Hey guys, a few days ago I opened up my play store and it was completely redesigned. It now has a picture on the side, and has a white backround. Sorta looks like ios. What does you guys think? Do any of you have it?

Um yeah, that's how it works.
Why would they make a play store app for just one software version?
It's only the updated play store app that was released with the P developer preview.

When you said android p play store, one could come to the conclusion you believed that andiod p and alinly andriod p is getting his play store. Get where I was coming from?
Am I the only one who has no worry about the gplay, because I've got rid of g apps and services?
Alright, I use yalp store, f-droid, apkupdater, apkpure, aptoide, blackmarkt... w/o any hassle.
No user name, no password, free like a bird.
I use aptoide but it's not safe.

HOW? I prefer google because they have a lot of support, and a lot of helpful features. Plus, they won't lose support for gapps as apps such as blackmarket can quickly lose support

So, I noticed when I go to the ALL part of the Play store, it shows pretty much every single app I have EVER downloaded. Is there a way to permanently remove apps you really don't want in that list anymore?

How do you think the new Google Play Store Search results on the web will effect the visibility/downloads of small apps.

I think it's great and I'm sure it will have an impact. The question is how much of an impact.
Will people search Google for apps now or will they go straight to the Play Store app? I'm not sure...
For me, I always look in the store app first, but then revert to Google if I can't find the app I'm looking for. Regardless, it's another way for developers to promote their apps - especially with how saturated the market as a whole is.
That's a very fast port! Good job, you have accomplished that which many big corporations have trouble doing. More power to you!
about google play store search
Yes its always having the issues with new launched apps which not getting new sales only because of top ranked apps.

I did the nuke-it-and-make-it-usable upgrade. This is my first, so please forgive me if I don't use the correct terminology. I used FlashFire and uploaded SlimRom, SuperSu, and mini-gapps. It seems most of the apps I try to install says its not compatible with my device. Some apps I know are supposed to be there, don't show up in a search. Also, it kinda leans like it's a phone instead of a tablet. This may be normal, not sure there. Someone smarter than me, feel free to chime in. Am I doing something wrong, or did I miss a step? I used the tool from RootJunky. They gave this forum a lot of props and said you guys are the go-to peeps. I believe I got my files from the mirrors here. Amazon Fire 7", 5.1.1, Thanks in advance...
You pretty much would have to install the APK for each app that you cannot download from the Google Play store, part of the reasoning behind this is because Amazon Fire isn't officially supported by the Google Play Store, thus some apps will be unistallable via the app store.
You can download the APKs here: https://apkpure.com/app?hl=en
All the APKs should work. Just one thing to note would be that in the future, you'd have to reinstall the APK whenever a new update arrives for your app.
Best of luck!

So, in the background its still an Amazon Fire? I guess I just assumed by doing the new ROM, it would get rid of everything Amazon. That's what I get for assuming . Thanks!!
Great question and thanks for the answer. This may not be related to the "505 error" but I noticed with apps like "Open Camera" that it says the device is not compatible, and now I know why!

I have since used apkpure and so far all the apps I have searched for has installed and worked pretty much like their supposed to. Thanks again!
Yeah, I had the same problem, particularly with "Google Play." Sadly, my local news channel app is not available there, but a lot of other apps I was having problems with were.
I've just got this phone and am very impressed with it.
I've updated to the latest OS.
The Play Store app says it's "uncertified" and some of my banking apps aren't working properly saying the phone is rooted, which it isn't.
Anyone else got this?
Yes, it is not a Google certified phone. Google Play Movies & TV is the first app I notice not working in my case. I hope Maze Alpha maker finds solution to this soon in their next update.
Edit: I confirm
now the maze alpha are certified with google

I can't load Google Now Launcher. Initially it showed up in the Play Store, but said "not compatible with this device". Now it doesn't even show up! Any idea why this might be?

Doesn't show up for me, either. Why fight it? Switch over to Nova. A long-popular launcher, still kept updated. LOTS of features!

I use the Rootless Launcher with bridge to get the look of the Google now / Pixel feel.
Can confirm, currently running Google now launcher on LG V40 from third party app store after searching for apk online. No flaws.
Almost positive
Pretty sure Google says they'd be phasing out the now launcher about a year ago, so if you didn't download it then then you're outta luck
Tried them all
And in my opinion, CPL is the best!
