Mi 8 bricked authorized account (s-unlock.com)

hello everybody!
i bricked my Mi 8 like other thousands of users flashing global rom since chinese rom (i selected "clean all and lock" by accident).
I have been searching for a solution for weeks now but it seems that the only way is to get an authorized account to be able to bring back to life our devices.
It is redicolous that we have to pay to unlock our phones, anyway, i am searching for people with the same problem to buy multiple accounts for cheaper.
any answeres are much appreciated.

Forget that sh*t. Write this guy and ask him to help you. He has already helped more than 400 people I think and he's doing exactly the same than s-unlock bast*rds but for free, just to help. You really have to. EDL cable doesn't work. By the way it looks like the guy I quoted in my previous post has set a web to charge for the service, sad. You can write him anyway and see what he answers.

yeah i contacted him and he sent me the link of the website, he basically provides the same service like s-unlock.com, just for cheaper, about 16 euros. I will go for that, it is the only solution.

The difference is that EDL authorization doesn't require to open the phone.

Guys, hello!! I bricked my Mi8 too....
In my cellphone says "This MIUI version can't be installed on this device"
And when i will flash a new rom in Miflash says "Erase boot error"
In MiPCSuite have some error when i try to recovery...
Please guys, i really need some help with someone, i can pay if is the case...

Of course, yes, i'm brazilian.
You need to open your cellphone and do the TESTPOINT for enable the COM PORT on your computer, the EDL mode. The next move is to flash with Miflash program and will ask you the ID verification, this ID only developers guys have.
But, they charge a value to do this service, which is to only authenticate on your computer, I have the contact of it if you want I can pass you, is a Brazilian.
I paid R$90,00BRL

I am just as suffering from being fooled into purchasing a locked smartphone. But, I received a lot of help on this forum. I thank everyone. Mostly thanks to @NikSalsa MOD EDIT:link removed for the attention and support :Boa:. I believe one of the goals of this forum is to promote help, solutions and problem solving. And in this way fraternal actions arise. Something rare today. About services charged I think fair, as well as donation that I will make for sure. I hope that the willingness to help and recognize the help will not be extinguished.

Hey, I had the problem that my Mi8 China version with Global ROM was brick. After spending hours trying to test some of the possibilities and guesses of others. Unfortunately they all ended without success.
So i have addressed MOD EDIT: link removed under Telegeram. If necessary it is also reachable via Whatsapp under MOD EDIT: number removed.
He has explained with the steps what I need everything and after everything was downloaded it takes barely 5 minutes and my Mi8 started again.
Of course you can try all the instructions online or contact @remote_repair98 very fast.

This reboots my unlocked Mi8 into EDL mode without opening the back.
Tool https://github.com/bkerler/edl (thanks to Bjorn) has edl programmer included that doesnt require auth for this phone (poco loader in matched automatically) and allows for programming cmds.
You can either use this QDL or QFIL to download required firmware. Only stock firmware will boot if bootloader in locked.
Perhaps this will help someone.

hello my device has been bricked for a year now i think could you help me im not a total nooby but is it possible to restore it it only goes into edl and xiaomi has locked my account i did flash + lock by accident ...
i tried cracked miflash tools other cracked tools nothing worked

Mi8 Soft Brick - Chance of revival?

Hello all,
I am sort of new to this, so please excuse me if this is an 'easy' question, but I am sort of freaked out.
I bought the Mi8 with the bootloader already unlocked and a chinese ROM.
Today I wanted to install the xiamo.eu Rom via twrp, however I faced some problems during this (did not boot properly into TWRP).
At one point I tried to use XiaoMiFlash to put a stable version of the ROM on it, however, apparently the standard setting in the program is to lock the phone again.
When I am booting normal now I only get into Mi-Recovery 3.0 since he apparently can not install this MIUI version on this device (that's the error message I am getting).
So I can not boot this ROM, but also have no open bootloader. I can go into Fastboot, but without unlocked bootloader it does not help me right?
Since the seller already unlocked the bootloader, I can not unlock it again as far as I understand. Is there any help for me or is my phone now just a brick?

What u choice ? "Clean all or Clean all & Lock" ?
Recomnd to Select Clean all,
If u select Clean all & Lock,
U phone is Lock and u need go to contact Xiaomi CS to help u out..

I did not see that you have to select something, but I realized in hindsight that 'Clean all & Lock' was selected by default. Thus my bootloader is locked.
You think Xiaomi CS does help? I have read that they have to grant you authorization, but I am not sure if they actually do it.
The other method would be the Testpoint method, there are some services there to remotely do it..
Not sure what to do yet!

That happened to me too, some months ago. Xiaomi CS will do noting at all. In my case I returned the phone back to the seller asking for the original global version I paid for, but it was a lengthy procedure. If I am not wrong a guy in 4PDA can unlock your phone. Just search the forum.

I bought my phone 3-4 months ago, don't think it will work anymore.
The 4PDA forum is fully in russian, so I don't think I will be able to locate him. If you have more info about it, let me know.

Update: Fixed with test point method and flashing CN rom (requires authenticated account for that - bought the russian service for that!). A pity Xiaomi does not give out authenticated accounts that easy (or allow easier unblocking of device).
Anyway, happy that it works now again, but unfortunately stuck with chinese rom (I think).

I actually have bought a NUBIA RED MAGIC 3 Europe model and after test I decided change the firmware to Cn because how you konw is more complete and better.
The problem has been that i´m traying to flash the GAPPS and I forget to do a Secure Copy whit TWRP Recovery and now, i have a importan problem.
After do differtent things with "ADB command" y delete my system, I think, becasue now i can enter to recovery mode, only acept "Fastboot mode" and never continue.
When I turn on, always go to "fastboot mode".
Can you send me a copy doing with TWRP Recovery that I could flash with ADB command???
I downloaded oficial CN and EU firmware ZIP, but, inside, it haven´t "system.img" for example and when I flash "Boot.img" and "recovery.img" I don´t get nothing.

I flash without problem "Recovery.img", or "boot.img" and other, but never continue, it came to "fastboot mode" .
I can´t enter to recovery mode, only "edload mode" and "fastboot mode"
What can I do?

Sakilxda. I have exactly the same problem. I just left my Chinese Red Magic 3 with a cellphone service centre to try an fix it. Another xda member besides myself had exactly the same issue.
I think these cellphones are very sensitive an have not yet developed a software support base.
The other xda member with a his unit stuck in fastboot mode tried to install TWRP like I did.
These cellphones are not for tinkerers like you an me who want apk gapps or TWRP.
The software support base for them needs time to mature.
Sorry buddy.

There is a fix i want to try in this forum. Getting my cell back from service center tomorrow or Monday. The problem appears to be the Chinese rom reacts to flashing an needs to be tricked into being fixed. I will share if I can do it

Read the forums mate. I cannot remember where it is but it's there. It's the Chinese version cells that have this issue. More an more owners are effected by it. Flash anything at all with a Chinese ROM an your stuck in an instant fastboot loop.
The member who fixed it is listed as a junior member on XDA.
That is total nonsense as he is way cleverer than me an I'm listed as a senior member

Hello good day, I bricked my K20 Pro by flashing the Mi 9T Pro ROM on the phone with clean all + lock method unintentionally, now my phone has locked bootloader and has an error that MIUI version couldnt be installed on this device, does the dewp flash cable work to enter EDL Mode or do I need to open back pannel and short JTAG pins ?

Try an old version of Mi Unlock to unlock the bootloader. If that doesn’t work, wait for 5 days and try again and it should allow you to unlock.

I dont have my phone linked with that MIUI Account because the vendor sold it with pre unlocked bootloader and with official global ROM. Does old mi unlock support non linked accounts?

It is worth a try. Yes the unlock is linked to the account but i have seen people also unlocking it without binding the account. EDL flashing isn’t that easy because it needs an Authorized EDL Account to be able to flash the firmware. You can’t just put the device in EDL and carry on with the flash. So its worth a try rather than just sitting helpless.
Make a new MI account if you don’t have it till now. Hook your device and put it in fastboot mode and try the unlock with the tool. You might get an unlock instantaneously or for worst it might ask you to wait for 168hrs before you can unlock.

I have a xiaomi authorized account it has been created since the age of dinosaurs. But i will try your methods and report back here. Better try than nothing

You will probably need too open the back panel to enter EDL mode, then you'll need someone with an authorised account to flash for you. A little bit of digging on these forums and you'll see many others have done this. There's a Russian guy with an authorised account, you'll find his contact details easily in the posts about this.
You'll need to pay him about $20 and you'll need to give him remote control access to your PC in order to flash an official ROM for you.

I have an authorized account binded at my laptop so the problem is to open it without pry tools or suctions even heat gun

It will just say the device is not linked with mi account i tried that a couple of times already

Do you have access to a hairdryer? That seems to be a common tool people have used. You might need to risk something sharp to get the first opening, but then something like a credit card could be used to pry it open more. There are a couple of posts on how others have done this without proper phone repair tools.

Okay i saw the test points, could I use led wire to connect them or tweezers? Like normal tweezers

BlackShark 3/3 Pro/3S unlock bootloader files.

This unlocking method was researched by myself, so I bought two machines to study it.
I know that many Chinese can unlock the Bootloader, but they are unwilling to announce it.
They charge high unlock fees to unlock for users in need. This is shameful,I don't like selfish Chinese people.
so I plan to publish it directly.
Let all users have the right to choose whether to unlock, I hope you like it.
How to use it?
Both BlaskShark 3/3Pro and 3S can use this file to unlock the Bootloader.
No need to pay high fees to unlock.
Enter the edl mode method 1: when the phone is off, press and hold the volume up and down keys at the same time,
insert the USB cable to connect to the computer to enter the edl mode.
Entering edl mode Method 2: Turn on usb debugging on the phone, and run adb.exe reboot edl in cmd to enter edl mode.

Unlocking the Bootloader through this method may cause the fingerprint to be lost,
and it needs to be recalibrated before it can be used.
Fingerprint calibration tutorial
Enter *#*#466349#*#* on the dial keypad
Will jump to the fingerprint calibration interface,
Then click 售后校准, you will be prompted to Put the FLASH FLA then click START.
Click Start first, and then immediately press your thumb on the fingerprint module, keeping the phone from moving.
Wait for this step to be complete, then it will prompt Put the black FLAT
You can use black things, or wrap your thumb in black clothes, and then press and hold the fingerprint module.
Then wait for the calibration to complete
The fingerprint module must be completely covered during the calibration process, otherwise the unlock rate will decrease
After success, restart the phone to re-enter the fingerprint and use the fingerprint to unlock.

I didn't realize everyone needs their hand held. It's called hacking for a reason. This bl unlock couldn't be easier.

So Im VERY new to this. Does this give me the global rom? Also do I need to backup my phone before? The phone is great but the issues with push notifications for certain apps on the Chinese Rom is just a pain in the butt.
Also Im on the bs3 12gb ram 128gb storage is there any different steps I need to take?

No, no rom included. All it does is unlock your BL. It will wipe the device too.

Nothing will brick man its just a file that patch the rsa keys blackshark’s servers verification when trying unlocking with the usual unlock commands and it unlocks a bootloader adb interface then you run the bat file and voila

Cool well I guess I will wait until the global rom appears somewhere. Need to change over because this not being able to use whatsapp properly is driving me mad.
Cant afford to pay to do it for a while so hoping it shows up online so i can do it myself.
