Hello I mean the watch is very bright, it never dims, I have miui 10 globally stable. Sorry for my English

I was just wondering if anyone has a fix to this or anything, or if it's just an amoled problem. When I have the screen brightness turned down, all the blacks on my screen turn an ugly brown color. Is there anyway to make all blacks overall more black? Thanks

Mine look black. Just a dirty black. You sure you don't have the SLCD version of the device?

I just double checked to make sure, and it is in fact amoled. I guess what you're calling "dirty black" is what I'm talking about. Compared to my g2x lcd screen on low brightness, everything on the nexus is brown and the g2x is simply black. Its not that big of a deal but its one of those things that is annoying me lol. Is there anyway to modify this that you know of?

This doesn't sound right. My understanding of AMOLED is that blacks literally won't even light up (which is why dark backgrounds help save battery power). Each individual LED is individually lit up. If there isn't any color on the screen, it won't light up. My blacks always seem black, no matter what the brightness of the screen is.

For example, look at the status bar (gingerbread) while you change the brightness, for me as the brightness goes down, the black starts to have a slight brown color to it. Or is my screen just screwed up? Lol its not like its major, its just annoying compared to g2x

I don't notice that at all on mine. It stays as black as it was when on full brightness. Does it still happen when all the lights are off in the room?

How well do you know your fifty shades of grey? Rate this thread to express how good the HTC U11's display contrast is. A higher rating indicates that black is true black, rather than a very dark gray.

Ultra deep blacks, almost Amoled-like, quiet impressive for an LCD screen.

Mine has a reddish tint. Setting the colour temperature to the coldest possible setting only minimizes the tint.

I think this isn't quite accurate. I came from an Amoled to the HTC U11 and it took me a week to get used to the colours. At first felt very washed out. However now it's fine now my eyes have adjusted.

No, not at all.
There was on the firsts HTC 10, but not a single one on HTC U11
You can control color saturation with custom kernel to be closer to amoled, this is what I used to do with my previous HTC

Mine has a reddish tint as well when screen brightness is low. Did you solved this issue, or did it go away by itself like htc 10 users were reporting?
Thanks
Mine has a reddish tint too when the brightness is under 80-85%, and almost disappear at full brightness. Is there a fix for this?? I should sent it to warranty?
You don't want to give your significant other yet another reason to yell at you while you're reading XDA in bed. Rate this thread to express what you think of the OnePlus 5T's display minimum dimness. A higher rating indicates that the display can get extremely dim, ideal for reading in very dark environments.

Can get very dim indeed. Hard to be legible underneath dim indoor lighting.
did they fix the agressive auto brightness?

The screen is good for the price and I didn't really notice it's 1080p. Although I had 4 cause I had uneven tints. That's more of an oled lottery than oneplus

To be fair Samsung do the best screens so it will look better side by side with any other screen. I think the oneplus 5t will fair a little bettwr against it
Hi! In my opinion, the minimum brigthness is pretty much bright. I usually read in my bed and I have to use 3rd party apps like Twilight to decrease more the brigthness. I'd like it to be much darker. The maximum bright is perfect.
The minimum brightness is too bright in my opinion.
I have to use twilight in night
I just noticed that my Mi A2's screen is a bit yellow-ish than any phones that we have (S8, Redmi Note 5), which has blue-ish screen. Is it just my phone or should the Mi A2's screen be more blue-ish? Or is it a factory defect?
Night light is turned off.
I think it is your eyes defect. All screens should have a calibration near 6500k. Blue light damage your eyes.

My friends also noticed that my Mi A2 has warm screen color than his. I just bought the phone and I want to know if this is a factory defect so it can be replaced immediately.

Did u get a warmer or cooler screen?
In low or dark ambient light the screen seems to have a pinkish or red tint when viewing the panel to the side. I don't remember seeing this on the N20U. Anyone else?
Very common in phones in the past year. Either green or red tint in low light. My 8pro has a green tint at low light levels and there's many reports from many makes and models of phones of this.
So probably normal. Just didn't seem to be a bright or white as the Note 20U.

Im not sure it's "normal" more that there's something going on with the latest Samsung panels. Is the N20U 120hz? I think it's something to do with the refresh rates because OLED TVs suffer from "raised blacks" at 120hz. I think high refresh rates mess up gamma levels in OLED.
Yes the Note was 120 but not qhd
Do you have a screen protector installed? it could make this tints worse, also don't forget this issue is only with "cheaper" displays, i don't think Samsung uses that kind of "cheaper" displays in flagships!
I did remove the factory protector and it did seem to make the panel slightly brighter. The pink only shows up in low ambient light with the screen at100% and really only then if viewing it at an angle. It's slight but haven't seen this on the Note 10, Note 20 or s20.
Are you using 120hz? On the note 20 ultra this cause slight colour shifts...
Yes 120 and qhd although not at the same time on the Note.
I don't see pink tint in my s21 ultra.
Exynos version
How does the white balance in a dark room with the screen cranked up seem? Warm or cool? It's not as bright as the Note so maybe that's what I'm picking up on.

This is the reason... Sadly every device with 120hz has either red or green tint issue :/
Well that is unfortunate then.
Yes to pink tint! Exynos
no pink for me USA model snapdragon
Same Pink tint problem. Exynos. Don’t need 100% brightness. Just at white screen and slightly tilt it. And pink tint appear.
Same as 13:20s in this video
So it sounds like it might be normal for these panels then and the 120 hz as mentioned above
I just turned the white balance one notch to cool and it seems to eliminate the pink and then into the advanced and then the red down a bit
