UPDATE: Based on below responses, it has an emulated/pseudo 'AK09918' gyroscope, instead of a real hardware sensor.
Anybody who actually has the physical device with them, can you please confirm if the V11 Pro has a gyroscope sensor? It is not mentioned in GSMArena, and the sensor is missing on the V11 Pro website as well: https://www.vivo.com/in/products/v11pro
You can check using this app (or any other suitable app) and send screenshots to help everyone.

Yes it does have gyroscope. Tested out on the app mentioned. Sorry but for some reason couldn't upload screenshots, as getting "bad request" error on xda app.
Psedu gyroscop? What does iy mean? Ist half gyro or fake gyro or what? What does Psedu gyroscop mean?
Screenshot uploaded for u. Now give us its gyro information too. Lolz

Ok. This means there is not a real gyroscope sensor. Changes in angular rotation are approximately measured using a combination of accelerometer and magnetometer. Probably why the resolution on your screenshot shows only as 0.1.
My current phone (Xiaomi) shows a BOSCH gyro unit with a resolution of 0.000532.

Just seen this website that has a really cool app for the iPhone
http://dynolicious.com/index.html
It's basically an Acceleration Tracking device using the accelerometer in iPhone. Would this sort of software be possible on the Diamond?
Thats looks good, however im not sure how accurate it would be, as its probably using the GPS to measure speeds which only update once a second.
On the iPhone it uses the accelerometer, not the GPS.
However the Diamond doesn't have an accelerometer, only a gravity sensor so I don't think it could be possible.

Actually - I think that you'll find that the Diamond does have an accelerometer?

A gravity sensor is an accelerometer but an accelerometer is not a gravity sensor..
The Lightsaber app clearly demonstrates that the Diamond has an accelerometer. The only thing an accelerometer does is measure G-forces, so if you hold it still, it will measure only one: gravity. That's probably why you're confused.
So you think that the G-Sensor inside the Diamond can be as accurate as a real accelerometer ?
Shaking Head...... Sigh......!

Ha Ha Ha. You beat me to the thread. I was thinking of posting a thread about this. It looks like a very cool program to have.
Hi! I'd like to know which applications can exploit the galaxy s gyroscope (or better 6 axis accelerometer). Not the applications that requires normal (3 axis) accelerometer, but only the gyroscope. Are there any games/applications that really use this new technology or at present gyroscope is nothing more than a normal accelerometer? Thank you very much!
Bump. Does the galaxy s even have a gyroscope?

I had found that...
Hello everyone!
Creating this thread in order to clarify some details about our device.
I recently bought it (Europe version-xt1085,3Gb RAM/32gb) but instead of a SD625 it has a SD626. How is it possible? And giving the fact that there are rumors that also note that our camera sensor is a Sony IMX 258 Bayer and not a samsung CMOS makes me doubt much of the initial information provided or found. Can somebody please post different screenshots from the first page of CPU-Z and also to check system/etc/camera for camera msm Sanders XML for those who have the device rooted? I do not want to root it yet as Oreo updates are rolling in a couple of days.
I also want to find a solution to exceed the limitations of the software processing of the camera to the full potential of the sensor (if it is a Sony one indeed).
Thank you
Also take a look at the attachment.
Ok
SD 626 too
Mine also says Snapdragon 626, it's a CPU-Z bug. But regarding the camera sensor I have no idea if there's any way to improve the image quality via modifying the image processing.

Do you have a XT1085 or XT1084?
And could you please pull out the files i requested?
The ones in the camera foldee that write Msm sanders or so. The ones who show the real camera sensor.

I checked with different applications. You might be right. It is very odd tho.
What about the camera files?
If you go to Moto G5 Plus's theming and modding forum, you'll see a thread explaining how. And how it gives rise to possibilities of other devices as well.

I just checked the file. It shows S5K8L3 which unfortunately is a ****ty Samsung CMOS sensor. I don't think there is much to be done with this sensor. We're ****ed.

Wow that is so nice! And nostalgic. Its been a few years of my absence. I am back with this device now and it is intriguing me a lot to develop again. Currently waiting for the Oreo update and then I'll do my full research on the device.

Are you sure thats not the selfie cam? Pretty sure the dual camera has been 100% confirmed a sony sensor already
(Link) This guy contacted moto directly and they said it was the IMX258 / IMX258 Mono

You can see clearly the name S5K3L8 as the rear sensor (mono&rgb). And at the other screenshot, the name S5K4H8 which is a selfie samsung sensor. You can google both of these sensors and their details are going to match our device's details.
There are also two files of the IMX258 in the camera folder but they're useless or maybe they put it to fake the users who, like me and many more, would be pissed off if they found out what a crap of a sensor they would have in their device.
The dev of the camera improvements of G5 Plus told me that the only way of improving it is by copying the tuning of other S5K3L8 sensors used in other devices. But it is used in Xiaomi Redmi 4 and its camera is worse than ours so i don't think that is going to be a good idea. Another way actually is by modifying the libs yourself. Which i cannot do at the moment.
Just use Google Camera for taking pictures atm. Its HDR+ mode is a touch of magic.

The only way to confirm properly is to look at the hardware. Any idea where we may be able to find images of just the Samsung camera module so I can compare it the the one in my G5S+?
To be honest I'm very happy with the way my HDR+ photos turn out.
My family are convinced this has a better camera than the iPhone SE from using gcam, so the phone must be somewhat capable of good photos Low light photos are crap though, tons of noise.
EDIT: Samsung specs say the S5K3L8 sensor is capable of only 30fps. Given we can record 1080p/60fps maybe it isn't that sensor?
That's strange, my g5s plus can only shoot 1080p/30fps. I don't know if it was after the latest camera update or not.
Edit: my mistake, apparently i was looking at the front camera settings. The rear camera can shot 1080p/60 just fine and are up to 30fps 4k

The samsung sensor is capable of shooting 4k videos but it is not enabled in most devices that are using it. For example in Xiaomi Redmi devices. I do not know precisely why and how but any speculation would bring no improvement to the camera whatsoever.
Hello I am wondering if mi a2 has a step sensor. If somebody has the phone but is unsure, you can check all the devices sensor with this app called sensors list(can't link it cuz i have new acc) , thanks in advance guys

There is no step counter sensor like that and that app won't display it. On the other hand, such a sensor is not needed because Snapdragon's Hexagon DSP present in Snapdragon 660 is always on and used for that.

Should be in the Android API. Google Fit uses it.
Edit: Maybe start here, and here's an example of how to get it done
ayy thanks, step counter is apparently a "virtual" sensor in hexagon, once again thanks for help :good:

Is it possible to got the Google camera software on the Red Magic 3 WITHOUT ROOT?
I'm seriously considering buying this phone but I want to be able to take great photos.

You never need root for Google Cam. You only need someone to make it work with the device.
So far, no luck.
But, the camera is already great. It has the same sensor as Oneplus 7 pro and that phone is one of the highest on the dxomark list:
https://www.dxomark.com/category/smartphone-reviews/
I compared the camera to Galaxy S9, and it seems to take better photos than GS9.
But yeah, Google Cam would make it even better.
Yes. U can use gcam for Nubia red magic 3. But 3 features not working

I didn't have watsapp. Why don't you point it out from this website?

I am using the xiaomi mi9 port that is in the google camera thread in XDA. It works well.

Do you happen to have the apk exact name? Also, are you using a config file?
EDIT: I tried both apks in the MI9 thread with two suggested config files.
I only shot in a dimly lit indoors scene, and the results were horrible (both 48 and 12 mpx.) Difficulties to focus. Noise was so bad, I've never seen anything like that before.
By comparison, the stock camera was like night and day, so much better.
I am using the following apk... GCam-6.2.030_Arnova8G2_Urnyx05-v1.8.apk
I also get better results with the stock camera, but I was assisting in the thread. Also if you look at the OnePlus 7 pro they have some exposure settings that do assist with the dark results.

No fault of your own, thanks for the extra info.
What do you mean "they have some exposure settings" though? Some kind of a config file?
Also, it seems like unless someone buys the phone and sends it to Arnova, the Google Cam may not really come to fruition for this phone.
At the same time, I'm well satisfied with the stock camera app. It just doesn't have the same processing power as the Google Cam at preserving detail.
