As the title says, next update will bring Gestures, improved AR features, optimizations for some popular apps and November security patch
Currently I'm using fluid navigation app, but I can't wait for native support to come!

yeah:good: Navi dock and Gestures working fine.
Rather than be happy, im quite worried. Maybe they are bringing gestures because the p smart wont be updated to emui 9?

I beg to differ because P Smart belongs to the Android Enterprise Recommended program and as such it is guaranteed to receive AT LEAST one version upgrade, as well as security updates every 90 days (top). So, I think we'll just have to be patient

am on lx1 and i have gesture navigation. updated with HRU updater
With my experience, with the gestures update, Themes doesn't 100% work, settings doesn't theme anymore, navigation bar doesn't theme anymore, the icons in the notification settings don't change, only icons and wallpaper changes in that update, not sure if Huawei has updated their theme engine and themes have to be re-done or if it is something Huawei has accidentally broken

Well i live in Iran and most of the time I have to turn on my vpn to even get an update maybe you should try with a vpn too?

You know if the firmware finder still works because i find my firmware , its aproveed but nothing works i tried in proxy and dns but i dont find the update when i go in phone update.

To my surprise, yesterday I received an OTA update, details are on the screenshot. I don't notice any visible changes but it's good to have an updated phone with some security fixes at least. Hopefully we'll get Oreo soon.

i didn't expect any changes and well aware that it's only a patch release, but very often people talk about some changes like improved performance of camera and so on, so i mentioned that nothinng changed.
That's why it's called a PATCH. Improvement and bug fixes as usual. That's the difference you want to see. Who in this world expect it to be another OS duh!

There are no changes in speed/ camera performance because they are preparing oreo.. i guess.. so the fixes will be available in that update
Yesterday EMUI 9.0 was introduced in India and although it will be officially out of the box on October 16 at the Mate 20 launch, other Huawei smartphones already started receiving the Beta. Latest info comes about the Honor Play with its serial number COR-L29, offered mainly in Europe and Middle East. The phone is eligible for the 9.0.0.110 build that brings new Android and UI features.
The build number is COR-L29C185E303R1P8B115 or COR-L29C432E303R1P8B110, depending on the actual unit. It brings some features like Adaptive Battery, Adaptive Brightness, Android Dashboard (which is actually Digital Wellbeing), GPU Turbo 2.0 and plenty of design improvements. There is also the standard security patch, dated October 2018.
If you aren’t into Beta variants, you should wait a bit more, but given the Honor Play has top-notch Kirin 970, will be among the first devices that will receive EMUI 9.0, based on Android Pie and it should arrive by the end of 2018.

The one on FF is meant for my device but it is not approved for installation - according to firmware availability test. I am going to try to install it after downloading it.

Okay. I mean what I got from FF app. The firmware size is actually 858MB compressed and 1.1GB when extracted and it fails to install though.

I don't have any Micro-SD card and I would have tried to use it to do the installation as the internal installation process failed.
I tried the Micros-SD Update it got to 5% and rebooted to normal booting. We have to wait for the official release.

Nobody has come forward to say they have installed Android Pie Beta in Honor Play. I have tried all the methods possible and didn't work for me.
I just force my phone to run Pie with VPN, is December update already come out?

No he is not confused cos that's how I got pie too weird but working glitch where you factory wipe device remove SIM card out of slot quickly skip all step then disable location then download vpn setting to Netherland and it triggered the pie update in settings it worked so yeah...I too have the same question what's the difference in December version

Pathetic. This is the first update since August 2019 and all they do is send out a security patch. No bug fixes whatsoever. Where the Fuk is Android 10?

I installed the update, and everything is working so far.
Are you rooted? Is that the problem?
Have you tried clearing the cache from recovery?
You can't update your rooted phone and root doesn't work in new update.

I have none of those bugs. Maybe they have quality control issues, and you have a defective unit.
My phone is literally perfect. Love it.

Sow post about pixel new camera, it work on our pixel 3a didnt find bug so far. To install it you need to download apkmirror instaler from playstore. The last version 8.1 worked here

Yep got it yesterday but the only thing that has changed was the interface I was expecting the cinematic pas and portait nightsight but non of that came with the 8.1update

Yep, got it too finally, it's like you say it. I dont think we will get all the updates that newer models take, A) because of processing power maybe B) because google must sell more newer phones, so if it gives you everything on the older model, you won't buy a new one so soon.
I wish i had the 2 highlight/shadow sliders, would be very handy...
