Hello guys,
I'm facing a problem that the audio is so weak or low using the headphones, I tried many headphones but nothing also I tried to fix the equalizer but nothing...
I don't know what to do with this problem however i tried these headphones with other mobile (iPhone 5s) the sound was really really cool.
Anyone is facing this problem?
Thanks in advance
No. Sometimes the sound gets made a lot quieter and you look at the screen and it's not saying anything, so you increase the volume and only then do you get a message about volume damaging your hearing you have to ok before actually increasing the sound.

I already did that and the sound level is full but still low in the headphones
There is effects settings for headphones turn it off and the sound will be good, but via inbuild speaker it will be weak then.

If you always wear headphones at anyplace you will notice it for sure.

I listen to music on this phone all the time (FLAC though, not mp3), no problem here.

I do still I didn't notice, the I feel like the voice is kinda low when I use Spotify, but it works perfect with Poweramp, though I use FLAC
Can anybody tell me why sound level and quality is so low? Can't listen to my favourite music because it sounds like crap. I'm using BT headphones.

Have you used decent headphones? I know people often use Bluetooth headphones but they are terrible (the protocol lossily encodes audio so even if you started with FLAC that's not what you'd end up with in your ears)? I listen exclusively to FLAC via both decent Sennheiser headphones and cheap Philips earbuds and they both sound great to me (via Rocket Player). So you have a problem but I don't think it's your choice of phone.

Ofc it is SBC but there is no problem with Redmi note 4. I checked it with iPhone 6 and still no problem. Then I tried old p9 lite and... same problem. So huawei/honor is still have problem with Bluetooth. (I remember old p8 lite and problems with WiFi speed while using bt speaker)

I currently have an XDA IIs and the sound through the speaker is kinda meh, I'm thinking of getting a Touch Pro which I assume will have the same speaker as the Diamond and I'm wondering if you who have one will give me the heads up.
What's the quality/dynamic range like?
Is it loud?
Does it distort too much at higher volume levels?
I know some may question what I can expect from a phone speaker, lol, but there can be differences.
Thanks.
Not good. The sound is thin, so as the phone.
That was honest and helpful.
Thanks.

the sound from mine is fine, works like a charm.
The external speaker is for voice, if you want it to play "decent" music get some headphones or plug it into a stereo.
Could you tell me which music player you are using??
I am using the default player in TouchFlo3D. Tried built in speaker, bundled headphone, and my own headphone with 35mm mini plug adapter...all sound like old AM radio. No bass and high pitch is a bit scratchy.
Bluetooth A2DP + my headphone is much better, though far from perfect.

im using the builtin one, what encoding are you're MP3's?
Checked Media Properties by CorePlayer:
Audio: MPEG Layer-3
Codec: CoreMP3
Audio Format: 44100Hz 2Ch
Data Bit Rate: 320kbit/s
Duration ~4mins
FileSize ~10MB
Thanks walshieau. My problem with headphone is solved. It was due to buggy Audio Booster. More detail here:

Of course I agree with you that we can't expect too much from the built in speaker.
Sound from external speaker
I have Pocket Player for my TD and it has an equalizer built in that you can customize. I have the sound from my external speaker sounding very good, ( I think) with Bass. It doesnt rock my pocket...but...its much better than it was. I find it very acceptable.
not good for mp3 ringtone it like the speaker cant Handle it
the sound get crap when you turn up the volume
such a small speaker will never sounds that great no matter what

Of course. This is the answer
HastaSSSS
I come from a nokia 7710 (first real touch screen in the world) and that speaker was LOUD, the one on Diamond is kindo bad. Forget about bassss.
gbye.
Yeah, I think the problem is not just the quality, but the loudness too.
If you use this with a Sat nav program (e.g., TomTom), at the maximum volume the audio commands are not loud enough when driving and with the car's radio on
Anybody knows of any trick/tweak to modify the volume range on Diamond, even if it gets distorted, as I really just need loudness for sat nav directions.
Hi guys,
Is there any mod to improve the audio volume from the rear speaker?
especially with youtube it's very low instead with sygic navigator is good
thanks
i think it varies by the video. make sure HQ is on

it is on but every video have low volume
Yeah, a software pre-amp volume boost would be great.
It's not just Youtube.
I listen to a lot of podcasts that are nearly inaudible on my N1 without headphones.
This would be pretty sweet. I use the audio jack to connect to my car to play over the radio since i dont have a fancy aux jack in my car radio. It is not nearly as loud as the normal radio. I cant drive w/ the windows down because i cant her the music at max volume.
Hey
I have a problem that the music palyer often is oversteering, especially with EQ actiavted. I'm listening to rock. I think overall the sound isn't very good and often hurts the ears. Is it just me or is something wrong with my phone?

It depend on what eq setting you have.Increasing bass causes severe headache for me and increasing treble causes ear pain so always i keep eq in auto
No, even with the standard EQ it's sometimes painful to listen to rock music on this device.
I dont feel so.sorry cant help you
It may depend on the music/bands you listen to. But f.e. with the Rock EQ almost all Metallica Songs are totally oversteering. Tested two different headphones.

Hearing with your headphone? Then it maybe the problem with the headphone.Try reducing the volume in both headphone(if possible) and in phone
Has anyone else noticed how quiet the output of audio on this phone? When connecting to external speakers or even just headphones via the headphone jack, it doesn't seem as loud as it should be when turned up to the full.
Hi ...I've never set volume to max ...music must be as loud as natural concet listening ...I don't understand people who get max level and get ears hurt
I watched one documentary yesterday and sound was quite bad (old movie from YouTube) then I plug my headphones (original Z1) and I discovered whole new world of sound.
Great sound, deep, crisp and loud.
So no, I don't have those problems.
If I have good source I have great sound.
And I agree with guy above me - extremely loud music is bad for you but it's also distorted and unnatural.
You should find well coded sounds (if it's coded) and you'll see it's loud enough.

Here is the scenario, I had my laptop using spotify connected to some pretty powerful speakers, and was able to get the volume really loud. I then put the same spotify playlist on my xperia z1 and even when turned up full it was no where near as loud. The same when watching youtube on my girlfriends iphone, when turned up to the full its deafening, but watching the same video on the z1 on a bus or train, you can hardly hear it.

You have to go in the audio settings and turn on the X-Loud etc etc in the walkman settings... That should help a bit otherwise I have no idea...

Yes this seemed to work (a bit), I turned up the equalizer settings too. thank you
So the built in EQ seems to work lovely when I plug in my headphones on anything like Pandora, YouTube and even notification noises on my phone. However, if I just use the phone speaker the equalizer has no effect at all. Not a single change in sound from Extreme Bass to Vocalizer setting when watching YouTube and Pandora. Does anyone know why it only works via headphones and not over the phone speaker?
Seems to work just fine for me. Having owned an HTC One before this, the external speaker quality is a definite step back. That said, I can notice a difference when I change the equalizer settings, albeit the fact that the audio pauses between settings (when playing on YouTube) makes it harder to tell.

weird
Can you test it on Pandora too? I really can't tell a difference only when headphones are plugged in
I think I can, however like YouTube it is a very subtle difference between even what should be opposite ends of eq. (Extreme bass brilliant treble)
Edit: I noticed the largest difference when using Play Music.

I think Pandora is the only thing that doesn't let the equalizer affect for some reason. It's just weird on headphones it works amazing
