"Hey everyone,
Here are the latest open beta builds for OnePlus 3 and 3T.
Release notes
Launcher
Improved search tags in App drawer
Added "New installs" category tag in App drawer
Improved app list for hidden space and toolbox
Camera
Optimized switching between front and rear camera
Multimedia
Added capability to scrub/seek through AAC audio file timelines
Please keep in mind that this is beta software. These builds are sometimes not as stable as our official OTAs generally are. By installing this update, you accept the potential risks.
And please remember to tell us about any bugs you may find using the bug report forums, found here. https://forums.oneplus.com/feedback/
Please note:
If you have already flashed an Open Beta (you are currently running the latest Open Beta) you will receive this new build as an OTA.
If you are not running open beta software and would like to, please refer to the flashing instructions and the full ROM found on the downloads page here: http://downloads.oneplus.com/ (requires full data wipe before updating from stable to open beta)
Once you migrate to the Beta path, you will continue to receive Open Beta OTAs. You will no longer receive the regular Official Stable OTAs.
Moving back to the Official OTA path from the Beta path will require a full install and clean flash (FULL WIPE of all data and cache)
Please note that this is the last open beta for OnePlus 3 and OnePlus 3T, we will provide a stable version of OnePlus 3/3T for beta testers to migrate back to stable version of OxygenOS later this month to ensure beta testers will receive regular Android security patch update and so on.
Make sure to let us know how you feel about the beta builds here in the thread too, we are watching."

As usual you people are so quick. Thanks a lot.
And Oxygen so slow...
On OnePlus site 04.07.2017. On the zip file 27.06.2017, like ob from Hydrogen OS..
Works Fine!
I did a full wipe, clean flash. Reflash Twrp 3.1.1.38 by eng stk. On a second reboot to system, phone goes back to stock recovery.
I reflash recovery from laptop with ADB in Fastboot. All good.

So they're supposed to release immediately without testing the builds, stop being a noob
Does bootloader needs to be unlocked to sideload update from stock recovery ?
Do I have to turn on USB debugging ?
I'm on stock 4.1.6, with locked bootloader, want to go to beta builds.
Don't shoot me for this noob question, I just own a op3 for 2 days....

I am not sure how your flashing steps are but what I do when flashing oxygen os is usually flashing twrp img right after flashing oxygen os, then reboot to recovery, finally reboot to system. This way i never lose TWRP.
On a second reboot to system you will loose twrp. Stock recovery takes over.
Yes, after flashing the rom i reflash twrp. This happen on H2o ob16 & Oos ob19
I reflash twrp from laptop. Reboot to recovery, NOT to system !

On the latest bluspark TWRP all is good. Come on.
I went from OB 27 to Stable 4.5.1 just to download the full zip.
After that updated to 5.0.
It's pretty straight forward.
On other news, I have asked about this on the 3T thread as well.
I had already found this quirk on OB Oreo, was truly hopping that the stable would have this as ok as it should.
Can anyone confirm that Google drive backup has this information?
It's under settings/backup & reset/Google account
and it for sure shouldn't look like this.

Was on Open Beta 27 with Blu_spark's twrp and r206 kernel.

- Flashed stock recovery
- Did local upgrade via the System Update
- reflashed blu_spark TWRP
- SuperSU 2.82 SR5
- reflashed blu_spark's r206 kernel

I'm on OOS 4.5.1 with TWRP and root. When an update comes out, I usually just wipe cache/dalvik, flash the full updated ROM and flash SuperSU, all using TWRP. Since this is a major update going from Nougat to Oreo, is it still OK to use this method?
What about Android system notification? I can't get rid of it.
Edit: found a "solution". I've Installed an app from G play called Hide running in the backgroud...Apparently, this is an Oreo issue present in any device.
PS: I'm not the developer of that app

Anyone knows if this works for updating from old 4.x to 5.x:
1. Flash full zip from within TWRP (Oreo compatible one)
2. Reboot to recovery after flashing OS
3. Flash Magisk (14.3 beta I want to flash)
4. Whipe dalvic+cache
5. Reboot to system
That's how I updated my previous Oos updates (without the things between brackets)... Never had issues before and this way also didn't trigger the dm-verity warning. But I see so many people having issues during open beta I rather be sure before I try...

If you are on 5.0 try a vpn (opera vpn: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.opera.vpn&hl=en set germany, canada..., and check system update from settings) to grab the OTA or try Oxygen Updater: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.arjanvlek.oxygenupdater

This is great news!
So far batter drain has not been an issue on mobile standby which is nice. Though I am airing on the side of pessimistic as it wasn't on the first cycle for oreo either then became a problem after.
Colour change for the quick tiles is back to white which is great as well but sadly they have left them gimped and as toggle switches, no quick menu for wifi for example.
As long as they fixed the mobile standby drain persistently I will be happy!

Welcome to the new thread of twrp flashable stock Android One for Mi A1
There will be only stable TWRP flashable builds of stock with no modifications.
All these builds of mine contain everything which a fastboot ROM does, so it's a complete replacement.
How to install
1. Reboot to TWRP (CosmicDan TWRP is recommended)
2. Wipe system, data, dalvik and cache. (if coming from a custom rom) (you may skip if coming from stock)
3. Install the ROM file.
4. Reflash TWRP installer (if you want to have TWRP installed in your phone later).
5. Install Magisk (if you want to have root).
6. Reboot to system.

It is possible. You have to download the latest Oreo based beta version, which is MIUI 8.9.7, and install this package via the software update section in the settings. Once you are on the Oreo beta, you'll get the newest beta via the software updater.

Well im trying to understand this, because since my Mi8 is unlocked and rooted for the first time i have to update it with the weekly update. I received OTA notification and i have downloaded the OTA update (8.12.7) but when i confirm to Updater to apply the weekly update my phone restarted in twrp and the update failed. So yes maybe the way is to restore the original recoevery, flash the last weekly version and then flash twrp and root (with magisk in my case): I don't like very this, a bit too complicated but for now i can't imagine better and shorter ways

If you have TWRP, you can just install the FULL ROM ZIP of betas or stable and flash with TWRP without issues. Just download them from the official XIAOMI website. You cannot install the incremental updates that come from the internal ROM updater software. It only downloads the difference in the ROM versions, and it will fail because files that need patched have changed and fail the validation process. You might have to re-root and install the recovery after you flash.

I'm worried about coming back from beta to stable. As I read on web with ARB u can't make downgrade (from newest version to older). So in my theory is possible to came back from beta to stable just in one case and that is little bit...
Example:
Last beta version was released on sunday 15.5.2018
Last stable version WILL/WAS be relesed thursday 19.5.2018
So u have 2 days for make jump from beta to stable because on next sunday 22.5.2018 will be released another beta which will be again newest than last stable version or dont make any update of beta after release stable version.
Ofcourse I can be wrong

Dirty flashed over stable 10.0.1 and running fine! :good:
I confirm !
Thanks...
Good stuff! Cheers
Is it normal for Oneplus to keep Beta builds alive, even after the OS Android 10 has been released?
Android 10 has been released and a maintenance release was posted seems weird to see Betas.

I have stayed with the betas since OB2 and have also used stable. Have never had any real issues with either.
Current setup is Base OB4 with a load of the latest Omni 10 over both slots and this is and update setup without a data format. Was previously using OB3 with Omni as well prior to the update. Galaxy watch and all my apps work flawlessly on this OB4 as they did with OB3. Planing on adding @pappaschlumpf kernel as I also have latest magisk running well on this also. Not sure yet as everything, and I mean everything works perfect... OOS 10.0.1 cam as well as latest Gcam together!
Cheers!

Wouldn't that be considered as omnirom instead of base ob4? Once you flash the ROM over it's no longer oos. Not sure as to what you mean!?? All is being used from oos is the vendor partition which omnirom overrides the system to AOSP or LineageOS base. Therefore it no longer being an OOS base. So I'm confused as to what you are saying??
I'm currently on OB4 from crdroid, had to switch because of data connectivity issues. So far so good.
OOS can be used as base to get the right system and vendor in order to be compatible with the Custom ROM you are flashing. All features from OOS does not transfer to Omni just a fyi

Yes, yes, and yes, but I spose clarification helps. You are as you have been correct in most all of your post both here and the Tele CRDroid channel - meaning I respect and trust your steps/help/info you provide!
My "current setup" is as such with omni over OB4 - very aware once flash ASOP Rom from OOS we change worlds. My use of the word "base" is to the foundation or stable starting point prior to getting to my "current setup". I like very much OOS features and have found OB2, OB3, stable 10.0.1, and OB4 for a few minutes today to be stable, but I much prefer my ASOP flavor and the added access it gives for my type of mods. Do forgive me for not clearing a line between the two and what we are meaning to imply.
The main reason I have not tried CRDroid is because of the connectivity issues and that I very much want to give a Kernel a try. Hope this gets us crystal!?!
New to phone ,I just flash 21.0.21 OTA.
And this build 13.W is the latest ? Excuse the noob question
Edit: ok i understand now, stable release and beta testing.my question now is can I just flash the beta version now?

I just did a dirty flash then flashed TWRP, rebooted into TWRP, flashed Magisk, wiped cache and running fine. Still rooted and passing Safety check.
I'm so jealous of everyone. I have TMobile and I'm in the USA. I wish I had the latest upgrade.
Is battery life on Beta builds better than stable? I'm really tempted to use the beta 'cause the battery in my stable is pretty disappointing, speacially in standby.

I believe you can switch to the global version with the msmtool
So I updated to the beta 4
First I formated the phone in TWRP
Then installed the beta4 and TWRP
Then rebooted into TWRP
Then installed the beta4 and TWRP
Then rebooted into TWRP
Then rebooted into system
My problem is not music going through the car speakers
Again I can make phone calls and receive calls through car speaker
I have had this issue on all 10 updates
Then only way I get the Bluetooth to work right is either on Android 9 or the Pixel Experience ROM
The only difference I see in developer option between the oos 10 and Pixel Experience ROM is
Disable Bluetooth A2DP hardware offload is grayed out turned off on the OOS 10
But on the Pixel Experience ROM Disable Bluetooth A2DP hardware offload is grayed turned on
I'm running the beta4 right now anyway to fix this I want to run 10 but need my car audio to work
HELP PLEASE ?
Sorry I thought I put the right screenshot
