Everytime I try to add a lock for my phone (screen lock), it crashes the Settings app.
I did have App Ops blocking a lot of apps from accessing some permissions, but I have removed them from App Ops so they should have full permission, as well as AFWall, but I couldn't really change any settings in there because it required a fingerprint... so I uninstalled it, reinstalled and then applied the firewall (which blocked none of the apps).
I'm not sure what else I can do. There's nothing else being blocked, so it should work.
What I had before was 20180701 build of Resurrection Remix, but it had bad battery life so flashed 20180630 build without wiping data. The first time around, I was able to get as far as adding a pattern when adding a fingerprint, but it crashed and won't get past the first screen anymore.
This belongs more in that ROM's thread.

Hello, dear XDA users.
Yesterday morning (08/04/2016) I have tested some applications from the PlayStore.
Now I have the following problem: After some time (usually shortly after unlock) pops up a graph. This can only be removed by clicking and starts (originally) the PlayStore. Meanwhile it tries to launch a browser, which you can then cancel. This one I should install (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.quick.clean).
Well I tried to track down the malicious software. But the virus scanner offered can not really help here. Supposedly there is a PUA - a Potentially Unwanted App. (Android Ewind (Adware)
First, the file is: Search Service Version 2:00:51 my Oukitel K6000 be infested per Sophos can not remove and it seems in reality an original app from Oukitel to be..
Trend Micro means, it was up to "Calls Blacklist Pro" which I use without problems for years. Here also comes the Note: PUA - AndroidOS_SMsreg.AXBCB.
Can anyone tell what I've captured me as me?
How do I get rid of the back?
What apps can plant something?
Thank you in advance.
Your Dr-Kimble
Ok this can sound nooby but have you checked under settings>apps (all, running and downloaded section) for some apps that you downloaded on that day. Try uninstalling them if they are present. Many apps ask you to make them device administrator and refuse to uninstall. Check under Settings>security>device administrators for apps that shouldn't be given this much privilege (android device manager, greenify etc. are fine but a live wallpaper or a game is not). Check Settings>accessibility. Under services section, uncheck any suspicious apps (you can disable all of them, then enable them one by one to detect which is causing it).
And for the last, if you have developer settings turned on you can check process stats too.

Hi, I don't know if this is the right section, anyways a few time ago I enabled developer mode on Android auto for curiosity, but after that when I navigate in the music apps, included Google music, I get this message "suspended for security reasons" and the app ui voices of the menus get grayed out and cannot be pressed during the message. After the message disvanish, i can navigate again in the menu and play music but after a few seconds if I scroll down or touch anything the message kicks in again. I tryed deleting app, data, the cache and the apps themselves but nothing seems to work. Deleted cache also from the stock recovery. Look like is something account related, I dunno.
This happens in every music app, from playstore or not.
My phone is a Samsung s5 ktle g900f, non rooted, with android 6.
The system apps I use are package disabler, button mapper, es file manager pro, Adguard, MacroDroid, nova Launcher and tesla, Swiftkey, Tapet.
Before I enabled the developer mode everything worked like charm.
Any solution?
I've got lastpass installed and have chosen to use the accessibility option as I want it to fill the forms in chrome, however the option in accessibility keeps disabling on it's own.
Anyone know a solution?
Wish I did, having the same issue. Seems to only occur after a restart though. I normally switch it off at night and let the alarm switch it back on in the morning.
I changed the app launch settings to manual in the battery menu to fix this

I changed the setting in the battery menu to "manual" but it still keeps disabling several times a day. Does anyone know is there's a fix?
I have a Mate 10 Pro and I have usually been getting this issue after a Huawei software update.
Old thread I know, but the only solution that has always worked for me is the following.
1. Uninstall Lastpass
2. Restart your phone
3. Install Lastpass and enable all the functions you like, including draw over other apps, fill helper bubble etc.
The options at least for me stay enabled until the next update. Without doing the above steps, they will just get auto-disabled after a few seconds.
Hi,
My S10e's battery went flat an hour ago, so I plugged it in and turned it on.
When I went to use it, I had a notification to "finish setting up your phone, copy data..." so I thought it must've installed a new update.
Here is the weird part. It hadn't, but Facebook, Game Launcher and a few other apps popped up in the app drawer. All these apps had been disabled since September. Also, the app drawer now contains a work section at the bottom which essentially replaces the secure folder app. I can't open any of the secure folder apps and the icon for SF in the notification panel has moved position and lacks a descriptor beneath it.
After first turning it on, I checked the settings and it had(and still has) the April version, but it started downloading the May version which I haven't installed yet.
All my secure folder apps are still there, but the correct password comes back as incorrect, so I am unable to access them. To add to the ****ery, the reset password option tells me there is no account under my e-mail address.
When I tap the ""finish setting up your phone, copy data..." notification, nothing happens.
What is happening?
My guess is that there's a bug somewhere or something has gone wrong either software or hardware wise. Updating to the latest firmware either via Odin or OTA might help. Doing a data factory reset may also fix it as well.
So I’ve discovered when trying to use apps that use the display over app function crash instantly and I can’t find anything else where online. Does anyone else have this problem? Any suggestions would be great thanks I don’t want to return the phone but I use some of these apps for work.
What apps? Because some time ago Google made changes to how this works and apps must ask user to grant them permission to draw over other apps.
When upgraded to a newer version of Android, permission was not removed for already installed apps. But on new device, you most likely have to grant this permission after reinstalling your apps (and if you used old apps that do not check it this permission is granted, they will crash when trying to use it).
You can manage this permission in Settings > Apps > Special access (I other language on the phone, so can't say what exactly this section is called in English)
So I'm using octopus for customer keyboard mapping for some of my work apps. But I also have modded among us for custom servers and both apps crash even tho I'm granted permission.
