Welcome to the new thread of twrp flashable stock Android One for Mi A1
There will be only stable TWRP flashable builds of stock with no modifications.
All these builds of mine contain everything which a fastboot ROM does, so it's a complete replacement.
How to install
1. Reboot to TWRP (CosmicDan TWRP is recommended)
2. Wipe system, data, dalvik and cache. (if coming from a custom rom) (you may skip if coming from stock)
3. Install the ROM file.
4. Reflash TWRP installer (if you want to have TWRP installed in your phone later).
5. Install Magisk (if you want to have root).
6. Reboot to system.
Additional Notes/Credits
Original credits go to Xiaomi and Google.

Hey, can you share how you get the full source? like from MI official site or from Google directly? Do you mind sharing how you able to find the direct link to the full stock ROM of October security patch for Xiaomi A1 global?
I can't find it in official MI and I like to "Take bug report" to locate the OTA link that it tries to download and manually unpack the payload.bin, but Magisk seems can't patch the boot.img

I just had payload file from official google OTAs which I decompiled using python codes and made a twrp flashable zip that just works well and yeah, I'll keep it up to date. You all will get TWRP flashable stock within a day of OTA release but only for stable versions.

I do get the payload.bin and able to extract the boot.img, but how you recompile into a full version? the payload.bin from Septemeber patch to October patch is 200 MB++ while the TWRP flashable stock you provided is 1.1GB, how you recompile it?

Payload bin from September to October is different from payload bin of October OTA as a full package. Also, I used kitchen + wrote updater script to flash it in A/B partition device (A1 in this case) using TWRP.
Too many people have downloaded the filee?
So you cannot access the file
Showing this on download page!!!
Yeah can you rehost this with another download link?
Downloading now!! thanks for this one bro. Plz always keep up-to-date this thread. And can u tell me which custom kernel should i use for better battery life with stock rom? any idea?
Please, uploud to another serwer - thanks!
Hey guys, I'm having major exams this week so I am not sure if I have any time to reupload. If someone has it downloaded, please mirror it for time being and I'll add it to OP.
What should i do to increase charging speed as charging speed on stock is pretty slow

It is fine for me. Same as in other roms. On a side note, if you want more than official then flash a custom kernel e.g moun/franco and manually increase it.

What is VoLTE
Requirement:
Redmi note 3 on Working VoLTE Nougat rom
Unlocked and with TWRP recovery
Instructions:
Auto (Limited):
1. Download Rom from respective thread and follow the instructions given there to flash it.
2. Download the "volte.zip" and "volte_ROMNAME_BUILDDATE.zip" from here. (check the rom name and build date correctly before flashing)
3. Flash "volte_ROMNAME_BUILDDATE.zip"
4. Flash "volte.zip"
5. Wipe cache and dalvik.
6. Reboot. Done!
Notes:
(i) Volte.zip is common for all roms, other rom specific zips will be based on rom name and their build date. This is done to reduce the bandwidth required to download patches.
(ii) If volte not working then download abhishek's firmware from here and flash it. Thanx to xenolith190 for pointing this out.
Manually (No limits):
Additional requirement: A PC with windows (can be done on android too but not included in this tutorial)
1. Download and flash the rom according to the instruction provided on rom's thread.
2. Download apktool and extract/setup in your pc.
3. Use File explorer inTWRP and copy /system/framework/framework-res.apk to /sdcard
4. Connect phone to pc and copy/move framework-res.apk to apktool directory.
5. Open cmd and cd to your apktool dir. And type following commands:
Code:
apktool if framework-res.apk
apktool d framework-res.apk
6. Open to /res/values/bool.xml in text editor (i use notepad++) and change these values to true
Code:
<bool name="config_device_volte_available">true</bool>
<bool name="config_carrier_volte_available">true</bool>
7. Type
Code:
apktool b framework-res
to build apk back.
8. Open new framework-res.apk from apktool/framework-res/dist folder and old framework-res.apk from apktool folder using a zip software like winrar.
9. Drag and copy AndroidManifest.xml and META-INF from old to new apk.
10. Same way drag this new apk to any of the rom specific zip available on this thread and flash as instructed.
NOTES: You need to edit bool.xml in framework-res.apk to enable volte option in rom. Rest of the required libs and files are present in volte.zip and is common for all roms. This tutorial may become more detailed, it completely depends on free time i get. I will not answer any question regarding this in personal messages. If you edit any rom's framework-res.apk please mention me and add that in this thread and i will add you to the op as contributor so you can maintain that rom's future builds too.
Thank you for understanding.

A Request to OP. Please make a patch for any 7.0 based Rom with OMS commits so that we can enjoy substratum also.

"Hey everyone,
Here are the latest open beta builds for OnePlus 3 and 3T.
Release notes
Launcher
Improved search tags in App drawer
Added "New installs" category tag in App drawer
Improved app list for hidden space and toolbox
Camera
Optimized switching between front and rear camera
Multimedia
Added capability to scrub/seek through AAC audio file timelines
Please keep in mind that this is beta software. These builds are sometimes not as stable as our official OTAs generally are. By installing this update, you accept the potential risks.
And please remember to tell us about any bugs you may find using the bug report forums, found here. https://forums.oneplus.com/feedback/
Please note:
If you have already flashed an Open Beta (you are currently running the latest Open Beta) you will receive this new build as an OTA.
If you are not running open beta software and would like to, please refer to the flashing instructions and the full ROM found on the downloads page here: http://downloads.oneplus.com/ (requires full data wipe before updating from stable to open beta)
Once you migrate to the Beta path, you will continue to receive Open Beta OTAs. You will no longer receive the regular Official Stable OTAs.
Moving back to the Official OTA path from the Beta path will require a full install and clean flash (FULL WIPE of all data and cache)
Please note that this is the last open beta for OnePlus 3 and OnePlus 3T, we will provide a stable version of OnePlus 3/3T for beta testers to migrate back to stable version of OxygenOS later this month to ensure beta testers will receive regular Android security patch update and so on.
Make sure to let us know how you feel about the beta builds here in the thread too, we are watching."

As usual you people are so quick. Thanks a lot.
And Oxygen so slow...
On OnePlus site 04.07.2017. On the zip file 27.06.2017, like ob from Hydrogen OS..
Works Fine!
I did a full wipe, clean flash. Reflash Twrp 3.1.1.38 by eng stk. On a second reboot to system, phone goes back to stock recovery.
I reflash recovery from laptop with ADB in Fastboot. All good.

So they're supposed to release immediately without testing the builds, stop being a noob
Does bootloader needs to be unlocked to sideload update from stock recovery ?
Do I have to turn on USB debugging ?
I'm on stock 4.1.6, with locked bootloader, want to go to beta builds.
Don't shoot me for this noob question, I just own a op3 for 2 days....

I am not sure how your flashing steps are but what I do when flashing oxygen os is usually flashing twrp img right after flashing oxygen os, then reboot to recovery, finally reboot to system. This way i never lose TWRP.
On a second reboot to system you will loose twrp. Stock recovery takes over.
Yes, after flashing the rom i reflash twrp. This happen on H2o ob16 & Oos ob19
I reflash twrp from laptop. Reboot to recovery, NOT to system !

A sleepless Sunday night ? Updated!
Sent from ma OnePlus3
Has anyone tried to dirty flash OOS 5 over OB27 ?
Edit : dirty flash works and also magisk 14.3 :good:
Battery seems a lot better to nougat, no more random wakelocks. Not sure I like the quick tiles but otherwise a nice update!
Hey, can anyone please help me with the installation? I cant install it using the latest official TWRP as well as latest BluSpark TWRP.

On the latest bluspark TWRP all is good. Come on.
I went from OB 27 to Stable 4.5.1 just to download the full zip.
After that updated to 5.0.
It's pretty straight forward.
On other news, I have asked about this on the 3T thread as well.
I had already found this quirk on OB Oreo, was truly hopping that the stable would have this as ok as it should.
Can anyone confirm that Google drive backup has this information?
It's under settings/backup & reset/Google account
and it for sure shouldn't look like this.

I tried with the latest TWRP, but it gets stuck half the way. I waited for 20 minutes, it was stuck.
Bluetooth audio codecs can't be changed from Developer options. Oxygenos clean install Oreo
Wonder why
Was on Open Beta 27 with Blu_spark's twrp and r206 kernel.
- Downloaded full OOS 5.0 rom zip
- Flashed stock recovery
- Did local upgrade via the System Update
- reflashed blu_spark TWRP
- SuperSU 2.82 SR5
- reflashed blu_spark's r206 kernel
Profit

I'm on OOS 4.5.1 with TWRP and root. When an update comes out, I usually just wipe cache/dalvik, flash the full updated ROM and flash SuperSU, all using TWRP. Since this is a major update going from Nougat to Oreo, is it still OK to use this method?
What about Android system notification? I can't get rid of it.
Edit: found a "solution". I've Installed an app from G play called Hide running in the backgroud...Apparently, this is an Oreo issue present in any device.
PS: I'm not the developer of that app

Someone Please put up fresh links for the Oreo 8.0 build, the OP's drive account won't let anyone else download
Anyone knows if this works for updating from old 4.x to 5.x:
1. Flash full zip from within TWRP (Oreo compatible one)
2. Reboot to recovery after flashing OS
3. Flash Magisk (14.3 beta I want to flash)
4. Whipe dalvic+cache
5. Reboot to system
That's how I updated my previous Oos updates (without the things between brackets)... Never had issues before and this way also didn't trigger the dm-verity warning. But I see so many people having issues during open beta I rather be sure before I try...
Project depreciated! Leaving here for the time being.

Here will be the firmware packages from the latest Global/China MIUI ROMs for those of you using custom ROMs that require the firmware for radios etc to work.
I will try to keep it as up-to-date as possible so every time you need to update your ROM you can grab the newest firmware here and use it to keep firmware up-to-date as well.
Installation Instructions:
I recommend using firmware from the Stable builds, but the firmware from the other ROMs should be fine too. Let us know in the comments if you see any differences between them.
For Oreo ROMs use Oreo Firmware.
For Nougat ROMs use Nougat Firmware.
Follow advice from your ROM maintainer!

In theory it should be fine since it doesn't replace anything to do with /system.
In practice I'm not 100% sure as I've seen a few people mess up their installs by flashing firmware after ROM.
You can just flash firmware then dirty flash your ROM to be sure.
Kind of like if you were updating your ROM just using the zip version you already are on.

So for NisseCool's LOS15, I should grab the Oreo Alpha Firmware now? Or just keep the China Dev Nougat?

Up to you.
I'm using the dev for LOS 15 but they should all work fine.
There doesn't seem to be noticeable differences between the firmwares.
Just giving the option to those who want it

No its not necessary.
Nothing from the zip should affect the system partition.
However I recommend flashing the firmware before flashing your ROM eg with an update or dirty flash just to be 100% sure.
But many users choose to just flash the updated firmware over their ROM and it works just as well
Maybe I'm just OCD about my install proceedures

One of the latest ones
On LineageOS I'm using the latest stable firmware.
I haven't been able to update the firmware packages for the last week as I'm away ATM but will be back soon and can resume uploading them.
You can also make the zips yourself if you download the latest ROM from miui website and use one of mine as a template of what files to remove and what to leave.
And then compare the updater script to see what lines to remove.
Its really easy I'm just uploading for people that don't want to download an entire ROM

No sorry.
You can make it yourself very easily though by downloading the full package from end.muiu.com and then using one of my firmware packages as an example of what to remove and what to leave.
Then copy the updater-script from mine to yours or edit it to be the same and flash

I'm planning to use custom ROM like LOS, but everytime i flash, the mic always not working properly, for example when recording, my voice can't be recorded, but if i tap the mic, the tapping voice is recorded..in the MIUI 9 Stable and Beta, the voice can be recorded but we have to speak very closely to the mic and the voice result also very low..and when i tried to flash back to 8.2.2.0 the mic is working normally, so do u think it's the firmware problem?

What is this?
This is a Semi Generic System Image. That means it's a generic system image that's been optimised as much as possible for our Samsung Devices. This is what differentiates this rom from the one you can find in the Project Treble Forum. I also plan to provide regular updates and improvements very frequently. I'm aiming for weekly if not more.
Why not Rainbow_Dash?
We're a part of the same team and he's taking a break from developing for the moment, so I'm going to do my best to support you with regular updates and support where possible. So his previous version should be considered redundant.
How the heck do I flash this?
It's slightly different than flashing a zip, so here's what you need to do.
Download the image file
Flash BRJ6 Vendor (If you're not on it already)
Flash a compatible kernel (I believe Endurance Kernel AOSP Works fine)
Flash the System Image to your System Partition
Optional if you want root (but reccomended): Reboot to recovery again then flash your choice of Magisk. I use 17.1 as I can get galaxy wear to work with that version.
Reboot your device and you should be good to go! No need to flash gapps as they're included.
To boot recent GSI Builds, on S9/+ be sure to have:
•BRJ6 Vendor
•Eamons latest Endurance Kernel based on 8.1 (AOSP)
•Soldiers latest ELS
*On some ROMs you will find Fingerprint doesn't work, so flash Soliders latest ELS, try and let your phone boot and then flash Endurance again after. You will notice your Fingerprint process isn't in a loop anymore*
What's different to the PE in project treble forum?
Thanks to GRaf for this guidance ^^

I'm a little confused by the instructions. I am on the BRJ8 vendor currently. Do i flash it in this order?
Wipe system, data, cache, dalvik cache
Install the rom img into the system partition
Reboot into recovery
Install the endurance kernel aosp 9.0
Correct?

I've updated the OP with further guidance regarding getting it to boot. I don't have the S9/S9+ so I had to to go to a buddy and ask him. Hopefully this will help you get it booting now.

Well we don't have a pie kernel sources yet, so yes. Plus it's a Generic System Image. The 8.1 kernel works fine.

One more question, I am already on BRJ8 firmware, and I heard somewhere that samsung doesn't allow you to downgrade to an older firmware. Is this true? Do i just flash the BRJ6 firmware on my already current rom?

I will need a custom recovery though right? US Snapdragons are bootloader locked so I don't have any way of doing that
