1)I've updated to Oreo (weekly updates, not stable from xiaomi.eu) and I usually fixed my ghosting problems with "color changer pro" setting rgb to 215 (255 max) but now I m not able to run it in background, when I turn on the device again I need to set color changer again. is there any similar software or way to mod screen colors?
2) i have deleted software thermal control on 7.0 but on 8.0 I don't know how to delete software thermal control because Oreo don't use the same files as 7.0 and those are missing
If so, how did you do it?

This zip file contains boot_debug.img that enables adb root access. Is it possible to flash/boot that boot img without unlocking the bootloader?
No idea, i stuck at edl mode right now, need bit help from asus tech

The downgrade firmware in Android 12 Beta page actually is a raw firmware

But the actual .raw file is not included so no go to fix bricked zenfone 8
So I can't play with it in case of bootloops we aren't able to restore it back :/

My settings: fingerprint > screen off unlock > hide
Pick up phone to show indicator > off
Tap screen to show > off
After update to the new FW, I can unlock the phone with my right thumb, but not with the left one. This worked before the update. I tried adding a new fingerprint, but it did not help.

That's not exactly what I mean, you can see video below that pretty much explains my issue:
What I noticed, that delay is about halfed if I use standard Asus launcher, but it's still too slow. With Nova launcher it is as in the video.

I'd like to point out that Magisk Canary officially supports Android 12 since 23010. 23016 commits included AVB fixes for Boot Image Header v4.
Hi @Steve0007 Would you know if the global versions of the phone are compatible with ColorOS? I personally feel Oxygen now is half-baked and their ColorOS is a well efforted software with dedicated attention from them.

Is the Google Play service package installed in rom ColorOS 12.1 A.07?
This is tasker / macrodroid macro that lowers AOD / Ambient display brightness
Installation:
Unzip file
Extract any 2 profiles for your application of choice (tasker or macrodroid)
Import these 2 profiles to the app and enable them
To control the AOD brightness, edit intensity of extra dim in settings > accessibility
Requirements:
Rooted
Tasker or Macrodroid accessibility permission enabled
How it works:
The macro sets extra dim to ON when you turn off your screen so your AOD brightness will be low - when screen is turned on (even on lockscreen), extra dim is set to off and normal brightness is restored
This was tested on Poco F3 - Android 13 - CrDroid v9.5 but it should work on all android phones
