I bought a LG G7 (G710N sk telecom korean variant), and recently a Note 9 ( N960F/DS international variant) . I notice something pretty annoying is that whenever I use a browser in my Note 9 to open a facebook link (not messenger though), the phone doesn't prompt me to choose to open it in browser or in the native app, which I had on my LG G7. Having looking for solution about the default apps settings, the set default for facebook is grayed out or only works with link open in Messenger. I wonder if is there a possible fix or just my phone got this issue ? ( doubt it since I performed full wipe 2 times )
Can anyone help me with this ?

Just got the 7000 note over the Att note even though the att note as lte... seems like the international some how is more stable.. i do have a few questions.. Did I make the right choice to get the international over ATT note?
1. I cannot download the samsung apps that are in the samsung apps application.. It gets me to the sign in screen but then I cannot get beyond the sign in screen .. I do have an account and it has been verified.. Anything I can check to try to get the applications downloaded.. it was an icon on the phone..
2. I have so many facebook contacts but I dont necessarily want theire emails/phone numbers appearing in my contacts.. i just want to be able to add phone numbers and emails on my own.. There is some kind of sync i am sure but I just want to be able to add phone numbers to my own do i save them to the sim card the phone the sd card.. i dont know where they are so i need help with that
3. Also how does video calling work.. . I would like to use it but I would like to know how it works..
4. I notice the unit shuts off sometimes when its dark is that normal it does a full reboot..
5. Is there any galaxy unlocked note like in canada that would have a toggle between lte/hspa+ . I think there is one in Canada.. i may prefer that one.. but i didnt buy the att one due to disableing fm radio and such...
I will probably have more questions later..
Seth
I am not overly Familiar with the ATT note (other then reviews) but I will try to answer as many questions as I can.
1. The Samsung APP sounds like the Samsung App is crashing (if its not displaying anything after loggin). Check to see if there is any software updates for your phone. If not you may need to do a Factory reset,I would not do this is you are running ICS as it could harm your phone.
On the plus side Most apps in the Samsung App-store are also available in the Google Play-store.
2. Go to Settings > Sync Settings and chose you Apps (Facebook, etc) in its setting un-tick the Sync Contacts Box
3. Yes Video calling works fine for me
4. Full reboots are not Normal but are normal caused by a application that is misbehaving. Finding it will be a process of elimination.
5. I believe all the LTE notes should be able to drop down to hspa+. The problem is that there are quite a few different LTE frequencies and no 1 Note can use them all so you are pretty much locked into buying it from your Carrier.
Hope this helps

Hi guys,
I installed the Google phone dialer app on my MI 8 running latest version of Mi Globe ROM (MIUI 10 - Android 9). However I cannot find the setting to set it as my default phone app.
I remember seeing the setting somewhere, but I cannot seem to find it anymore. I'm running NOVA Launcher.
Can anybody help me out please?
Cheers
As far as I know you cannot do that, only thing is replace the icon on your main screen with the google phone, funny because you can do it with the message app and others but phone its not possible
I mean everything seems to work well and it did install straight from the play store, so it could be that it integrated better to the system than if I installed a patched version. I'll see how it goes, but I really could not go without the nearby places feature anymore...
Settings \ all apps \ three dots top right \ default apps
Ok so, I have a little bit of a strange issue I'm trying to solve, what I do for a living is pre-sale inspections for cars and trucks, and I use an LG tablet to do these inspections, and sometimes the tablet will run out of juice or I'll just plain forget the thing, which isn't a problem, I can use the phone (note 9) just the same, the issue comes in when it's time to upload the photos, the company is particular about the pictures being in a certain order, and the LG tablet will upload photos in whatever order you select the photos, as where the note 9 just lobs them up in whatever order it feels like, and I've come to conclusion it's the gallery app that has that functionality due to the fact that my V30+ that I had just before my note 9 had no problem uploading the photos in the same order I selected them, the V30 had the exact same gallery app as the LG tablet I use at work.
So I thought "Ok, I'll just hunt down the LG gallery APK and install it on the note 9... but for some reason the app won't install on the note, I start the install, it go's all the way through the setup and then suddenly "app not installed" I Don't know what the problem is, But I guess my question is, does anyone know how I can "force" it to install, or a gallery/picture manager that will upload photos in the same order you select them?

The note 9 already had an app edith the same name. Also LG may have made modifications go their gallery app, causing it not to work on any other non lg crevice.
Have you tried using Google Photos? Has auto backup no matter which device you're using.
Hi Guys,
Not sure where to post this, so delete if wrong place.
I have two Xiaomi Phones - a Mi9 and a Redmi Note 9 Pro - both on Stock MIUI 12 Global Rom
On my Mi9, I can add most things to my Android Auto Home screen.
For some reason I can't add or see apps like messenger, signal, whatsapp, etc on my Redmi Note 9 Pro, even though they appear on Mi9.
I have tried to enable dev settings in the app and enabled unknown sources, but still no luck.
Any one in a similar situation or know any solutions?
Thanks
before the vivox fold I had the Huawei Mate 20 x I fell in love with the notes app and would like to install it on the vivo x fold. The installation also works, but when I open the app If you want to open it, it automatically closes immediately. Does anyone know a solution to the problem, or an app that looks and works the same or similar?
I have two Huawei Mate X 20 phones - one with CN firmware, and one with Global firmware. The Chinese version came with Huawei Notepad and the Global version came with Android "Keep". If it is the Chinese app you are looking for you can download Huwaei's Petal Apps Store and get it from them, or on the Vivo App Store they have two third-party "Notepad" apps that appear to look and behave like the original Huawei version.
I had the app called "Memo" on my Mate 20x, found and installed it yesterday as an apk, but as soon as I open it, it closes immediately.
