Hello all together,
I don't know how to root a smartphone and I have unfortunately only a netbook with Windows XP.
How can I root a Motorola Moto G5 (Android 7.0) and a Gigaset GS170 (also Android 7.0) perhaps with Magisk without to need using a computer (because my netbook has the old Windows XP)?
If it's not possible to root one of these smartphones with Magisk: how else can I root them?

I don't know if there is anyone who can help, I've never had this much trouble rooting one of my android devices. I don't know if it's because of the Droidboot Provision OS or I'm doing something wrong. But I've tried everything from one tap apps to using BAT files and Kingo Root. But nothing has worked. My asus memo pad 7 LTE is running android 4.4.4 and is proving difficult to root.

Helium Backup desktop app on my Mac acknowleges my device but the Moto X Pure (non rooted) does not seem to acknowledge it. It seems to be a know issue on Moto devices (problem with ADB on the moto side?):

Any Motorola device - Helium is NOT available to Motorola devices. This is because Motorola phones have a bug that break Android's backup mechanism. Until this is fixed by Motorola, Helium will not work on those Androids. You can download Helium manually here: http://download.clockworkmod.com/apks/Backup.apk If you find that Helium does work on your Motorola Android, please notify me.
Moto MDM is no longer up to date and does not work. Has anyone been able to find a work around?
I used helium to backup my g4 and restore to my moto x pure. I had to change to ptp mode for a sec if I remember correctly. Using a PC though
I have the above unit and I'd tried iRoot, Kingroot, iRoot+Kingroot, some chinese root application, all failed to root my android system. Is there a better way to do it?
hello guys I need some help with my MOTO E4 PLUS Model XT1772 device, well what happens is that I install root with a TWRP recovery and it worked perfectly but after using it for a few hours enjoying my root access my device restarts and it is very annoying will there be any solution for this? I hope so because it is necessary to have root on my device
so can someone give me a good tutorial on how to root this phone?
