Hi !
I have a Huawei P10 and it refuse to turn on.
Here are the different situations :
- When the phone isn't plugged in and I try to turn it on, the notification led flashes red quickly.
- When I charge the phone, the notification led flashes red quickly (again).
- If I unplug the battery, and charge the phone, it turn on with Huawei logo and Android logo and after few seconds, restart, again and again (no bootanimation)
- I can boot into fastboot mode
- With DC Phoenix, it's indicated "Battery Voltage : 0mV"
- I have changed the battery with a new one -> same result
- I have changed the recharge management card -> same result
I just want retrieve my photos (no backup in cloud)
Do you have any idea ?
Thanks and sorry for my bad english.
Maybe it's a software issue or the logic board has a hardware fault. Is your phone's bootloader unlocked and can you install and boot into TWRP?
It's also possible that the USB port is damaged. But then the phone should boot with a new battery until it's empty.
If it's the logic board there are no chances to get your data back without advanced electronics knowledge and the right tools (you could solder your memory chip onto a new logic board...but it's very hard).
If you can access TWRP, do a backup of your data or copy it manually to SD and do factory reset.

Unfortunately my bootloader is locked, so impossible to install TWRP :/
I also changed the recharge management card so the USB port is new.
And I do not have access to the stock recovery either
The battery is connected to the logic board directly, so maybe there's the fault. But there's not a good chance to repair this. Only chance is a professional repair shop but I think they will change the whole logic board, so all your data is gone.

Hum... :/ And you have an idea if I can override the battery check at startup? Because I suppose that if it bootloop, it's because of that.
Thank you for everything anyway

Hi all.
I've got a malfunctioning diamond, the data usb connectors must have been disconnected from the phone.
I want to send it in for repair, but i have a bepe rom on it, i am afraid my service provider wont repair it because of the voided warranty by flashing a non-stock rom on my device.
Is there anyway i can transfer the stockrom (yes i have it) to my device, and flash it from there? I can charge my device.
If not, is it possible to overclock the cpu so the device will be destroyed or something in that direction?
-Heien.
Well, you could try to find the problem yourself by using the service manual in the wiki. Or...I can think of many ways you could "destroy" the phone.
please give me inspiration ?

Microwaves leave serious burn marks on the PCB's absolutely not recommended, any technician will recognize the obvious tamper.
There are several ways to brick a device, but these kind of practices are not condoned here, so this info will not be made public!
(Don't even try to PM me about it, I will ignore all PM's regarding this question, no exceptions!)
@heien
A lose usb connector can sometimes easily be fixed by using an SMD rework station (if the PCB traces are undamaged.
If the traces are damaged, you'll be in need of a new main board.
The biggest job on the diamond is to disassemble it, it takes up a lot of time.
But the repair itself would be fairly simple.
Don't even try it with a soldering Iron (ext-usb leads have a small footprint), you should use an SMD/SMT hot air rework station, or better ask a mate who has the experience and access to equipment for these kind of repairs.
Best of luck,
EqX
if u are taking it for a hardware malfunction why be worried about what ROM do you have?
do u think they'll (technicians) check the ROM version you have? why bother? they'll dismantle it and repair/change the mother board. maybe you'll got a diamond with a new motherboard and a new-stock ROM.
@ eqx
Thank you for the very kind, but nerdy suggestion I'm afraid my ten thumbs would kill the phone permanently.
@Kukuriku
is this something you have experienced, or ? but i get your point, maybe i should just turn it in tomorrow..
Are you sure the problem is hardware related?
I have pretty much the same problem as you. My diamond can charge through the usb port but cannot be detected by any PC (I tried several PCs). I also use bepe rom (9.7).

No. I have tried entering bootloader mode via bluetooth or with SSPL-Manual.exe but it’s still not detected.
The PC sometimes shows the "new peripheral detected" icon in the taskbar, but it disappears after a few seconds. The phone also shows me the menu (asking me to choose between activesync , storage disk and internet sharing).
PS: I have tried soft and hard resets

bootloader via bluetooth? i mean the Tri color boot screen.
while the phone is off, press volume down and power it on.
then connect pc via usb. "usb should appear on screen"
try flashing other that bepe's rom. it might be a software issue.

Thanks, but so far I haven't managed to get it to display "USB".
Either it shows "serial" or it shows nothing
basically my usb port is f***ed...
I'm stuck with a 1 month old phone that I can't flash or send back to orange for repair/exchange
+ I can only transfer files on it by bluetooth!
So my phone someday just went off and won't boot again, I tried power button+volume up,down and even both, I tried to use light above sensor and when I plug it to my PC it is recognized as Quallcomm HS-USB QDLoader 9008
It's hardbricked. Im not going into the details, there are already a huge amount of threads explaining it (search for qhsusb_dload). Sorry for your phone

It probably need a new motherboard. When phones are going in this mode it's either a bad firmware/incompatible firmware flash or a an hardware problem. Since nothing was flashed and your phone went in this mode it's most likely an hardware problem = Hardbrick

Your data in on the emmc chip, it is soldered to the MB. It can in theory be removed and soldered back to another board to retrieve the data on it but it's not an easy task, definitively requires special tools and knowledge.
The MB can be replaced at home if you have good dexterity and are very careful not damaging the tiny extra fragile parts (I.e flex cables). There is a good tutorial on iFixIt.com something to consider: it might be cheaper to get another M7 than replacing the MB. There are a few of them under 100$ on ebay.
Hello forum! I own a smartphone S3 mini model GT-i8190n with rom stock, root, recovery cwm and usb debugging disabled (I think).
Because of a problem with the battery I was restarting myself very often during the boot and I was forced to keep it constantly on charge ...
The other day ago to reboot but does not start and does not turn on any more, not making time to receive the new battery.
So far I tried to turn it on in all ways, including recovery and download mode, but nothing. Connecting it to the PC via USB I get a new device called U8500 USB ROM, but it connects and disconnects indefinitely and fails to install the drivers.
Could I try some solutions in this way?
I've heard of Jtag to unlock the phone and a particular image debrick.img, but I would absolutely not format anything, nor lose any data, just reactivate the bootloader.
Can I have some information on this method (steps to perform, necessary material, etc.) and if I format the phone? Is any of you able to perform this procedure by the right means?
I apologize if I have violated any rule of the regulation, in which case I will reserve the right to modify the post.
Please help me to solve ... for me it is very important!
Thanks to all those who will respond !!

I hope so, but the symptoms it presents (both during the charge, which does not happen, that connecting it to the PC), do not think anything good ...
Now replace the battery, but does not want to wake up. Please help me to solve the problem with other solutions. I do not want to throw the phone.:crying::crying:

Does the Led on the screen turn on if you connected your phone to Usb-charger?
If not, there could be a problem with mainboard or LCD.
If yes, could be a problem with LCD.
It is not conducive for a long lifetime to use the device often during the charching.

This smartphone has not any status LEDs.
Now if it is charging does not give any sign of life.
So I assume it is "dead" and the only way to try to resurrect it is through jtag. Correct? Someone who can recommend me something in this way?

Are you sure that the Usb-port works?
Did you try a full charged battery?
Hi!
Please help me!
I installed custom ROM(no SeLinux support) and tested two partitioning programs.
ROEHSOFT PARTITION TOOL
and
ROEHSOFT DRIVE-EXPERT
I did a partition recovery and reboot the phone.
Since then, it doesn't turn on, doesn't charge, no led feedback, can't see the pc, and no fastboot mode, completely dead.
I disassembled, disconnected the battery, but nothing happened.
Died?
What can you do with it even if your PC can't see it?
The two partition programs, in stock rom, did not start, but this rom (selinux is inactive) was ran.
What happened to him being completely dead?
THX

Obvious question, have you made sure it’s turned off before you try to boot it? The screen might just be black but the unit still on.
Hold down Vol up (+) and power together until the phone vibrates three times. Wait a couple of seconds, then press the power button once to try and start it.
As long as the screen wakes up, then you’re in with a chance of getting PC Companion or Flashtool to see it and rescue it.
This was an unlocked phone? If no, then there's a slim chance that you haven't done any permenent damage and you might be able to re-flash.
If you don’t get any joy from a reset, then you have rodgered your partition table and there isn’t any way to bring it back from that.
@dustinzahn, in my opinion, changing partition is very risky. Most likely it is a brick already, no way to recover, if it does not enter fastboot nor sony flash mode.

Hi Guys!
Thanx the answers.
BUT...
XZ1 C doesn't have a testpoint like Z1?

THX!
Yes, unlocked, but hiding J4nn-s kernel, OEM closed the menu.
I tried everything.
It doesn't vibrate, can't detect the PC.
In old xperia's, touching testpoint fixed this and entered fastboot.
I can't find a testpoint on this.

Hi!
This picture is low quality, but the f*ucking Ilike phone's camera is ****.
"only my English is worse than that. "

Do you know the IMEI number?
You could register the phone on the Sony Warranty site , then call the helpdesk and say it's stopped working.
You might be required to provide some proof of purchase, but if it's within two years of its original sale, then it's covered by warranty (EU &UK).
Don't worry if you didn't buy it new, the warranty moves with the phone, not the purchaser. If it was sold through a service provider, putting the IMEI number in will tell you when it was origally sold and what, if any, warraty is left.
Edit: might be a bit late if you've pulled it apart

Sorry, I thought they had posted pics of an Z1C. Unless there is anything under those heat shield things you might be out of luck.
These are much better pictures, I removed the battery, there are a few testpoint candidates.
The battery was glued and not easy to remove.

And the results of your testing?
I give up.
Sorry, my English is not very good, I use the google translator, I'm trying to be understandable.
Stupid Sony designed the motherboard that the test point section right on the bottom half. The phone must be disassembled from the display side.
It's almost impossible to press the test point and while using the usb.
I also broke the flex cable, and I was tired and irritated, so the display cable also damaged.
I tried all the existing "test points" , but nothing happened. He probably didn't survive the procedure.
If the motherboard is good, the display and the USB flex replacement is almost a used XZ1C price, so it landed in the drawer. It'll be good for decoration.
But I found my first smartphone, a sony ERICSSON Mt15i, Neo.
I was originally a Sony Ericcson fan.
The touch screen is bad, but I've already assigned it.
I have a z1 compact, there's the power + volume flex cable must replace, I also ordered it.
Neo now works with an OTG + mouse, but the Z1 Compact does not turn on without a button, only indicates charging.
The Hungarian Sony support was big ****, and the Hungarian warranty service doesn't want to help, even though I told them it's the phone no longer a warranty, all I'm asking is that you help me identify the test point.
But no, they're just indoctrinate me, and they think it can only be repaired by replacing a motherboard.
Yesterday I bought a Xiaomi MI Note 10 phone. It's awesome.
I hope the russel5's [Treble/Pie/XZ1c] crDroid will be there as well.
I liked this ROM, but the disabled SeLinux is a big problem, I think the problematic apk is because of what killed the phone. The STOCK and [Treble/Pie/XZ1c] AOSP Extended ROM did not start the apk, even though i gave him root right.
I think the CrDroid ROM's disabled SeLinux let it run.
Maybe the apk was infected, but I use Malwerbyte and Kaspersky.
The Apk name is ROEHSOFT PARTITION TOOL SD-USB and I download from the Aptoide.
I know I'm a ****ing idiot.
Partition program should not have been downloaded from there.

My rog phone 3 (tencent), which i brought about 6 months ago. I never had any issues like this.
The other day i opened my camera and suddenly the front camera was not working. I restarted the phone, did factory reset, cleared camera data, but nothing solved the issue. I thought i have to upgrade the firmware. So i downloaded the new firmware (2012.143) and connected the usb c cable with my laptop ( lenovo ideapad 320) , but it did not recognize. i tried both ports. I never had this problem before. I unlocked the bootloader, i thought it might help. I also turned on the developer option and selected FTP protocol and USB debugging. But it still didn't connect. while i was trying to enter bootloader recovery mode I accidently put the phone on EDL mode and now its bricked . The indicator light is flashing when i connect to the pc but the PC isn't recognizing the port ( i downloaded the qualcomm EDL driver on my laptop also, but the port option is not showing at all). Is it hardware problem, But the phone was charging just fine.
please suggest some help
Sounds like a hardware malfunction or damage to something on the board (burnt out microchip or resistor something along those lines) something a cell phone or repair shop could have fixed but.. it sounds like you bricked it in combination with the other issue which your best bet now is a new rog phone and sell your current one for parts or repair.. just because the cost to repair it would probably be more than what it is worth as it would require professional repair.

Bro my phone turned on, and it functioned normally, i didn't brick it, it was probably battery dead, i charged it for hours and it turned on.. But how do you fix a power IC that supply power from the battery . Is it the one in the (picture) , Because sometimes when it charge it gives only the green light and black screen.
