Hello, everyone.
As you can see, I have Galaxy Ace S5830i. Today I decided to download GTA 3 (yes, download. Not buy) and try to run it on my phone. I know that on normal Ace, without "i", GTA 3 runs. But when I tried to run it on my Ace, with "i", black screen shows for a few seconds and returns to the screen with my apps. After when I rooted my phone, installed Chainfire 3D and tried to run GTA 3, the black screen shows but it doesn't disappear. When I press "setting button", below the screen and next to the home button, the phone vibrates for less than half a second.
In Google Play, the page with GTA 3 says that it's compatible with my phone, so I don't understand why it doesn't work... I downloaded .apk file and files to the SD card. I put the .apk file into the SD card and the folder "com.rockstar.gta3" into the "Android/data". I tried to run 1.2 and 1.3 version.
Any sugesstions? Also before installing Chainfire 3D I was trying to run the game. I was trying everything and still nothing.
Android version: 2.3.6
Sorry for any grammar mistakes. My English isn't perfect.
No one has found a way to run GTA3 on this device yet
Goole Play says it's compatible with this phone, so it should work... In theory.
It dosen't work, my friend buy it and he was so angry because the game dosen't work properly.

Thanks for replies, guys. I still don't understand why it doesn't work on this phone... There're almost no differences between S5830i and S5830, so it should work similar on both phones.
Thanks again.

There's a major difference. CPU and GPU are different, and come from a different company
The exterior is the same though.
Probably S5830i is very similar to Galaxy Y (this same GPU etc.) and on this phone GTA 3 runs fine. Now, I really don't understand why GTA 3 doesn't work on S5830i...

Agree, don't know why... but hope the next Vice City mobile works on this device :good:
Rockstar Games says that GTA 3 works only on Android devices with Tegra. A lot of devices don't have Tegra, but the game works fine on them. I hope Rockstar will do something about S5830i. Maybe not with GTA 3, but I really care about Vice City.
i was fooled too
this phone sucks without Divers...But I have some good news ... GPU drivers for the test .. and will be released soon ... then you will 100% be able to play GTA ... I even think that we could play a lot more games than regular Ace S5830
Wow, would be great. If GTA 3 will work smoothly, I hope that Vice City too.

We have been listening this GOOD NEWS for quite a time now......with crossed fingers
These drivers would be released by official Samsung developers or "third" developers?
Drivers will be released by Broadcom, which is the manufacturer of the processor in this phone
The CPU is cheaper...
I think this...in the s5830 the game is working with the CPU and the GPU... but the s5830i has a different CPU and GPU...and at some post i readed about the difference betwen this two decives...and the CPU of the s5830i is more cheaper than the s5830...i dont remember in what post but... i readed about it, here in the XDA... so may be the reason no?
Maybe it'll be interesting for someone -> http://support.rockstargames.com/requests/521313
I sent an email to Rockstar Support about GTA 3 on S5830i. Maybe the answer is helpful, maybe not, don't know. I didn't try.
I can't access it, what does it say?

Hi,
I have a Galaxy Note 8 exynos version. Fortnite runs on medium on my phone However I seen other Note 8's (snapdragon) which run it on epic settings without no problems. Does anyone know why ?

Hmm not sure, but I'm guessing it's due to the different SoC? Not sure if true or not, but I had read once that the Snapdragon was slightly better for 3d graphics while the exynos was slightly better for multitasking and battery life. That could potentially explain it, but it could also just be something coded wrong in the app itself (it's beta) that might get fixed in a future update. Speculation only of course
Its the same with PUBG mobile. Snapdragon variant can play HDR and Ultra Frame rate (40fps) while exynos only Hd and high. (30fps). I dont know why the do that to similar devices.

Probably because of the different SoC.
you can play pubg on 60fps there is an app called gfx tools in playstore. you can select hdr but it really heats up the phone and i couldnt really get a good fps with it. kernel keeps lowering cpu speed even though dvfs is disabled. but low graphics on 60fps is very nice.

Dont know about you but it works for me
It's disappointing that the Exynos variant currently is stuck on Medium while the Snapdragon one reaches Epic. I know there's a performance difference, but it's not supposed to be THAT big.
Hopefully, Epic will improve performance.

Is it possible to play PUBG mobile on maxed out setting on Exynos version? And without additional apps to optimize it. Really appreciate the help.

Nope, it heats up, becomes very choppy. Coming from oneplus 6, I know i am spoiled but still, very very disappointed with note 9's PUBG performance. I have to run it on smooth graphics and extreme fps, only to be able to get a decent playable experience
I think Snapdragon version is better for PubG.
However if you want to play PubG on the Exynos variant you wouldn't get the best experience as you will encounter heat up resulting in thermal throttling.
I would go with another phone if you really want to play PubG at max settings. If not then the Note 9 is a great daily
I really like this phone a lot, I always wanted a best LCD phone. and This phones is so perfect with everything I need in it. I know mediatek 1100 throttles a lot but performance is fine,. I only want to know that will I be able root this phone and use my magisk modules on it. I don't care about custom rom other that miui eu roms
