Is there any way to devs to port miui rom for note 8
Miui awsom rom
People were asking that on reddit . Its pointless. Miui would eat more ram that Samsung rom + if u really need it , u would need source which does not exists right now cuz we have no devs. I personally want saifish OS or ubuntu touch on note 8 , but still . No1 is working on that and I am too stupid to do anything. Myself I could only fix ril in old rr nougat to make it working but nothing else

This os is best for Android phones
If you look at the sources they are not for hdpi devices therfore no development atleast for now as i see it. I also want to see something different from aosp ROMs.
Stock rom modified to xperia ui would be cool too.
For our device it looks aosp ROMs is what senior devs prefer.
Why any developer not work in miui ROM I know your answer but miui7 is good for Android phones

If you like it so much, then why don't you compile it? Devs are tired of requests for MIUI. THEY DON'T WANT TO DO IT.

This is a no brainer. I am about to sell my Note 8 and go back to Note 4 or Note 3 if nothing happens in the near future.

Many people would pay if no jay and fevax . Fevax created bootable lineage , collected money and disapired . Jay is not dev which can make ROM so he won't do anything else than porting . We can only wait

Jay ported twrp 4 treble . It support treble . BUt...... No kernel which support treble = no treble . I need just kernel . Then I can try work on ivans lineage or if some1 port kernel with treble support u can flash watever u want
So wat happend to jay u may ask ? I asked him 4 kernel and I wrote I can pay . He agreed but I needed to send him kernel . He went offline for more than 2 weeks . I guess we wont get it
Edit: . We got dev back ( that 1 who made ressureciton remix official for our device ) . He will start working at wednesday ( not today . Next 1 ) . He hates treble ( no idea why ) but if he agree to make kernel suporting treble , we will get android p bugless in 1-3 dayz when he start working on it . If no , basicly ALMOST bugless lineage from ivan ( port )
Nice to see I'm not the only one eager for this - and frustrated with the constant silence from the few devs that were supposedly working on it pro-bono. Happy to contribute my device for testing and add to the bounty, my duos is already collecting dust these days for want of an AOSP build.

All the roms and kernels say use at own risk all the modes too. Is a rule about dev protection. Before many months i try this https://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-note-8/development/port-lineageos-14-1-note8-exynos-t3685171 he have many bugs like fingerprint,camera no work. The 80% of the rom i bad. And is a discontinued rom. Go to resurrection remix google plus site. And ask your questions. You will take an answer from the devolepors. Here the rr rom is dead for a many months. I dont know if anyone can help you here because no rr officialy exist. Better to choose from the alive roms and up to date roms. If you want daily rom and stable, is clearly not the rr this rom. RR roms is my favorite roms But no luck with Note 8.
I love RR roms too. Many of my phones run RR roms for a many years. Expect Note8 and Note 5. I agree with Amaranth. Go to ask into Google Plus. This rom looks old and outdated. Looks dangerous for the Note8. You will face many issue like unstable battery,drain,bootloops.

Has anyone tried this build on our Note 8? = doesnt even boot . Kernel is damaged , there is no boot animation and rom doesnt support catlog

Working on los15 and rr 6.1 for note 8 . But only thing he made was that rr which wasnt even booting, then scammed people 4 more that 100E

Im really tired of miui roms and i cant find a descent non miui custom rom for our device. I already tried havoc os gsi but notch is not detected and thats a problem for daily use.
Does anybody know what gsi works fully on our phone?
Resurection arrow octupos or?!
Or atleast a way for havoc os to detect notch?(i already tried the zip that someone posted in mod section but no result)

Havoc 2.0 has notch problem but havoc 2.2 is out now. Even its unofficial, you can try and report it here. If you want to wait for official, it will be out after march sevurity patches released.

I read over here that there is one aosp based rom, legacy, or sonething of the sort, in beta stage, search for it, but, why would you want to downgrade your note 8? Because that is exactly what is going to happen, all the specific samsung related features that make a galaxy note what it is, will be gone , and specially, samsung pay and secure folder are gone forever
