Hello for Everyone!
I've a SAM Galaxy TAB 8.9 (GT-P7300) branded for T-Mobile (TMH). There are few of strange things about it.
The first: can not communicate with my PC and with my laptop. On PC runs WIN7 x86, on laptop I use Ubuntu 10.4 (Studio). I had installed the USB drivers for WIN, and the only thing is happened after plugging the USB-cable WIN wrote: "Can't identifying the plugged in Android device". The Ubuntu doesn't recognize my tablet
The second: I can not reach the Bootloader mode, download mode. When I push the VOL down at same time with the POWER ON nothing happens.:crying:
The third: after some minutes of sleeping mode of the device (for example: charging, not using) it POWER OFF. Or...something like this...blank black display and nothing happens if I push any of the buttons. Pushing about 20 secs of POWER ON button resulting a reboot.
The device is in stock 3.2 .
Any ideas what can I do for rooting process nad for custom ROM?

On your second point, to reach bootloader, turn on tab, wait until the moment the samsung logo pops up, then press volume down (the one closer to power button).
To root, add custom recovery and ROM, read the stickies in the android development forum. These may help your other problems. There are several reasons why your computers fail to recognize your tab. I would try different usb ports and cords if you can. I would install kies on the windows pc and see if that recognizes the tab. If none of that works, it may be a hardware problem.

Thanx for your quick reply. There are few cganges about the problems. Here they are:
The second problem about the bootloader and download mode is off. I picked parts of the device and there was a liitle problem with the VOL buttons...repaired and everything is fine with it.
The first problem about the communication is half-solved. On SAMSUNG laptop without (!!!) any drivers works fine the device. Flashed with a "stock" 4.0.4 (Checz) no boot, just splashed on the SAMSUNG logo. After ODIN-flashed one-file other ROM it was very nice...everything goes.
But the third problem is here after the good-flashing, too. In sleep mode or long not-usage periods it is something like POWER OFF.... During the picking to parts period some of the pieces (battery, flexes) were supervised...everything is normal. I think the device's main panel is wrong, but I don't know how I could look at it and fix it.
So, my husband had a Mi5 64GB phone, the bootloader is unlocked, xiaomi.eu latest stable multi-rom was on it.
A couple of weeks ago it went dead all of a sudden. There was no live in it at all. I could not put it on, it was not recognized it was not recognised by the pc (I never linked it to the pc, so I had to install adb and miflash), no fastboot, no bootloader, nothing at all.
When charging the phone stayed cool, there were no lights, no blinking lights, again nothing.
So, as it was still in the guarantee period, I send it to a technician and got it back working again, the latest xiaomi.eu development rom was installed by the technician.
In the meanwhile my husband bought a new phone, and, as I had dropped my Mi3, I could upgrade to his Mi5.
But, after cleaning up the phone, I had some problems. I flashed something with TWRP, which worked, it booted up to miui. Then I wanted to reboot and the phone just Now, only two weeks after the repair, the phone again drops dead, exactly the same as the previous time. So I decided not to send it to the technician, as it is in another country and I have to pay the sending cost and it obviously did not do much.
What I then did get off the backpart of the phone, unscrew the top part of the phone (yes, I now broke the seal, bye bye guarantee) and I did the test point method multiple times. I did it after 'charging' the whole night. Sadly, this does not work. The computer does not recognise the phone.
What I also tried was holding a number of key combinations down a couple minutes (volume up + volume down + power), (volume down + power) and (volume up + power). So, I am now out of ideas.
The phone seems really dead, but the technician also got it working again... so I know there has to be a way to solve the problem.
Does anyone have a good suggestion (except from giving up, take my lossed and bury the phone)?
Last time i had my phone completely dead like this i held fastboot combination for 5 minutes then fastboot mode came up. And then oressing twrp combination, twrp came up and the rest was fine laterwards. I had this issue 3 times till now. And solved it similarly

Thanks, I will try this. With or without the phone plugged into the charger?

Well, power + volume down for 5 minutes does not give me anything (not charging).
Well, I tried it again and now it did work! Thank you!!!!

So, what I gather now with bricked Mi5 with unlocked bootloader is the following.
If the Mi5 is dead (black screen, no way to get it on), no charging light even when charging, then:
a) If it is recognised by the PC with Qualcomm 9008 try to solve it with the test points method
b) If it is not recognised by the PC, try to hold the power button + volume (= fastboot mode) down for 5 minutes or so (perhaps a couple tries are needed) and then when the bunny is on the screen power button + volume up (= recovery mode) to solve it. What I did do was charge it for a while before trying this.

If you want qualcomm 9008 open correctly then u should have to disconnect battery strips form phone's board then perform test points with proper 9008 drivers then see the results.

Hi everyone!
I was on call yesterday working from home (due to Covid-19 effects) when my P30 pro shut down and started doing boot loops. I tried the following remedies so far but to no avail:
1. Drain the battery and try recharging and open - it never goes to recharging screen the moment I plug it, it just goes straight to boot loop.
2. Press volume button up+power - never goes to EMUI screen.
3. Connect to PC via USB and press button down+up - It opens to fastboot&recovery screen but my HiSuite opens saying device is not supported for erecovery and not found.
4. Tried downloading all external apps i can find - Hardly find anything for Huawei and the rest that I do, requires USB debugging mode which I actually can't get into.
I'm currently trying ADB and stuff but it seems it doesn't even find my device. I also don't recall updating any systems (auto or manual) nor installed any new applications yesterday.
I hope someone out there can help me... If not, at least provide suggestions to get my files back... I have recent important files there that I haven't loaded into Cloud yet and it really pains me to realize I'm losing them...
Thanks in advance!
Regards,
Mark Sy
Did not find any info after googling for an hour. The problem is that after the touch was broken I tried to different methods, mainly adb, to connect phone to pc and to pull off the data. The problem emerged after i prompted reboot option in EMUI recovery mode. It did reboot but after that click the phone now has black screen. The display lights up but is all black - theres no huawei logo or anything. Only thing i can confirm that happens is that if i connect the phone to the pc, it launches the huawei installer option and install MTP device in device manager.
Would like to have any sort of recommendation what to do to get it back to show the logos and such and maybe an alternative way to pull out the data from the phone - pictures, videos etc.
Phone is not rooted, bootloader is locked - in short, everything is stock.
Hello,
Today I didn't notice that I need to charge my phone, so it eventually turned itself off. Later I knew I received an important SMS that I wanted to check but I didn't have the charger at hand so I tried to turn it on twice. Both times the Mi logo showed up, then the phone immediately turned off. The 3rd time I tried to turn it on, nothing happened.
When I was finally able to connect a charger, nothing happened. The screen doesn't turn on, the Mi logo or battery logo doesn't show up, the small LED doesn't react either. The charger was heating up so I knew something is happening so I left my phone there. When the charger started to cool down I knew that the charging is done, so I tried to turn on my phone again but nothing happened.
I have TWRP 3.3.1-0 and LineageOS 16.0 20200422 Nightly installed.
I have tried to press Pwr+VolUp but nothing happened.
I have tried Pwr+VolDn and FASTBOOT showed up. From here I tried to reboot by holding either Pwr or Pwr+VolUp or Pwr+VolDn.
By holding Pwr+VolUp or Pwr+VolDn the device turns off.
By holding the Pwr button, the Mi logo shows up for a split second then the phone turns off.
At this point I stayed in FASTBOOT and connected my phone to my PC and tried to use the Flasher Toolkit Nikel V3 (the tool I used when I installed TWRP and the custom ROM and whenever a LineageOS update bricked the phone) to reboot or boot into recovery, TWRP.
The phone doesn't react to any commands which is really strange, never had this issue before.
If I try fastboot boot twrp-3.3.1-0-santoni.img I get the error "unlock device to use this command." Which is really really strange because I had it unlocked before.
So currently I cannot turn on my phone, I can only reach FASTBOOT and nothing else. My main goal would be to backup data (photos etc), reviving the phone is only secondary.
I was searching the whole day on the internet and couldn't find anything that helped.
Any help is highly appreciated.
Try charging with different USB and charger.
Also you may want to remove the back panel and disconnect the battery connecter from motherboard and reconnect it after few seconds and try charging with charger.
Proceed carefully if you wish to remove back panel in order to not damage any device components to be precise the fingerprint flex cable which is glued to back panel.
This is what helped me to revive my phone but I couldn't find any trusted stock ROM sources so I installed a stock ROM from androidmtk.com and xiaomistockrom.com.
Can someone please tell me if they are safe or not? And if not, can someone please link me a Redmi 4X stock ROM I could use with the XiaoMi Flash Tool?
Also, it seems the phone cannot detect anything in the 2nd SIM slot. How can I fix it?
