How to Change CSC After Rooting? - Samsung Galaxy Note 9 Questions & Answers

I'm in Australia and want to change my CSC from OPS to TEL. After doing a lot of research I'm almost certain that this is impossible without root. Samsung chat has informed me the device is made for Optus and the CSC cannot be changed.
If I root the device is there a method to then change the CSC from OPS to TEL?

hello
before rooting the device have you try :
save all your data
- Power off the device
- Go to recovery , HOLD bixby button + Volume up together , and power up
- In recovery , chose factory reset .. This will give a warning and then reset everything
- Choose power off
- Power on the phone , wait and . then chose restart to system now when asked
- wait and after reboot , your CSC have change according the sim tray ( TEF )
or with ussd code : *#272*imei#*
regards

Thanks, but I've tried both those methods several times without success. I've spoken with Samsung again and they are telling me that the phone was "built for Optus" and that's why the CSC is locked to Optus. This is really weird stuff because the phone is not network locked to Optus because I've been using my Telstra sim in it. It's only the CSC that seems to be locked.

You need your device to be rooted, then you can change CSC from TWRP (download the TEL zip to your device before proceeding)

tried many times
I tried many times too, triangle away then flashing I9305XXALI9_I9305OLBALI8_SIN.zip for I9305 4.1.1 Singapore version, but still saying modified.
-When i checked with KIES, instead of flashing ROM from SIN (Singtel), its showing MM1 (Mobile 1).
Note: double confirmed my download of the said firmware
Initially it's showing Device Status: Normal but after a reboot of the phone, it shows MODIFIED.
So, this could be caused by the bootloader i believe. its using the new bootloader.
Can anyone please post a link to download the old bootloader of I9305 international
Thank you

Which country? Is your phone a dual sim model? Please send full details of your phone.
No service error can be resolved by these following steps:
First of all make sure your phones Aeroplane mode is turned off
1) Reinsert your sim cards and restart
2) Factory Reset your phone
3) Use *#*#4636#*#* on your phones dialer and then select the phone information option, try to turn on the radio manually
4) If none of the above works please check the phone status by clicking about phone>Status>Sim1 or 2>Service Status, If your service status is showing Radio Off then you have to Reinstall The STOCK ROM on your phone or you have to flash only the MODEM Files of Original Stock Rom via mfastboot

I believe that you know how to connect your phone to your PC in adb fastboot mode, so i am skipping that part.
Please check you have downloaded "XT1068_TITAN_RETAILDSDS_6.0_MPB24.65-34_cid7_CFC.xml". This is Stock Rom Version of India.
If yes Please copy only NON-HLOS.bin and fsg.mbn files form that STOCK ROM zip into the installation folder of adb fastboot in your PC.
Once you connect your phone in bootloader to PC open mfastboot cmd and type and run only two commands mentioned below 1) mfastboot.exe flash modem NON-HLOS.bin
and
2) mfastboot.exe flash fsg fsg.mbn
Then exit cmd and restart your phone.
If any confusions you have please feel free to write down here. (regrets for replies may take longer, please be patient)
I hope this will surely solve your problem.
Don't forget to leave a reply if your problem get solved

If your phones IMEI showing correctly, then its only problem of modem files.
I think what you have flashed is not a correct ROM. Otherwise that should have worked.
Please check your IMEI and then tell me is that IMEI SV slots are showing some value or showing null? Not only Main IMEI solt. There is another IMEI slot called SV slot check that also in about phone-status-imei information

CSC problem No Id

Hi all. I flashed my phone with the csc selection and once the phone booted back up my csc was XSA/XSA/NO ID and in download mode. Carrier id is blank. Ive tried flashing stock firmware with odin using the csc not home csc and still remains the same. Any ideas on how to fix.
And that is why you backup EFS in TWRP. It states that so people don't get stuck with problem you are having
I did make a backup of the efs before i flashed the csc. Have to wait 6 more days now for oem unlock to appear again.

Changing CSC on OXM firmware

Hi there,
Is it possible to change the CSC of my note9 SM-N960F from Australia (XSA) to Singapore (XSP)? I believe both are part of the multi CSC OXM firmware but there's little information on how to go about changing the CSC.
So far I've tried the following 2 methods but unfortunately, I'm still stuck on the XSA CSC.
Method 1:
- Power off the device
- remove the sim tray.
- Go to recovery , HOLD bixby button + Volume up together , and power up
- In recovery , chose factory reset .. This will give a warning and then reset everything
- Choose power off , in the recovery and insert sim tray .. you should do this before booting up as your CSC will be configured when you will start
- Power on the phone , wait and . then chose restart to system now when asked
- wait and after reboot. CSC remains unchanged
Method 2:
*#272*IMEI# to change CSC but I'm getting the "connection problem or invalid MMI code"
any input would be greatly appreciated!
hello
you can try this solution in post 67 : https://forum.xda-developers.com/ga...n960n-n960u-n960u1-n960w-n9600-t3833721/page7
regards
Hi, I have tried the solution in post #67 but my CSC is still XSA. Is it possible to just download the XSP OXM firmware and flash via odin without tripping knox?
at this time i'm unable to make a working N960 CSC file with only one CSC ( noboby is able to signe CSC file ) and as combination file don't work for this device the only solution is to find a working secret code
sorry and regards
I have N960U usa unloacked, on 8.1.
I also have Thai SIM CARD not in use.
There is any way i can upgrade to Pie 9.0 without loosing call recording?
If i get THL CSC on my N960U i think call tecording will work.
Sny way to do this?
METOD TO CHANGE CSC (tested on N960FD) Install this rom https://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-note-9/development/rom-galaxy-project-t3911947 choose csc. then you can come back to your rom, I came back because I like a lot of modifications but this rom is also nice. After this operation It should be good. it helped me. I had CSC BTU samsung and I could not change the method, I did not try with the combination rom because I did not want to play like that. I know that some roms have options to choose the csc at installation and I have used it.
I hope I helped

G977U, how can I lock to a LTE band and set PS only?

Bought this phone from VZW. After network is unlocked, changed CSC from VZW to GCF, with *#272*IMEI-NUMBER#. I like to lock it to a certain LTE band and do PS only. But found I can't access the service mode to make the change. It only takes *#0011# to display the information. I was told it's because the engineering mode is not enabled on the phone. Is that true? How to enable the engineering mode?
