hello everybody!
i bricked my Mi 8 like other thousands of users flashing global rom since chinese rom (i selected "clean all and lock" by accident).
I have been searching for a solution for weeks now but it seems that the only way is to get an authorized account to be able to bring back to life our devices.
It is redicolous that we have to pay to unlock our phones, anyway, i am searching for people with the same problem to buy multiple accounts for cheaper.
any answeres are much appreciated.

You really have to. EDL cable doesn't work. By the way it looks like the guy I quoted in my previous post has set a web to charge for the service, sad. You can write him anyway and see what he answers.

yeah i contacted him and he sent me the link of the website, he basically provides the same service like s-unlock.com, just for cheaper, about 16 euros. I will go for that, it is the only solution.

The difference is that EDL authorization doesn't require to open the phone.

In my cellphone says "This MIUI version can't be installed on this device"
And when i will flash a new rom in Miflash says "Erase boot error"
In MiPCSuite have some error when i try to recovery...

Of course, yes, i'm brazilian.
You need to open your cellphone and do the TESTPOINT for enable the COM PORT on your computer, the EDL mode. The next move is to flash with Miflash program and will ask you the ID verification, this ID only developers guys have.
But, they charge a value to do this service, which is to only authenticate on your computer, I have the contact of it if you want I can pass you, is a Brazilian.
I paid R$90,00BRL

I am just as suffering from being fooled into purchasing a locked smartphone. But, I received a lot of help on this forum. I thank everyone. Mostly thanks to @NikSalsa MOD EDIT:link removed for the attention and support :Boa:. I believe one of the goals of this forum is to promote help, solutions and problem solving. And in this way fraternal actions arise. Something rare today. About services charged I think fair, as well as donation that I will make for sure. I hope that the willingness to help and recognize the help will not be extinguished.

Hey, I had the problem that my Mi8 China version with Global ROM was brick. After spending hours trying to test some of the possibilities and guesses of others. Unfortunately they all ended without success.
So i have addressed MOD EDIT: link removed under Telegeram. If necessary it is also reachable via Whatsapp under MOD EDIT: number removed.
He has explained with the steps what I need everything and after everything was downloaded it takes barely 5 minutes and my Mi8 started again.
Of course you can try all the instructions online or contact @remote_repair98 very fast.

This reboots my unlocked Mi8 into EDL mode without opening the back.
Tool https://github.com/bkerler/edl (thanks to Bjorn) has edl programmer included that doesnt require auth for this phone (poco loader in matched automatically) and allows for programming cmds.
You can either use this QDL or QFIL to download required firmware. Only stock firmware will boot if bootloader in locked.
Perhaps this will help someone.

hello my device has been bricked for a year now i think could you help me im not a total nooby but is it possible to restore it it only goes into edl and xiaomi has locked my account i did flash + lock by accident ...

Unfortunately I have to blame myself but now my Xiaomi Mi8 has ARB activated and I have no recovery no fastboot no system.
Qualcomm 9008 loader is recognized on COM5 connecting usb cable to Windows 10.
I tried this:

I would like to donate for a remote Assistance to fix it, if this is possible.

Did the job 10 minutes after my contact and I paid after.
Before paying anyone. Give this a try.
Search for a file called: "Miflash no auth", or "Miflash without auth", and even with these words: "patched", "mod", "cracked", etc...
Currently, if you searched for the first sentence in Youtube, you could easily find the file I mentioned (MiFlash 2018.5.28.0).
Personally, I haven't tried this solution but wouldn't hurt.

This is the story i bought a redmi K 20 pro in chinese mi store, they flash the indian rom so im change to global rom and all works good.
But im retard so im relock the bootloader to let Googlepay work and this is how im brick my phone.
im already try some solution but im not find how to fix my phone, the phone can boot in recovery mode and fastboot mode.
If im try to install the china rom but Xiaomiflash show me error "erase boot error"

Put the device in fastboot and Use old MI Unlock tool and see if if it unlocks the bootloader. Post that you can flash the fastboot rom.

Just curious what happens when a unofficial ROM with lock bootloader ,the phone totally cant be used?

Read the above links again. Unfortunately they're all in English, so you may need to use Google translate to understand them fully.
You will need to open the phone to set it in EDL mode.
You will need to contact someone in Russia that has an authorised service account and pay him about €20
He will then need you to allow him to control your PC by remote desktop to flash your phone and unlock the bootloader.
All the information is in the above posts, including the contact details for the Russian guy. There have been a few people that have done this, so this works and the Russian guy is reliable.
There is no physical reason that this cannot be done by the Italian service centre. Maybe you could try to ask them again if they can take pity on you and help.

You're not supposed to relock the bootloader with anything other than the original software, even different regions of MIUI for example. Otherwise the device bricks itself.

Try an old version of Mi Unlock to unlock the bootloader. If that doesn’t work, wait for 5 days and try again and it should allow you to unlock.

I dont have my phone linked with that MIUI Account because the vendor sold it with pre unlocked bootloader and with official global ROM. Does old mi unlock support non linked accounts?

It is worth a try. Yes the unlock is linked to the account but i have seen people also unlocking it without binding the account. EDL flashing isn’t that easy because it needs an Authorized EDL Account to be able to flash the firmware. You can’t just put the device in EDL and carry on with the flash. So its worth a try rather than just sitting helpless.
Make a new MI account if you don’t have it till now. Hook your device and put it in fastboot mode and try the unlock with the tool. You might get an unlock instantaneously or for worst it might ask you to wait for 168hrs before you can unlock.

You will probably need too open the back panel to enter EDL mode, then you'll need someone with an authorised account to flash for you. A little bit of digging on these forums and you'll see many others have done this. There's a Russian guy with an authorised account, you'll find his contact details easily in the posts about this.
You'll need to pay him about $20 and you'll need to give him remote control access to your PC in order to flash an official ROM for you.

I have an authorized account binded at my laptop so the problem is to open it without pry tools or suctions even heat gun

Do you have access to a hairdryer? That seems to be a common tool people have used. You might need to risk something sharp to get the first opening, but then something like a credit card could be used to pry it open more. There are a couple of posts on how others have done this without proper phone repair tools.

I managed to hard brick my phone by trying to fastboot flash miui 10 on a miui 11 . So i had to open the back and use test point to get to edl mode. But now i cannot flash it using Miflash without authorized account. Can anybody graciously help me with that? I Thank you

Thanks already tried this one no luck i will try again though, did it work work with you? Regarding the authorized account, there is a special nlock tool which i saw some videos that it can bypass the authorization see below link might help you.

Never tried it. Pretty sure there was a couple of people offering EDL accounts on here with team viewer. Or have a look on Xiaomi eu site .

After making a few experiments, I am stuck in EDL mode because XBL partition was erased.
So I need to reflash the original ROM using EDL.
I downloaded MiFlash20210226 and it connects to my account but the it says I'm not authorized.
How can I ask for authorization and unbrick it?
I know that firehose on "sweet" is authenticated by xiaomi... and there is no way to use a modded firehose, becouse it is also signed.
Any help?
If anyone has an autorized account, I would only neeed it to reflash the stock rom.
(Or if you know how to get an even momentary authorization)
That's not xiaomi... but the usual people using a single authorized account and reselling it's use. I was asking how to be officially authorized by xiaomi. and who to contact...
have you tried XiaoMiTool ?, Its able to bypass account authentication to unbrick, flash and lock or unlock bootloader, google it and have a read so you know how to use it, id say its your last hope without going for a repair.
im in the same boat bud.... I've tried everything i can throw at it... nothing yet.. I have a guy trying to help me, but I'm not super tecchnicaly talented..

Contact russians or asians on telegram.. google for authorized xiaomi account... and they will solve it for a few dollars.

Theirs a firehose for note 10 pro n tools n steps at hiunlock com but got to register n pay a small fee
