Hi, I've unlocked my xiaomi mi 8 se bootloader and i try to flash twrp recovery and xiaomi.eu rom, but every time i reboot the device he goes in bootloop and when i try to turn off the device and to acess the recovery, the device goes in bootloop. So every time I have to reinstall the recovery and then the ROM again. But for every recovery and rom i tried the device goes in bootloop. I tried every twrp on the forum and also some Rom but the device doesn't want turn on. Can you help me, pls? thanks and sorry for my english
You need to format data in twrp, reboot to recovery in twrp, do a factory reset then flash eu rom.
or use this twrp https://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=78047648&postcount=14

I had also bootloop problem but got it working with this twrp https://drive.google.com/file/d/1X39kp3oBz-SYD-fNK-uEgD6VlUUG-WMq/view
1. Boot twrp
2. Wipe -> format data then reboot, transfer rom to device, enter to fastbootmode and boot twrp again
3. install rom and after that wipe dalvik and cache
4. now it should work
The rom what i installed was xiaomi eu stable
i found another twrp and now i have xiaomi.eu dev, thanks for the help

what twrp?
I installed the twrp mentioned by maketzu111. Then I wiped data. Then rebooted into the twrp
Then I flashed "xiaomi.eu_multi_MI8SE_V10.0.1.0.OEBCNFH_v10-8.1.zip" from the miui 10.1 stable sourceforge page. It is stuck on the mi splash-logo for a very long time. what's happening?

You did format the data? What i have read it's the main reason why device goes bootloop if you didn't do that. Rom isn't installed properly if the device stuck to bootloop or in this case stucks to loading screen

I'm on twrp and I can't install any aosp rom anymore. format "yes", install fw 0.9.0. start with the flash seems to be all right, reboot system and get stuck on MI and nothing happens, try again with another rom and it is the same. I returned to the initial state with XiaomiFlash, I install twrp, I redo all the procedures and start again as before. any idea about it?
if i install a rom xiaomi.eu with twrp the phone works, if i install a rom always with different twrp inside it does not install anything. It had never happened to me, the problem appeared after I tried xiaomi.eu 12 how do you suggest me to proceed?

Unfortunately you're not very clear with what you did. So I only can assume that you probably didn't flash vbmeta.

Hello all,
so i have an strange issue here. after installing magisk canary yesterday evening, i ended up in a bootloop.
so i stayed pretty cool and went to twrp, used magisk uninstaller and thought hmm okay ****, still not booting, not even shows the boot animation now.
stuck at the MI logo, flicks one time, and then stuck again.
so trying to reflash magisk then with 20.4, but nothing changed.
i ended up doing a full wipe, downloading the latest v12 vendor global and reflashed the rom.
booted up all fine. set it all up again, did a random restart, without doing stuff.
boot animation....10 minutes..
restarted stuck at mi logo again.
not even the system is trying to get up.
now i can wipe verything, vendor, data, system, dalvik, whatsoever, i wiped everything, flashed vendor again, installed rom.
nothing... stuck at the MI logo.
any ideas?
many thanks
If you're flashing recovery ROM i suggest you use fastboot ROM

From stock MIUI.
Install TWRP
Boot into TWRP
Do a factory reset
Format data - Format not wipe, need to type yes to confirm
Reboot to recovery (TWRP)
Flash custom ROM
Flash GApps if needed/wanted
Boot into the ROM
Everything should be good
Flash Magisk if required
Do not wipe any other partitions in TWRP, the factory reset is enough.
Make sure you format data in TWRP - don't miss this step out.
If you're doing this immediately after flashing MIUI, you must boot into MIUI once to finalise the installation.
Yes format data not wipe.
when i flash custom rom, even i am not on miui i first format data with yes in twrp then reboot to twrp. I put rom and gapps to internal memory, and install rom and gapps. and when finish reboot to system, when phone restart it stack at mi logo, so i have to go back to twrp and do again format data with typing yes, and then reboot to system and it works. so no wipe data, format data with typing yes.
oh and i thought, wipe is the same as format.... :/
works like charm. booted up successfully evo x with vendor 12 global.

If you want to change to a different ROM, or if you want to update Evo x, then the safest way is to remove lockscreen security before flashing. This will remove encryption, which will allow you to clean flash a new ROM, or dirty flash an update, without any issues caused by encryption.
Once your done, add the lockscreen security back.

I'm getting the same problem, is there any fix?
Hello,
I've installed twrp 3.4.0.1 via fastboot, but after I select yes when i'm asked about erasing my data, the phone just boot up normally without deleting any of my data, but does not enter twrp either. Tried 3.4.0.0 too, no luck. Only 3.3.1.0 worked, but when I try to backup it says something like 'can't mount system partition' and some other errors. I think that version is too old for my rom, so I'm afraid to use it for backup/flash. My phone is LG G6 H870, Android 9, software version V30b. The phone is not rooted, the bootloader is unlocked. Tried to erase cache partition and install twrp 3.4.01 again, didn't work. I can't install Skyhawk or Orangefox becuase I can't use twrp.
Is anybody facing this problem too?
Thanks!

HI You need to use OrangeFox recovery or SkyHawk. If you plan to go to 10, then you need SkyHawk. And I think SkyHawk is maintained but OrangeFox not.

So can I install SkyHawk via fastboot over stock recovery without installing twrp beforehand? I see there are multiple files in the shyhawk zip, should I only extract the recovery img and install it via fastboot? I'm kinda new to this, thanks!

HI. It is made to flash in TWRP (same as OrangFox) So I really don't know if that recovery.img flashing through Fastboot works. Never tried, sorry.
Maybe someone knows though.

Ok, thanks, I'll try to find a solution, or maybe I'll just wait for the next version of twrp.
You should try installing the recovery and immediately installing any custom rom, when i flashed twrp the first time i had to do it several times cause somehow it got "erased" every time i noot the stock OS.
Ig you don't want to install a custom rom try right after installing twrp and on the fastboot screen to reboot to recovery with (Volume - ) button and power.
I think the idea is not letting the Stock os boot
Also that error. i have the same problem, the only moment it doesn't appear is when you wipe all data with the "Format Data" option inside "Wipe" menu in twrp.
After you boot to the OS once and go back to recovery it will come again everytime you flash something.
Not sure if its a problem or not, because i've dirty installed some updates and also installed gapps and magisk even with that error.
Im currently in A10 using Havoc and NikGapps.
TWRP 3.2.3-0

Yes, I know I have to install twrp again every time I let the stock rom boot, but the only version of twrp working is 3.2.3 and I think that was released before the G6 received official Android 9 update, so that's why I'm not very confident using it. I've tried to enter recovery immediately after I've installed it, so I don't think that's the problem.
I have the same problem on the LG G6 H870. I won't get to TWRP. I tried several versions of TWRP and nothing.
Edit.
This twrp is functional:
https://androidfilehost.com/?w=files&flid=289997
After installation using fastboot, restart directly to twrp using power+vol. down.
Finally i've successfully flashed Skyhawk using TWRP 3.3.1, so thanks everyone for advice!
Still couldn't make official TWRP 3.4.0/3.4.0.1 work.

Hi, I don't know if this goes here, I hope you can help me, I update twrp from version 3.1 to 3.4 and now I can't access twrp, how can I fix it?
Hello again, I answer myself, and if it helps someone else, using adb fastboot with twrp 3.2 Melina solves it and twrp works perfectly again.
Hi everyone...
I've updated my phone from MIUI 13 (stable global rom) to MIUI 14 via OTA, installed Magisk via the OTA option, and then reboot the phone in Magisk.
Then, the phone keeps showing the boot up screen (black ground with a white MI icon only) for a while, and shows a screen with following options: reboot, wipe data, connect to MI assistance, and safe mode.
I tried reboot and safe mode, but both return to the screen with 4-options above.
Now my phone got stuck in the bootloop.
What should I do? Does anyone encounter the same problem and fixed?
Thank you.
My phone's details:
- Xiaomi 12 pro Chinese model
- Bootloader unlocked
- MIUI global stable rom
- Magisk v25.2 installed
- No TWRP

At first no, flash the same rom currently on the phone but if that does not work you will have to format the data.
Tried a backup with the TWRP on OTG key.
