Ya, the old days with xperia X10 it was easy, just use flashtool. Now it's hard

Grab my dual sim stock firmware version from the TWRP thread and flash it with newflasher v13.
It will wipe/factory reset your userdata.
But that is needed or you will receive a bootloop.

From your signature you have an unlocked bootloader. So just flash doomkernel and a root package and you will have root......
RootPackage-gregbradley.zip - 1.75 MB
PS, I have to ask why did you unlock your bootloader if you didn't know this?

it's not obligatory to have a Hong Kong version of phone to flash a Hong Kong firmware, I have global phone but i've install this firmware, and it works perfectly, but if you want root, you need to have unlocked bootloader, BY THE TIME BEING the ROM is not rootable with locked bootloader...
but if you don't care about root, flash this firmware via flashtools, and it won't bring any problem
I have an Xperia Z.Recently I flashed it with 4.4.2(still this update is not available in my place .so i downloaded the FTF file and flashed it).I am not very much impressed with the performance :crying: .First the lagging, next the battery drain caused by the google play services .Now I want to root my Z.Doomlord's method(http://forum.xda-developers.com/xperia-z/development/cwm-based-recovery-6-0-4-5-xperia-z-t2167381) requires us to unlock the bootloader. But I don't want to lose my BE2 again(I had previously lost it before 6 months by unlocking the BL).so i decided to backup my TA partition using this method(http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2292598).But this one also requires root.so plz suggest me an idea to root my device without losing the be2.
Good question you've made, i hope DoomLord will answer fast. I still afraid root my 4.4.2
Only method...
Flash stock. 67 firmware,root it,backup ta,...unlock BL,flash 4.4,follow doom steps

So the BL stays unlocked even after flashing an updated or downgraded version of android???
No need to unlock bootloader.
Just flash stock 67 firmware as mentioned, root it and get dualrecovery for it and then flash stock based 4.4.2 and Supersu fix with recovery, shut phone down from recovery and flash kernel for it. All this info in general and android dev section. I hope you understand what i meant.
Pardon my english.

2.would I be able to downgrade back to KK if I don't like it? (I'm thinking no…)

I did it a few weeks ago, but i always failed on Oreo... The best way is downgrade to Nougat an then rebrand, it worked for me on the first try!

No chance at the moment... Security Patch must be older than August 2018 for getting an Unlock Code...

I need help. I unlocked the bootloader of my Xperia xz3 and lost access to Google pay and other services. I wish it was possible to root my phone or block the bootloader again to get everything back to the way it was before. The twrp I'm trying to install does not seem to be compatible with version 52.1.A.3.20 from my cell phone. Does anyone have a compatible twrp?

I'll summarize ... I already have the bootloader unlocked, so I need the following tutorials and files ... Xperia xz3 drivers for the ADB fastboot (H8416) (Akatsuki) TWRP compatible with Xperia xz3, (I don't know if you can install either) an updated tutorial on how to do this safely and Magisk in zip to flash when installing TWRP. With all this, my problems are over because the SafeNet verification will be positive and I will be able to use Google pay again. Here is my thanks for all the attention and it was trusting you that I marked you to help me with all this!
