is this huawei p10 emui update fake? - Huawei P10 Questions & Answers

Hello
Few days ago my google play store account has showed the emui update (2,9 mb) for huawei p10. Interesting, when Huawei corp. has begun upload their updates on google play store? If updates, normally appears inside the phone.
I guess, this update looks as fake. Is it true?
That is a link of this update

This is an update for the update app. Not fake.

as @nmlng said, it's real.
Huawei uploaded their apps to the play store years ago for better update possibilities, since they are too lazy to make frequent system updates.

Anyone ever installed Google Play Store on Chinese Phone?

Just purchased my Mi Mix Pro, but noticed on an XDA thread there is one supplier who ships the phone with Google Play Store pre-installed. I did not order from this supplier, so was wondering if I will encounter any difficulties/conflicts installing the play store apk myself. Longtime flasher, but not sure if the phone will be able to be rooted right away, so I'm hoping it's no more involved than installing an apk from unknown source. Has anyone done this with any other Chinese branded phone?
Don´t Worry.
Don´t Worry luckily we have the Goole Installer.apk for MIUI . Just download , copy to phone and install .

I have had two Xiaomis (plus some iPhone Chinese knock offs) and installing Google Play is straight forward as it sounds: grab the apk, install it manually, good to go. I had some problems with the GPS in the first Xiaomi I bought, like 3 year ago, but it was an old MIUI build and it finally got it working by just rooting and replacing the GPS data to global, about 5 minutes time.
So, don't worry.

Just download this google installer apk, install it, and let this apps working.
You can also install from Xiaomi's own store straight from the phone which always works better with all the frameworks. Just search for google installer.

Has anyone received the Google Assistant update yet?

I'm currently running Pure Nexus and like many/most custom roms it has GA enabled but the other 2 phones in my house are stock Nexus 6P's and neither have received the update yet. One I signed up for the beta program and it downloaded and installed the 7.1.2 beta but no GA. Then I read today that it'll be a Google Play Services update that enables GA across MM/Nougat devices so I updated Play Services to the latest beta and still no GA. So, what do you know, what do you hear?? My wife and son really want GA but want to stay stock. Their tired of me messing with their phones.
Running stock, no root. Latest GPS and Google App and nothing

I am enrolled in the beta program... Running Pure Nexus... 2-15...
I clean flashes the other day after thinking about switching Roms... And for the first time I did not have to revert the build.prop line to train the assistant...

Thanks for the reply. Kind of strange that a weekend ago Google announced it wound start hitting capable phone starting last week in the US first yet it seems no one has received the update.
I'm on a Nexus 6P, never rooted, in the Beta program with 7.1.2. I'm also in the Google Play Services beta program. I have installed the Pixel Launcher from APK but otherwise stock. So far no Assistant. Live in the US.
Still no assistant here either. Are we missing something, or has Google not actually released the update like they said they would? I don't know of anyone that has actually received it to this point.
It's a server side switch and in typical Google form, they are turning it on very slowly. These trickle rollouts of new features are ridiculous. Either it's ready for release or it's not. If it is, release it to everyone. If it's not, then don't announce anything until it's ready.

I have been searching for anyone who has had it turned on. I follow a FB forum as well where every little update usually gets posted. Nothing there yet either. Hearing of others getting it turned on would at least be encouraging.

Thats what I was thinking. A week ago the tech sites were a buzz with "Google Assistant coming to most 6.0+ phones this week". Then nothing. All week. I'm still wondering a full week later why the tech sites are almost silent and no one is asking "Ok Google, what gives".

Someone in the FB group received Assistant about an hour after installing the latest Google App beta APK. I just tried it. Probably a coincidence, but at least someone has reported getting Assistant.
Isn't this linked to the google play services apk? If someone gets it, wouldn't posting the apk give it to all of us?

You have to have the correct Play Services but Google still has to "turn it on" on their end. That seems to be what is taking so long. As long as your Play Services are up to date you should be good. I entered the beta program for that as well. Still no Assistant though.
Mine was activated yesterday, right around the time I updated to the 7.1.1 March security patch. Don't know if there's a direct relation though.
I just got it today, I had everything updated and it showed up on its own.

Yay:victory:
Thanks for the replies everyone. Looks like we're very slowly but surely on our way. Still no GA love for the 2 stock 6P's in my house yet.
Edit: P.S. I didn't start this thread to complain, I was just wondering if I was the only one not receiving the GA update. I can only imagine what a mind blowing amount of mega giga google flops of computing power it must take for what must be thousands (if not tens of thousands) of questions per second via voice, interpret it, then send the answer back. All within a second or 2. For the thousands or tens or thousands of users asking/interacting at the same time. Mind boggling. It's probably a very slow rollout to be able to keep up and ramp up for the onslaught until they get a full picture of what the new computing/server farm needs will be.
My Nexus 6 has it, my wife's 6p does not.

Just got it guys. Running LOs, Google app ver. 6.13.25.21, and Google Play Services ver. 10.2.99, location Kosovo. It feels great not to do so many workarounds just to have it
East coast rolled out 32GB.
Still Waiting as well
I am still waiting as well. February 5 Security Patch, Google(Beta) 6.14.14.21.arm and Play Services 10.2.98.
Like so many others I signed up for Play Services Beta, but unlike the others I never got a bump up (update), and Still have not received the March Security Update.
But I swear if I don't side load most things from Google I am the last to get them.

New Play Store Design

Hey guys, a few days ago I opened up my play store and it was completely redesigned. It now has a picture on the side, and has a white backround. Sorta looks like ios. What does you guys think? Do any of you have it?
It's the beta for android P's play store.

Um yeah, that's how it works.
Why would they make a play store app for just one software version?
It's only the updated play store app that was released with the P developer preview.

Am I the only one who has no worry about the gplay, because I've got rid of g apps and services?
Alright, I use yalp store, f-droid, apkupdater, apkpure, aptoide, blackmarkt... w/o any hassle.
No user name, no password, free like a bird.
I use aptoide but it's not safe.

HOW? I prefer google because they have a lot of support, and a lot of helpful features. Plus, they won't lose support for gapps as apps such as blackmarket can quickly lose support

Install Play Store and Google Play Services on China-bought Mate 20

Hey everyone,
I'm thinking about buying a Mate 20 in China soon and am wondering about any experiences with installing the Play Store and Play Services? There's a similar thread for the Mate 20 Pro here, stating that it works smoothly for most users: https://forum.xda-developers.com/mate-20-pro/help/google-play-store-chinese-variant-t3861639/page4
But since a few people seemed to have problems, I'd like to hear about your experiences specifically with the Mate 20 (NOT Pro).
Any tips are appreciated!
Dear XDAers,
I'd like to answer my own topic for all of you guys who search for this in the future:
I went to a store and tried to download/install Play Store on the device. While Play Store can easily be downloaded from the AppGallery, it wouldn't open, probably due to lack of the Play Services. Thus I experienced the same behaviour as described in the link above for Mate 20 Pro.
I purchased a Mate 20. The device I purchased actually came with Play Services pre-installed. After downloading the Play Store from AppGallery, it worked right away, completely hassle-free
So all of you looking for buying a Mate 20 in China and using Google stuff, don't worry, it works right from the box!
Good to know, thanks for sharing!

How can I update google play services?

How can I update google play services on EMUI 11 without downgrade?
HarmonyOS is for now only in China i read somewhere other countrys get HarmonyOS in Q2 2022 but dont know how much is that true. There is no way to get Harmony OS now only if you buy your phone in China and have China software on..In other case you just need wait

I asked about google play services, not the OS.
Our google play services never get update and for example, I can't cast from Youtube app to newer devices than my phone.
