I want a little help from the community. I recently unlocked the bootloader on my Mi5 and flashed twrp and then installed cm 14.1 on it. Now I want to revert back to stock miui 8 that came with the phone. How can I do this? Can anyone help me out?

Take a look at the download section of MIUI.com
They have 2 versions, 1 to flash via TWRP or other recovery's and 1 to use there flash tool.
You can choose what you want in there.

Is it so? I've undestood that you can't flash orginal miui rom with twrp but you have to use miflash instead. But you can flash eu rom or any other custom rom with twrp.

I flashed the fastboot rom through mi flash tool, but it didn't boot.
I'm just referring to this: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=70197250&postcount=508
It seems that you can't flash at least nougat miui with latest twrp.

I haven't done it so maybe I'm not the best advisor. But there is some discussion of it: http://forum.xda-developers.com/mi-5/help/how-to-revert-cm14-to-miui-t3516986
Specially the last reply.
But as far as i understand, orginal miui rom needs to be flashed in fastbood mode with miflash. Eu rom can be flashed with twrp.

Hmmm, you guys are right.
I had a link about flashing from recovery, but that was only if you already had MIUI running (v7) and you wanted to upgrade to 8.
My bad, sorry.

Just make sure to backup everything, since flashing using fastboot mode will erase everything including internal storage.
only TA-1003!!!
if you are using TA-1000,you have to flash this before.

You can choose the one you like, both xuefer and mine will boot without a problem using "fastboot boot recovery.img".
If you have any problem just contact me!
Many thanks for the answer, I will use yourTWRP, being xuefer's TWRP is still in alpha status.
Tried iscle TWRP today, with no success. The same problem as desribed by fendetestasxx in that TWRP thread.

Yeah it seems like my twrp gets overwritten by the stock one in the official miui builds... you can use xuefer recovery if you want, it works very well as well.
Edit: as I just said in the TWRP post: If you are using the STOCK MIUI ROM, you will need to remove the file "/system/recovery-from-boot.p" using the file manager inside TWRP or otherwise it will get replaced with the stock MIUI recovery.

Flash the full fastboot ROM and yes TWRP would be overwritten.
Providing it is STOCK TWRP and not any port with features such as (agressive stock recovery disable)
