In an attempt to use my locked AT&T HTC One phone on my T-mobile service I used the Cyanogenmod Installer to root my HTC one and hope to use it on the T-mobile network; I also unlocked the bootloader via HTC website. The newest Cyanogenmod is installed (11-20140417-NIGHTLY-m7) and wifi is working, etc. Unfortunately, no phone calls since it keeps asking for SIM Network unlock code (I bought an unlock code...not working). Any suggestions? What should I do? I did some research and I read something about using an RUU...is this a good solution? Thank you all!
Status of phone on bootloader screen is:
S-ON "TAMPERED"

No luck the phone they're referring to is the HTC Amaze it seems.
Does successfully installing Cyanogenmod "unlock" the network as well??

No, bootloader unlock and sim unlock are different things. You'll need to be on the stock rom to input your sim unlock code.

And that's what worked. Thanks!
Hello,
I (still) have the same problem here. I have a DHD that was locked and branded. I followed HTCDev's procedure to unlock the bootloader and installed a Cyanogenmod ROM (unofficial 10.1) two weeks ago that works great. I've been trying to get my phone unlocked for days with no luck ever since.
I've tried using the HTC unlock tool v. 0.9.5/4 and rooting the phone too. Nothing. Drivers are working fine; program executes as expected, but I still have a locked phone after it finishes. I got an unlock code that I enter after booting and I get a "successful network unlock" message, but the radio seems to remain off. I cannot place calls. Attempting to choose a network operator manually from the settings menu fails; I get a "mobile network unavailable" message when doing so (service providers list does not even appear). I've read threads saying that the only way to get around this is by reverting the phone to its original ROM and HBoot, but I've read elsewhere that workarounds on branded phones shipped with Gingerbread or Froyo (like mine used to run) fail and/or screw up the phone, so I have not tried that. Any ideas or pointers?
Thanks!
Saw someone said that there's no difference between the cdma version of htc 510 and the gsm version. So I think it can be sim unlocked just like the htc one m7/m8.
Here's what I've tried.
First unlock bootloader at http://www.htcdev.com/
Then root the device as this post:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/desire-510/general/how-to-root-htc-desire-510-t2951744
Then following the htc one unlock procedure as this post:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2586704
Since 510 has 4.4.2, so a modified HtcOMADM_SPCS is needed. That's where I got stuck. The modified file shared on the forum causes vDM client crashes, and no API pop out.
Any ideas?
I have the same issue. any ideas?
you have S-OFF ?
This device has lots of potential, maybe we should offer a bounty for this.
Hello Guys,
I just lost my phone and a friend of mine gave me one that he is not using anymore because he did not know how to unlock it so he bought a new one. Now I have that phone and it happens to be an HTC One M7 from Sprint, it is running Android 5.0.2 with HTC Sense 6.0, Software 6.23.651.10. I booted in recovery mode and it says it is Relocked, S-Off, Hboot is 1.61. Also, there is one option that says simlock and if I click on it then it says SD init fail (within the recovery mode menu).
The phone is rooted, I managed to do it via Kingo App and I just need to get it working in another GSM network, I have been looking for information about this but all I have found is info for when we were back in Android 4.2.3 and tried to go with it but it does not work.
If anyone can please help me find a solution so I can unlock this phone I would really appreciate it.
I have an Unlocked Verison HTC Desire 626 and I am using it on Metro Pcs and paying for Hotspot but the phone wont let me use the hotspot and I am wondering if anyone else has encountered this problem before and could possibly help me get it to work
If the phone is running stock android 5.1 or 6.01 from Verizon. VZ has in the firmware to disable the hotspot service on the phone unless you pay for the privilege. This is why PDANET would work on the Desire 626 i have from verizon.
is there anyway to root it. i have yet to find a apk to root the os
You can get it rooted via "http://theroot.ninja/" . I did my HTC Verizon Desire 626 thru this service , only problem it is not free ($25.00).
You get root access problem is there is not ROMS such as Lineage or any other ones for the Verizon 626. You run Titanium Backup with root access or any other app that allows root access.
I am trying to enable dual sim operation on my z3 play. I bought it unlocked at best buy. I did some research and found this thread:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/z3-play/help/moto-z3-play-dual-sim-t3842136
Tried it and it did not work. It was making my IMEI 0, and both sims refused to work.
I have since upgraded to Pie PPWS29.131-27-1-5. I really need to get both of my sim cards working on my phone, and would like to know how can I get this working.
I've seen other guides that require you to edit some files in the root directory, but is it still possible to enable it while on Android pie?
If not, is it possible to downgrade by flashing an older stock rom through flashboot commands?
