Enter network lock control key ?

Hello dear friends ,
I brought a unlocked phone from amazon. galaxy note N7000 with 2.3.6 android. it worked fine in unitedstates. now i came to india and it worked fine in india too for first few days. the phone was updated to 4.0.4 by samsung kies yesterday and now i am not getting my calls or texts. when ever i switch on it shows me the message as " ENTER NETWORK LOCK CONTROL KEY " UNLOCK or DISMISS.
.. i dont know where to find my lock code . i dont know to which carrier my mobile is locked ? please help me with this issue ?
i didnt enter any unlock code till now . i didnt root or install any custom roms till now.
should i get it unlocked by unlocker.net website ?
should i downgrade to 4.0.3 ?
any input will be highly appreciated ..

i am on android 4.0,4 . can you please tell me how to root this ?

Samsung recently released the new XXLRQ (ICS 4.0.4) Update for the Galaxy Note GT-N7000 that combines features from Galaxy S III and the Note II, I'm pretty sure you all know about this.
So I flashed the update using ODIN and it worked perfectly, the ROM is great and all but the problem is the Network Lock Key !
I can't use my phone as AN ACTUAL PHONE! No calls, no texts, no mobile network, nothing!
Any help ??

No, you need to be rooted to gain admin rights.

Bluetooth no function .
Dr. Ketan my galaxy note n7000 use the tool number 18 to unlock the lock code is ok.
But now the Bluetooth can not function so what can I do?

are you on a safe kernel? If yes, do a wipe data / factory reset and check BT again

Please help - How to change firmware on N 7000 Samsung ?

Samsung Note GT-N7000
Android 4.1.2
My brother purchase by mistake a new Samsung Note GT-N7000 that is meant for use in Korea.
But here in Singapore, the set seem not compatible.
While I can make and receive calls and receive SMS, , sending SMS is limited to 80 characters
vs the standard 160 characters. Besides, there are a lot of Korean characters / messages
on the KB and other pop up menus, which I cannot comprehend..
I contacted Samsung service center and they tell me they cannot do much about
this , as this is a set meant for use in Korea.
Now I think, maybe I should take the risk and reinstall the firmware and SW.
( Perhaps Cyanogen or something similar ? ).
I am not skilled in this.
May I request anyone here to point to me some tutorial to guide me through step by step
in installing a new firmware / software and make it fully English compatible and for use in Singapore ?
I don't mind losing the warranty, ( if there is any ).
I just hope I don't brick the fone. It is only 3 days old.

Only one question: Will it completely solve my problem as mentioned in my post..
or are there any uncertainties.

You should take extra caution to varify it is n7000 or it is shv160 for korea. Use wrong rom will brick phone. Do some more search to varify first.

I went to "About phone " and checked.
Model number shown is: SHV-E160L
Baseband version E160LKLJMK1
KERNEL: 3.0.31-1034927
BUILD NO: JZO54K.E160LKLJMK4
My mistake - Earlier I looked only at the packing box: Which shows GT - N7000

if u still not sure what's ur set is u can go to download mode n the 2nd line will show
ur phone model.

There seem to be a thread on rom for shv160 and there should be guide in that thread as well. If you want custom rom u need to read and learn how to install and manage it. Cheers.

I took a look at that page.
It is filled with dire warnings and tech terms which is Greek to me.
My original problem was that I could not make calls or send out texts.
When I want to make a call - either manually enter the number or selecting from contacts
a +82 prefix was added and the number is shown as invalid. Or Invalid recipient.
For texts, I could not enter any number or even select from contacts.
Now, thanks to a friend, I installed a dialer from Google play and the
phone seems to work normal. Still a few minor glitches are there which I think
can be fine tuned later on. A lot of time wasted tinkering with these devices. !
What surprises me is this. Here is a nice well designed fone with great
functionality. But in some areas, the designers seem to have slept on small details.
Just look at the flimsy back cover for example.
In this respect, the Apple I phone is tops.
The attention to detail is perfect.
My question: When there are now nearly a billion owners of smart fones.
How did this mature industry end up in a situation where endless bugs and glitches
seem to be in every fone model they put out into the market and cause headaches
to the customers ? - This is an avoidable tiresome experience to the users.
Another thing.
I found out there is a hidden code for this fone. 319 712 358.
The PW is: 0821
And there you set the mode to GSM only.
I also tried Cyanogenmod installer.
But it says that this model is not supported.

Not only N920K, but hope someone can make a custom rom with working calling audio for N920S also. Both models is korean variant and both suffer with the calling audio (no sound at all) during calling.

Plz check it again. That topic for Note5 Duos N9208, not for singgle sim Korea variant.

N920K and N920S ROMs can share each other's ROM?
You know what is problem? I can provide a ROM but not possible to update frequently. Once there is no regular update then some user push badly and never understand developer and keep spoiling thread..

We just need major updade, not frequently and quick update like international.
If you are only option to have custom Rom, I'm pretty sure they will not complaint, just praise you and your hard work.
N920K, N920S and N920L can share same rom, just different modem, bootloader which dev will not touch on any Note 5 variant

Devs shouldn't have to bother with different modem, bootloader, we the user can easily find that ourselves plus a dev has enough on their plate when creating a custom ROM.
There are a couple of Note5 ROMs available for which you're searching here on XDA.
The problem is some people don't bother reading and/or researching for their smartphone.

I will provide only one kernel on which ROM is based on. Users either use that one OR select custom kernel.

Atleast I tried to flash 3 Roms included Dr's N920C/I/G on my N5. I found that they have only incall sound problem, all other I saw work fine.

Let me download it first. If I could find audio fix then it will be better as you may get updated with international ROM
I will check and send you fix if possible. Meanwhile do flash my ROM L4 and make nandroid so anytime you can test fix.

I made my nandroid backup/EFS once I rooted and made some optimize/tweak on stock one. I'm willing to test any fix, any Rom you send/pm me.

Good news for N920K/L/S users. I have made call audio fix and reporting working fine. Still needs few test to perform. Stay tuned.

I need help fixing my lenovo A7000a no network signal

I have bought a new lenovo A7000a (Android Marshmallow) . Everything of the phone is okay expect the network. Sometimes it shows 1 or 2 bars and sometimes there are no network. When I insert my sim on other phone, I get full network.
Please someone help me. ???

Change band settings and MNP settings. For some phones these settings are applied automatically but for lenovo a7000-a we need to manually apply these settings. Use band-40 as network base for both sims and MNP - TCP must be valued according to the network provider which you are using. [emoji106] [emoji106] [emoji106] all the best bro

First u need to Flash Custom Recovery and root ur device....and after that u can flash Custom Roms

The note 4 forum has roms more than a person could possibly flash ? ? .. and here we are !!
So is there a way to port those roms here .. taking into account that they has basically the same hardware ?

The problem is not about doing, the problem is who is gonna do it... Some are trying but still without a luck. And same hardware, not necessarily means easy to port.
