Kaiser - T-Mobile UK Network Question

I've just connected my Kaiser up to the T-Mobile UK network and let it auto-configure.
On my old Universal, i'd get a bar indicator, showing the phone reception, then i'd get a G if i was connected to GPRS but not sending, a G-> if connected to GPRS and sending/receiving data, a U if connected to 3G and not sending data, or U-> if connected to 3G and sending/receiving.
On the Kaiser i'm getting a 3G/G indicator next to the 'phone' signal indicator, as well as a seperate icon next to it, with either G/3G etc.... is that normal?
Also, when i send/receive a MMS, it connects to 'T-mobile Picmessaging' - is this just the same as T-mobile 3G, but just a different name? Should it just be using my normal 3G connection?!
Sorry if that hard to read, im just a bit confused!
Thanks

[Q] Any way to force 3G instead of H or H+

Guys I have an odd problem.
Where I live, the signal on the HTC One switches erratically and constantly between H+, H and 3G. At every switch of course the data connection goes offline. It's driving me crazy.
Is there a way to force the phone to one of the three: 3G or H or H+?
Please see image 01.
I've tried going into *#*#4636#*#* but the choices baffle me (see image 02). I've tried a few of the available choices but it seems that 3G, H and H+ fall into the same category.
It's probably a dead end, I can't imagine what else to do ..... has anyone else had the same issue?
The 3G logo means it's on voice only, and H+/H means there's data incoming/outgoing. They're using the same radios and frequencies, it's more like an idle state when it shows 3G. 3G will still periodically go up to H+/H to check for any incoming data then goes back to sleep at 3G.
I have the same problem with my connexion. It is only stable when I have the "3G" symbol. I did not find a way to force "3G". It seems the switch to "H" is on demand...

It's normal behaviour, if you have a good H connection it will switch to this when there is data traffic but when there isn't it will switch between 3G and H

Which icon are you referring to, and what is the icon that you are seeing now?

What i get at the moment is the Signal strength icon which sometime has a Small H with it, I also get the Wif and Battery Icon but i don't get, EDGE, 3G, Sending and downloading 3G data, Sending and downloading EDGE data,
I get all other notification icons appearing like email etc, but no Status Icons for 3G or Edge.
I just wondered if they had been turned off somewhere..? But i can't find any options for them. I dunno if they are in the build prop like the NFC icon i set this to true and that now appears.
Network icons:
H or H+: you're connected to 3.5G / UMTS network.
3G: you're connected to 3G network.
E: you're connected to EDGE network.
Each icon will appear depends on what network you're connected to. And they will NOT appear when you're connected to wifi.
About the data upstream / downstream indicators, look for small upwards and downwards triangle under the network icons (of course when you're not connected to wifi).

[Q] Cell Data Icon is not displaying correctly

After using Xposed Ex-Themer and GravityBox at the same time, now my Cellular Data Icon in the Notification Bar always shows E (edge) even when I a connected via 3g, HSPA, 4g LTE. I cannot seem to get it to reset to stock icons. Any help is much appreciated.
Thank!

4G not enabled when wi-fi is on

HI all,
On february 16 my provider network SFR (French in Paris) had some issues, I lost my gsm and 4G and since I can't turn on 4G and Wi-Fi on my HTC at the same time as I used to do before, now the 4G icon disappear when the Wi-Fi is turned on and I can read " Use my data plan when Wi-Fi isn't available" instead of "connected".
It seems that the 4G is in sleep mode, the icon comes again and data "connected" if I receive or send a MMS then disappear again.
If the wi-fi is turned off, I have the data "connected" with the 4G icon, as usual.
I have reset the SFR apn, still same, I have contacted their support, they say that it's normal for a smartphone to use Wi-Fi and not 4G all together, but I did when i wanted !
Now I can't, is any of u had this problem, know the cause and how to solve it?
Thank u in advance.
Do you have an option of automitically connect to 4G when wi-fi is poor turned on? It is in wi-fi's advanced options
