I have bought Xperia X Performance So-04h docomo
I have latest Android 8 Oreo installed. Problem is that phone is taking too much time to charge and the ram usage is higher. Can I downgrade to previous firmwares just like Android Noughat or marshmallow without any problem please help if someone tried it.
Senior Members please help
Don't downgrade. I do not think it will help cause this phone comes with a lot of bloatwares. You need to run the debloat script to remove all of them especially the Docomo stuffs.
Or alternative would be to flash it with Global rom.

As far as I understand (which isn't very much, to be honest), you probably can't flash the ATT version to your phone. But if you're interested in rooting your phone and all that, you can probably flash different ROMs that will keep you up to date with the newest Android releases, like CyanogenMod, Paranoid Android, AOKP, OmniROM, etc. I don't have all the technical know-how, and I won't tell you which ROMs are "best" or even which are available; you can always check out the Android Development section for that stuff.

can anyone give me some information about that
Hi, I have been using moto x gen 1 from a year . i have observed that the performance of the phone has gone down after upgrading the phone to lollipop 5.1 (official). I used to get free RAM of about 1gb or more when no apps are running in background initially (in kitkat and jellybean). Now after lollipop update i get only 500 to 600 mb free ram. Also battery life has become pathetic. battery doesn't even last a day. i get screen time of max 2 to 2.5 hrs. So please some one suggest a method to downgrade the software from lollipop to jellybean.
Awaiting response......
Give CyanogenMod 12.1 Rom a try. It feels much lighter and battery friendly than the stock. I get approximately 5hrs screen time playing back media and games throughout the day and upto 1gigs and more available free ram. Only way you can downgrade is if you have an unlocked bootloader, and if you do I highly suggest trying CM12.1. However, if you still wish to downgrade back to Kitkat or below than you may find the instructions available in the General forums as there was a recent thread created for that purpose.

If you can provide me with exact details about your device I might be able to help.
1. What is the device model? Eg.xt1052,xt1058,xt1060 etc
2.) Have you unlocked the bootloader? Without unlocking you cannot install custom roms such as CM12.1.
Moreover, if you haven't unlocked it yet then you are out of luck since you have officially updated your device to Lollipop so all known methods for unlocking bootloader will not work any longer.
You may also visit the link for more info.

Unfortunately nothing you can do at this point to downgrade without an unlocked bootloader. Any attempt will only lead to errors in fastboot and possibly brick your device. Just have to wait for when an unlock words with Lollipop but I wouldn't hold my breath if I were you.

Hi XDA community,
I have a really stupid question to ask here: which marshmallow rom can I flash to my Canadian variant Note 5 (Rogers)?
I have learned that all the Canadian Carriers offer the same variant Note 5 - N920W8 (could someone help confime this ???) and now I am really confused about MM update since not many roms specify our variant.
I really want to get updated to MM since it offers Doze and app permission control which will improve this phone's poor battery life.....
Also, where can I download the official MM rom??
Thanks in advance!!!
My guess is we're waiting. I know many have said ROMs are safe for T-Mobile models (N920T) as they are similar, but seems we are getting Marshmallow before them do it's a matter of convincing more developers to add the W8 to the list. :/
You need TWRP for your device.
You can flash almost any international ROM, visit one of my ROM threads which have a voice fix which you flash after flashing the ROM.
That voice fix can be used on any international ROM.
Here is the direct link: https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=24459283995315328
Flash the a ROM of your choice then flash this fix. Reboot.
Enjoy.

A month ago, I purchased a Sony Xperia X Performance from DoCoMo and I soon realised that I could not use neither NTTdocomo services such as Making a phone call, Texting, Using data,..., which are really essential for a student nor services from another careers. I spent my whole November on searching for a international rom for my Sony device, well, I did find it on Mobilecity site; however, I needs to have the permission from the owner to download, and unfortunately, the owner did not respond to my request. Now, I'm stuck in the Android 6 and maybe, I will have to live with Marshmallow eternally. Could any XDAdeveloper/member help me or give me a global Android 7, or even a global Android 8 rom for Xperia X Performance SO-04H (NTTdomomo)? I would be really appreciated
P/S: I am a new xda member so I am not allowed to attach the link
Anyone please ???
Have you tried using the Xperia Companion app on your PC? Just go to software repair tab, and follow instructions, after you're done just select a firmware you want from the list.

Don't post about something if you are not going to include solutions to what you claimed.
Hello everyone! I have such a question here. Which custom firmware is best to install on my XZ1 Compact Docomo version? (SO-02K) Which one works the most stable? I chose custom firmware, because I will not be able to flash my SO-02K on G8841 firmware.
Been wondering that myself recently, it seems HavocOS is the way to go. Here a user described flashing it on his SO-02K.
Haven't attempted it yet but that's my goal don't see much of a point spending some $30 unlocking my model's hardlocked bootloader, so provisionally settled for manual debloating with a yucky but functional ADB AppControl. Who knows, maybe a free un(hard)locking solution will become available soon or a compatible Android 12 ROM will get a release and then I might cave.
