Because if the ROM (recovery) has been developed the developer has rights to post there work not another person if you have modified their work then it comes mods section

When you look into their open source release center, you can see that they started distributing sources for some of their updated phones (search for "android 7"), there aren't any for hi6250 devices yet, but hopefully they're soon to follow.
This is exciting, I don't think I have to explain why, hold your fingers.
They will probably took very long toh :/
I contacted support again and told them that sources for our device are outdated and they sent me this.
Dear Huawei Customer,
Thank you for contacting Huawei service. It is our pleasure to provide the service to you! .

Also some more sources for EMUI5 showed up today, so I think it's likely that we'll get new kernel.
Best news since I got this phone.
Why are you guys so happy about it? What will you do with the kernel source ?
On holiday in turkey and just got ota update to L31C432B370. Now on 380. Not rooted or unlocked. All went fine and no data loss. Running well after one hour. As it should be. Normally in Ireland.

Maybe Meticulus can do something with it if they release it. He's still working on LOS. He just don't relase the builds in here. But everyone can build it from he's sources. And maybe we can have a few modified emui kernel but I don't really care with that actually.

You absolutely no need to join group. But one of OpenKirin dev is in the group. The group isn't for discussing p9lite forums but to discuss rom development BEFORE its get even posted to p9lite xda forum (at least some of it). Not just rom too, but the latest twrp recovery by olddroid was uploaded there before here. Best part is live assistance if any error unlike here you hope someone sees your post and cared enough to reply. yeah, the group isn't just for "I dont need a special group to check zero threads about rom developing on p9 lite forums"
I wrote (30 Mai) to Huawei also...
But they didn't reply.
In Readme.txt they wrote:
Huawei Device Co., Ltd ("Huawei")is pleased to provide you the corresponding open source code of the device. If you want the code, please contact us with an email titled "Open Source Codes Issue" to [email protected]. Please note we may charge you the cost of physically performing source distribution like sending you a CD of the Open Source Codes, if you reqest. And the code download link will be ready soon.

And because of this, you will stop developing kernel? I think they deleted your thread because you posted a link to your telegram and they determined that it was advertising.

If you are lucky enough to have your BL unlocked, you can now install RR or OmniROM on your mate 20 pro!
I created this thread mainly for those who want to share their experiences with RR / Omnirom and report bugs.
Maybe this post will help those expecting more feedbacks or see what RR/Omnirom looks like on EMUI 9 before to flash it.
Screenshots are appreciated so don't hesitate to share them with us !
> Resurrection Remix OS 7.0.1 Beta 1
> OmniROM Beta 1
Click here if you don't know how to install it.
/!\ Things that will not work : 3D camera, Fingerprint reader, USB-C speaker (some have problems with Bluetooth on some devices tho) probably more that I don't know yet.
If you want to send logcat or need support from the team, you can also join their telegram group here
S/o to all the OpenKirin Team for their hard works !

It's very smooth but the fingerprint and face scanner functionality was enough to make me go back to the emui 9 ROM. Phone also seemed to run very hot. I will try again once new versions are released as I do love the ROM.

Lol this doesn't prevent the author to make an official post, since the Beta are out, it's normal to talk about it here, that's how a forum works.
Next time think before posting useless comment on my post, thanks
And forreal you call that a thread ? lmao.
There is no mention of Omnirom tho

Chill man & gtfoh.
Check the numbers of views he said lmao
A high number of views doesn't mean the content is good ?
I like to duplicate? Like i said there is no mention of OmniROM in the post you linked.
I just wanted to share the information with everyone and make a clean post about it but apparently there will always be a jerk like you to make a disrespectful comment lol
Do you know how a forum works ? people post news that already exists elsewhere..

From what i heard (havent tested it yet) the fingerprint scanner works, but the indicator isnt there
Any progress here? If we really loose Google services this becomes very important.
