Hello guys,
for about 1 month I bought a Mi8 in a german store and noticed, that the Screen has a banding/uniformity.
This was the reason I returned it back and bought a Note9, but the Mi8 is smaller, has better community.
Was I one of the only ones with the problem?

Meine es gibt no problemo at all...
mine's a bit different
Yep, my screen is experiencing pixel death at an ever increasing rate from the bottom right hand corner.
Gutted.

I'm sorry to hear this. Mine has no issues so far, and if it does develop any, I'm SOL as I live in the US. Issues with Samsung screens aren't unheard of, I remember reading about issues with the S9, take a look here:
https://www.valuewalk.com/2018/03/galaxy-s9-green-screen-purple-slow-camera-pink-line/
The Mi 8's display is made by none other than Samsung. Unfortunately it seems these past few years have not been the best for Samsung in terms of quality.
Same Here...
It is 2 months old.
Man now i hate my Mi 8 and want a new phone.
Amy recommend phones with NFC and Same Performance?
I Hope they take it back

Anyone having this problem with one side of the screen being brighter? Very noticeable on Grey's and some blues.

Every Samsung AMOLED screen is like that.
My galaxy s3 and note 2 were not like that

Hmmm...I was laying in bed last night streaming some videos because I couldn't sleep. I think I would have noticed something like that on the black loading page...I recall everything was of uniform brightness. I'll have to check again later & specifically look for it. However, I'm incredibly anal about that kind of stuff so I think it would have stuck out like a sore thumb.
I have a Charcoal Grey unit, by the way.
Opened up Chrome to that blank screen like you did and mine looks normal. I was thinking perhaps it was just a viewing angle sort of problem, but every angle I tried looked the same...normal. Not sure what could be causing that for you.

We've come a long way with display technology and bad displays are a lot more rare than they used to be, but a bad one still will slip through from time to time. A trip down to the local AT&T store to swap it out for a new one will fix the problem.
Or is it too outdated now, I'm considering getting this one, I like the placement of the camera and the fact I can choose android or tizen, only drawback for me is the 800mhz processor, so I figured I'd ask other users opinions.

Don't waste your time or money for a product that doesn't have a reasonable way to replace the battery. I bought two of them and the battery completely died with very little use in one of them. I will not buy another Samsung watch.

Well there's not very many smartwatches with removable batteries, so I guess you'd be waiting awhile, if they ever come out with one.
They're 50 to 70 bucks now on eBay, I can understand a faulty charging connector or something though, but I highly doubt something this new would suffer from a completely dead and drained battery already by now.
Got mine ordered and on the way, should be here friday or saturday... Hopefully it's still on Android OS and I don't have to retrograde from Tizen.
Nice though that ya can over clock it to 1.60Ghz, I don't see something that small needing a lot of cpu power anyways.
Happy with it regardless of what all it can or can't do makes me want the Rufus Cuff more now... LoL
Disappointed in 3t camera,
Great fast phone, but miss s7 camera I once had,
I also miss spen from my old note 4.
Should I stay, or buy a note 5

When you buy a note 5; you'll be disappointed in battery life. And you'll be missing battery life of 3t. Then 3T will be showed up on every display screen you look at like:

You reckon i love my 3t but always disappointed with the camera,
I wish the Chinese could build a budget awesome camera phone.
First thing with phones for myself is camera.
I miss my s7 edge since switching to 3t,
Now oneplus have probs stopped supporting the 3t and focusing on the 5
You seem to be a noob around here aren't you. The 3t is the BEST phone! Has a great community, great battery life (better if you install custom kernels), smoothest OS, and the camera is descent. The front facing camera is one of the best out there btw. And that charging speed is BEAST.

Hello all,
As the title says, I bought this for my brother couple of years ago and now it's showing a purple tint (very obvious when running on white background) and also its like I'm seeing a double image in the background-specifically the image, in this case a guitar, as seen in the back; like it's burned in. Is this a serious issue and can it be fixed? Took it to a store and the guy, immediately told me change screen and it will cost almost as much as a new phone. Just wondering if there is another solution.
Thanks, Gary

If you purchased this unit 2nd hand, chances are the display has burn-in damage. You could try this app (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.mert.screenburnfixer&hl=en&gl=US) to see if it will help with the burn in issue. Please note that you should run it for about an hour.

Thanks for the answer. It's from a shop, not 2nd hand. And it happened after 2-3 years of use but not extensive. Talked with Samsung customer service they told me the guarantee is over so nothing can be done. Told them it wasn't my fault if you have faulty hardware that triggers after x amount of time that YOUR machine broke down. It never fell from his hands or anything. Anyways I'll try that app though from what I started reading online, the problem seems to be consistent with many same model phones.
Hi,
I currently have the OP 8 Pro which has pretty much the best looking screen on a mobile device I have owned to date.
I returned the Pixel 6 Pro because of Google's lack of customisation and the screen looked awful to me not to mention bugs and the crappy mono sounding audio in games.
My OP 8 Pro has wide colour gamut 8n the display settings and was curious to know if the OP 10 Pro has the same display settings going forward from the latest last few gens of OP devices?

Cool I'm guessing you'll be much happier with the 10 Pro than the pixel, I hate basic and the Pixels are about as basic as they cone even more so than Apple now.
