup' icon on the bottom than indicates you the last missed notification. Also a counter of missed notifications.
Hope it helps!
Wear 2.7.0 is out now.

You just have to update android wear app (v 2.7 now) on both phone and watch
Since v2.6 there's a connection status indicator (see the Bluetooth logo on my 1st screenshot)

I installed and activated Hangouts on my phone, then installed the wear version on my watch. Now I can send SMS messages directly from my watch without my phone by using to a wifi connection. I haven't found an email client that I like, but just being able to send an SMS is a big bonus. The LG G Watch R is still one of the best looking android watches out there. I also switch watch bands that are made for the Huawei Watch 2. If this watch had NFC I wouldn't even look for something new, I'd just change the battery when it gets weak.
