I mean, today i saw an article talking about the new Mate 20 Pro and i want to know about that... "Mate" is the budget version of the huawei's devices? Knowing that Mate 20 Pro is the new device, i know that it can be better, but, if one day they release another P30 Pro, maybe, it will be better since mate is a budget version?
The real question is... What is the "rank"? Honor > Mate > P20 Pro?

They have both become Huawei premium models, being released with a gap of about 6 months. The new Mate model will be better than P20 and the bext P phone will most likely have some features not found in the Mate 20....
Hey guys, dont be shy for those that have a P30 Pro did you come from a Mate 20 Pro? Feedback? Happy with the move?.
$200 Canadian difference for me, taking the savings and Mate 20 Pro or spend more for better? Is it really better outside the camera? Last two phones I had LG G7 and PH1 had Quad HD I liked that. Battery life imp, between the two its close so lets hear feedback.
Planning to buy Asus Zenfone 6 when it releases in USA and I am aware it is FHD, I expect P30 Pro will be better with OLED FHD thus I am not yet making a Quad HD screen a definite requirement for this round of phones.

I have used both and i prefer p30 pro,for the camera new sensor with OIS and 1.6,the battery very impressive and small notch,as for the display i am very satisfied for a fullhd screen.

I used to own a Mate 20 Pro and really miss it, so I'm going back to Huawei, but cannot decide between Mate RS PD and Mate 20 Pro. The reasons I'm having difficulty choosing are because the Mate 20 Pro has the latest 7nm chipset (which should result in better battery life and performance) and upgraded camera, while the Mate RS porsche design has a much higher storage space and ever so slightly better looks. FYI, I really don't mind the notch on the M20pro.
Phone specs:
Mate RS porsche design - P20 specs with 512gb storage space (black color) - around $500
Mate 20 Pro - 128gb global rom (black) - around $550
Also, does anyone know if the Mate RS / P20 Pro battery life is on par with Mate 20 Pro? What about night time photography?

Mate 20 Pro. Kirin 970 is much outdated today. The only risk is glue gate.
Personally I would wait for mate 30 pro and oneplus 7T pro and then decide. But i understand time and money are key factors here.

Lets see in 6 months after the release...if things have not evolved I may look into another brand. Untill then I keep reading and following the Google/Huawei/Trumph story on the 30Pro.
My opinion, this time round, Mate 30 Pro will depend on the camera quality badly, if the camera and video recording on the Mate 30 Pro is equal or outstanding than iPhone 11, Huawei stand a chance to survive with AOSP.

Hello everybody,
The phone was announced and waiting to be shipped to local stores. It has a big problem and i was wondering if someone from here can fix it for all of us. I'd like to buy one but only if this can be fixed.
The video recording for the back (108MPX) camera will be capped at 1080P @ 30FPS. The India and China versions have no such limitations. The Redmi Note 9 Pro and 8 Pro go all the way to 4K @30 FPS, and have worst cameras, worst procesors.
Can someone here please do us a favor and come up with a camera app that will unlock more resolutions? Or a fix of some kind? I expect it to involve rooting the phone and that is not a problem for me.
