Okay so as you can see I have a dock and then my homescreen columns are 12x12
How do I lower the gap between the vertical icons? My margin height is set to none, I've tried setting it to small and still the same
Any idea? Screen shot attached
I've also tried making the icons bigger and trying without a dock and there's still a large gap between icons
I use a 7 column x 10 rows, and the gap between rows is somewhat like yours, I think there is no way to modify it, I tried with the normalize icon switch, but made no diference, I tried changing dpi in developer section, same thing

Has anyone tried to decrease the size of the app drawer by about half? The reason I ask is because with advanced launcher I only have 2 rows of icons and don't really need the black space. Optimally I would like it to end just above the first 2 rows of icons, mainly because a lot of people use the flip clock widget which would make it still visible with the app drawer up.
No one knows how if this is even possible.
I've been using MIUI for a while now - main reason being the icons are spaced out with correct size. With 5 rows and 4 columns their sizes look like iphone. But when i use the same 5x4 with other lauchers the icons and the labels are too small for me to read..Not sure why?
I'd love to use APEX or nova if i can get the same layout as miui - they're more flexible for icon change and app drawer etc..
Any ideas or tips?
Hello. I have just started to try out some custom ROMs and I did fond 2 I actually like. They are both CM 7.2 but there is one thing that bothers me the most that is probably not a big deal to most.
Whenever I tap on the notification bar, I see a transparent shadow following it down. It keeps on following when dragging down and stops about when in the middle of the dockbar icons of the ADW launcher. That shadow gets random sizes and it's hard to not notice while screen is white.
It might not be very visible on the picture but it was the best sample I could get.
Is there a way to hide it or to just make it less visible?
how do you change the icon size ? The stock icons are quite huge.
Keep pushing on a home screen and you will see along with widgets, themes and wallpaper a fourth option grid size. You can change the grid size from 4x4 to 4x5 or 5x5.
that is only the grid but not the icon, i already on 5x5. The stock icons are still big. From my previous oneplus one, I installed the Texdroider DPI from app store, it allows me to change the density from stock to 380.
It makes the screen more space plus icons is smaller also.

The grid size does affect the icon size, but only slightly. You cannot increase the grid beyond 5x5 with the stock launcher. You can install a different launcher, like Nova, and it will give you additional options where you can not only change the grid size and icon size, but can also change the icons themselves. I use Nova and love it!
Hi there, I've tried to change the phone's DPI, but there's something weird...navbar, statusbar and shortcuts panel do not change with the rest of the interface! Looks like these elements cannot be modified, even with adb commands.
Has someone tried to do this thing too? Not a big issue, but the shortcuts' panel is waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay too big for me.
No one?
I'm interested to know too. The notification bar is ridiculously tiny and there seems no way to resize it so it's easily readable.
I'm now using widgets just so i can see the time and battery power. Using a launcher that shows notifications on the apps on my home screen too.
Never had a problem like this with my pixel 2. Notification bar was legible out of the box
